Had a great experience getting a women's haircut from Bobbi. Booking was simple via text. For $70 you get the cut, wash, and style. She was really friendly and communicative about what I wanted. I got a basic trim, similar to the style I walked in with, so I can't really speak to more technical services. It's a very kid-friendly salon and had more of a daycare energy than a serene environment when I visited, which could be a pro or con depending on what you're looking for. read more

I'm a natural brunette but wear my hair as a bronde. She's able to blend my roots so I never have a hard line, and for the first time in my adult life my hair has grown nearly to my waist. I'm going to admit it publicly... I'm a box dye kinda gal . (There's a stylist out there somewhere in the world who just passed out from me saying that). I know I KNOW... it's horrible for you BUT it's just convenient, ya know? It's like frozen chicken nuggets-fast, cheap, convenient, and horrible for you. It gets the job done event though it's temporary. Ok so what brought me to this moment? I had always talked about getting my hair done with my girl Jess. Jess and I go way back and she LOVES La Dama. She's goes way back with them. She gave me contacts for hair but right when I would think about booking, that box dye just whispers "I'm 2 for $14 at Target, Sis!" and I would put the phone down in a trance and go to Target. My hair was sad, lackluster. I think my dog's coat is better than mine. Anyway, so Jess plans this "girls trip" and we magically end up at the new La Dama salon that's in The Row. I'm thinking, oh she probably just needs to get a touch up, I'll just wait. NOPE! She was like, Happy Birthday & Merry Christmas B****! (She didn't add that last word. I added it for exaggeration because it was like a mic drop moment). So FIRST, damn this place is nice!!! It's so chic and incredibly decorated. Jessika (owner and not the "Jess" mentioned above LOL) is so nice!!!! Her and Evelin had their work cut out for them with my hair. You'll be proud though, because I switched to Olaplex 3 weeks prior to this happening so I got a little win in LOL (still ashamed of my box dye). Hair coloring is such a PROCESS. It's legit chemistry with color and it's so dope to watch. They'll be like "yea let's do a 4N and a 5C" (I made up those numbers off of slight recall but IYKYK). I was in and out of the chair for 2-3 hours maybe? I have so much more respect for stylists and am so humbled by the entire experience because each persons hair is different and has a different template. The ability to look at hair and know what a client wants would give me anxiety. When I was finished, my hair looked straight out of Pinterest. I think the first thing out of my mouth was "Oh damn" Hear me: I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE BOX. A little louder for those in the back: DROP YOUR BOX DYE, SIS! I made my touch up appointment with Evelin for January and I couldn't be any happier. I think what really did it for me, besides the fabulous hair, is that the women here are GENUINE. I felt cared for and they engaged it in meaningful conversation that made you feel at ease - Like you were talking to an old friend. I Trusted the stylist, when finished she did not style my hair which what a standard haircut comes with. I asked but she said that she had no time as she had scheduled someone else. I decided to just leave at that point she also asked me if she could fix anything. I said no as I didn't want my haircut any shorter. I was confident that the haircut I requested was within the realm of possibility for my hair, yet the end result proved otherwise. Poor communication. Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance for 12pm appointment time. Then received 2 texts the days prior to the appointment day stating the appointment time was now at 2pm. I arrived on the appointment date at 2pm, waited for an hour before being told the appointment was at 12pm...the hair dresser didn't even come out to discuss with me during the entire hour because she was busy. She is so good at blending and giving me the perfect "lived-in" but fresh blonde look. I mean it..I live in Seattle and fly to Fresno to get my blonde done by her. She not only does my hair, but she takes the time to educate me on proper maintenance and how to make my color last. I went to their website to make an appointment and got set up with Amanda and she was great, I asked for a full balayage and a haircut! I have very thick curly hair it took about 4 hours and paid 320.00! Which thought that was fair for all the work she did! She took her time and did exactly what I wanted, I absolutely love it! I am so excited with my decision to get my eyebrows microbladed at this salon. As you can see in my before photo, I didn't have much knowledge on how to maintain my brows BUT now that my eyebrows have been professionally taken care of, I AM IN LOVE WITH THEM. They actually look like twins and not like distant cousins the picture is proof that eyebrows really do change the way your face and eyes look. I came to my appointment on time with many pictures of what hairstyle I was aiming for- face framing highlights and to lighten up for spring/summer and I let Sarah do her magic! Hairstylists know best everyone! Let me tell you, I was SO IMPRESSED of the results! It was exactly what I was looking for and I definitely could say- better than I imagined! The color Sarah whipped up complimented my skin tone so perfectly, the cut complimented my face shape- I've never been so happy walking out of a hair salon before. Additionally, Sarah was so easy to talk to (having just met), very kind, great listener, etc... so nice to see from any business! Her price was SUPER affordable for my medium-short hair- I was shocked! I usually walk out of salons spending over $300. And I have to comment on the Women Empowerment vibes of the salon- my favorite. They have a mini lounge/waiting area with women empowerment books, canvases on the walls of women role models (Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Selena, Lisa Ling, and others)... so wonderful.
