I recently lucked out on snagged an OG Ibanez AFR-105 (IYKYK). Took it in to Jeff for a once over, a stacked knob issue, and a pro set up and it came back looking and sounding amazing! Plus I got the added peace of mind knowing my vintage bass was in proper working order. Most recently I took him a non-multiscale bass for a set up in drop F#. Granted, it was a very well built bass and the neck was capable, but he took to the challenge like an eager kid and knocked it out of the park! Not only that but he kept in constant contact with me throughout the process (it took longer than expected due to the difficulty of the request). Their prices for work are on par with most shops out there, so you're not even paying extra for the quality you get here. If Jeff ever leaves I'll follow him to his next place. Ultimately, he told me I would be happy with any of the options presented, so I got the ball I wanted from the beginning. I felt no pressure of judgement at all, and Robert was very understanding. He helped drilled my ball perfectly for me, and the price was very reasonable compared to what I had seen online. I came in thinking I would only want one ball for a few years, but now knowing that this shop exists, I wouldn't be surprised if I came back for a second ball. Update: got another ball! He even taught me a proper finger placement to use for spares with my no thumb one hand Tom Daugherty style which worked like a charm and now will be implemented in my game and can't thank him enough for his attention to detail and customer service. Robert did an amazing job finding the right layout based on my speed and PAP. The holes drilled to my fingers swollen after bowling a few games to make sure they stay comfortable after a few games of play. The holes came out super comfortable with the smoothness and chamfer offset. After trying out my newly drilled ball I am super happy with the amount of hook and action and once I was able to zero in on the sweet spot and pocket it felt perfect.
