Oh my god, I am so happy to have found x2o studio!!!…read more I've been deep into lagree for the last year, and needed a studio for when I'm in Los Gatos. I live about 30 mins away, but I'm in Los Gatos often so it's convenient to have a studio nearby that I love. I've been over 5 times so far (whenever I'm in town), and every instructor I've had is equally amazing. The studio is pretty cold when you walk in, but within 5 minutes you're warmed up and it becomes the perfect temperature for a workout. The music is great and this studio is a vibe. Truly one of the best I've found-- and I've tried a lot in the area!

What stood out to me was how spacious and aesthetically pleasing the studio is. It gives total "Pilates princess" vibes, and the instructors are so friendly and welcoming. With about 12 reformers, the class size feels intimate, and the instructors do a great job walking around to help correct form and technique. The upbeat, popular music they play adds a motivating energy that makes those tough exercises more bearable! Plus, the reformers are wiped down after each class, and the calming scent in the studio is such a nice touch. What really sets this studio apart from others is that they also offer weight training and HIIT classes which is located next door. If you're looking to mix things up with other forms of exercise, this is the perfect place to do it! Classes are booked through their app, where you can even select your preferred spot. That said, it's a good idea to arrive about 10 minutes early to secure the spot you want. I'd definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking to start or continue their Pilates journey--it's the perfect mix of style, comfort, and variety!

I am one of the Los Gatos Spenga's founding members. I've been going here over four years and…read morerecently celebrated my 500th session. This means that this review is about four and a half years late. I first joined Spenga from a gym that did a lot of HIT workouts. The workouts were decent, but there was never time given to cool down and stretching. I heard about the new Spenga opening up in LG and was immediately interested due to the yoga. Spenga is a whole body work out-- spin/strength/yoga (20 minutes of each in an hour long session). If you have never done the Spenga work out-- it is HARD. Every single time. Because as you get stronger and stronger, your "sweet spot" (power output on the bike) gets higher and you are encouraged to lift heavier weights and do stronger yoga poses. The combination of spin/strength/yoga goes by quickly, especially as there's so much you have to pay attention to. But the reason I have stayed so long at Spenga is the instructors and the community. Some instructors (Marina) have been there from the start. She recently celebrated her 2000 session. Chloie-- also an OG-- celebrated her 1500 session. Having the same instructors mean they get to know you personally (which is a double-edge sword-- they will push you to work harder!!) One of the co-owners, Dan, is a regular-- he is often at the front desk or taking a class with us. The instructors and the front desk team make you feel welcomed. You are greeted by name (unlike other studios I've attended where they work hard to ignore you), and the instructors even ask you to introduce yourself to your neighbor in the work out. As I take classes at the same time every day, I get to know the other people in the class. We cheer each other on, especially during the tough workouts. There are lots of celebration moments-- check out Spengalg's instagram accounts to see pics of the clients hitting major milestones, working on their birthday, etc. Spenga attracts all kinds of people. It's a workout that has something for everyone. Whether you are looking to get back in shape, get into a shape you have never been, or wanting variety from your current routine, I'd recommend giving Spenga a visit!

I've been coming to SPENGA for about six months now, and I love it…read more Staff: They've built a real community at SPENGA. The staff are friendly and welcoming, from the front desk managers to each and every instructor. Each instructor has a different vibe -- and they're all great. From time to time, the studio runs different fitness challenges, which helps foster the community atmosphere. Atmosphere: The studio is set up into three different sections - one for spin, one for strength, and the other for yoga. The facilities are modern and very clean. It's nice! Classes: The signature Spenga workout is 60 minutes - 20 minutes of spin, 20 minutes of strength, and 20 minutes of yoga. The Spin classes ramp up in intensity based on your own performance over time through increasing your "sweet spot." This is nice because you can see how much you improve over time. After a SPENGA class, I feel like I've had a great workout and love that it ends in yoga. The mix of all three parts works so well for me. I'd gotten out of the habit of working out -life got busy. And SPENGA has been great for me to get back into the swing of things. I've gotten good results in terms of fat loss and physical performance. I can't wait to see what the next six months has in store. I'd absolutely recommend giving it a try if you are looking for a new fitness activity in Los Gatos.

The 5 star reviews set my expectations way too high. This review is for 1 weekday morning class. Btw, I love Zumba and have taken dance and fitness classes regularly with other instructors and studios. The pros - Sheila is a great dancer, I'm guessing she has a dance background and not just fitness instruction (big difference). Negatives - *The studio is very old and shabby with not enough air during class or even lighting for my liking. I would not send my kids to Dance Effects studio which Sheila uses for Zumba. *I got there 15 minutes early but doors don't even open until right before class start time. Regulars show up 5 minutes before class or after. *Students are mostly regulars and cliquish *Sheila doesn't really instruct, she mostly moves and you follow. *Most students do not or cannot follow the routine so energy in room is low. Low impact, good for older adults but not me. *Oddest bunch of students I've ever experienced, two students were literally doing their own routines, 1 with hand weights and the other having a great old time by himself and hooting. The 1 with hand weights stared grinding her hips for no apparent reason during cool down even though that wasn't part of Sheila's routine. It's great regulars have found a groove and probably cleared it beforehand to do their own (rehabilitative?) workouts during class time but it would be helpful if Sheila explained this to new people. Otherwise, very distracting! The guy hooting was annoying even when not dancing. *Regulars were complaining about Sheila before doors opened and gossiping about an incident that occurred the day before which caused one of them to leave class early. Sheila seemed high-strung and/or in a bad mood. Overall I had the strangest and most memorable Groupon-Fitness experience here. Your mileage may vary!

I've tried most of the studios in the LG area and this one is by far the best. Not to mention it's inclusive, non-intimidating, and classes have a wide age range. The level 1s can be great too depending on the teacher. Some teachers put up a great challenge even in level 1 while others made it pretty easy and I didn't feel like my core was getting the challenge it needed. Almost always the reformer level 2 classes were booked so we couldn't end up signing up for those weeks in advance. We attended one by a new / training teacher and that was fabulous. Decided not to continue because the reformer level 2s were super hard to get into and wish there were more of those.

It's also wonderful that the kids skill-build and are able to advance to the next belt, which allows them pride for the work they've done. Confidence-building is also another big plus in this class. My daughter is four, and can be very shy. This class has been good for her because it encourages her to step outside her comfort zone and become more confident in her voice and actions. It's also a fantastic way to get energy out, while following the class course at the same time, through fun obstacle courses, and a big group game at the end. The kids have fun and learn many important life skills!
