I was looking for a new salon nearby for a simple haircut (layers) because I needed a new cut before an event Friday evening. I called the salon on Tuesday to make an appointment, the lady I spoke to gave me a number to one of their stylist. So then I contacted that stylist who's number I was given - I asked for Thursday but the stylist wasn't available so we agreed for Friday @ 830am since that is the only time I can go in before my event. She texts me today saying she couldn't do Friday now and needed to reschedule me or she can find a stylist who may be able to accommodate my time. I said sure just let me know. The evening comes and still no word back regarding a new stylist or appointment (which was suppose to be for tomorrow morning). I even sent a follow up text asking for an update. No reply. My mom scheduled an appointment with Shayla over text and Shayla stopped responding shortly after. When my mom showed up for her appointment, Shayla was no where to be seen. Another employee went to the back to try and find her. Shayla called my mom explained that she has an appointment with another client right now. While this is happening, another employee motions at my mom to get out of the salon. Shayla then told my mom "we don't deal with your clientele". "We don't deal with pissy". Absolutely disgusting, unprofessional, and sad. They are treating people like trash and do not deserve to run a business. read more

Karisty is basically my lord and savior I have known her for many years and I'm always doing something to my hair either by myself, or with the help of other cosmetologists.. my most recent mistake?? Staff is friendly but the stylist who did my hair, cut my hair uneven. I had an appt w/one gal & ended up w/another---not sure why & i didn't ask. I was not taken at my appt time so waited. Staff recognized the wait so gave me a deep hair conditioning job to pass time. That was appreciated. In the end, i didn't check the back of my hair because it was already a long visit. I should have though & if I had, I would have caught the uneven haircut in the back. I think my stylist was tired and busy/rushed. Haley went above and beyond to meet my scheduling needs. I have very thick curly hair and have had issues in the past with it being cut and colored correctly, Haley did a great job. Went in to get a cut & color with Shayla Proctor. Did a very amateur job. I noticed a large area of hair missing color and my hair had burnt orange/red from the bleach that was underprocessed and not blended correctly. I texted Shayla asking if she could correct the situation. Her response was to go to Sally's and purchase a shimmering shampoo. She didn't offer for me to come in to look at it and correct it. Instead she resorted to name calling and shifting the blame instead of solving the problem. Very unprofessional! read more

I needed a hair cut last min because I have been working all week and I have an event tonight. I called at 1120, they said they did not have anyone. They called me back in 5 mins and the owner Karisty took me in at 1145. I was just planning on a hair cut, but she gave me suggestions on toning my hair so it will look better with the new cut. I called the salon to make an appointment about 3 months ago to which I was given the personal number of the colorist/ stylist I would be working with which was kiley, and I am so glad it was! Kiley is the sweetest person and did an amazing job on my color and cut. I absolutely love my hair, I feel so beautiful and can't wait to go back and have her work her work her magic on my locks again! But her color wasn't the only thing that was amazing it was also her amazing hospitality as well as her willingness to find me an appointment time that worked for me.... we had a greater conversation and I feel like we really connected. **This place just moved around the corner and the new address is 520 Clovis Avenue. It is next door to Kuppa Joy Coffee House. A friend referred me to Brooke for a cut and color. This place is so cute and so clean! The vibe inside is Old Town Clovis meets industrial, with exposed brick on two walls and dark wood with exposed beams and vintage chandeliers. Brooke did an amazing job transforming my brassy blonde mess into a sophisticated coif with highlights and low-lights and face-framing bangs. This little gem of Old Town Clovis also has a little boutique inside with purses, jewelry, and tops that are pretty cute. They also offer waxing and pedicures. I will definitely be back and will be referring all of my friends to Brooke! read more

I came in to have a keratin treatment with Nez today, and let me tell you, I was impressed! She was informative about the product and forthright with what the results would do and wouldn't do for my hair. She was friendly and worked fast as well, I've sat in a 3 hour-long keratin treatment before, and Nez did the job, completely, in 2 hours! I never felt that she was moving too fast or skimping on any of the product, either.
