I decided to do this as a Christmas/Birthday gift for my husband. I told him it was a gift for both of us and that is exactly what it turned out to be. When he opened it, tears sprang into his eyes and he said something like these pictures are so beautiful and I hope you can now see how I see you. Wow. As everyone else has said, this was an extremely empowering experience. I recently gained some weight and have been feeling bit down about my body. Melissa makes you feel so special and SEXY! Natalie did my hair, which was perfect. My make-up was beautiful and I'm so sorry I've forgotten her name! I opted to do a massage afterwards and that was also amazing--I don't remember her name either and I feel terrible about that! If you are thinking about doing a boudoir shoot and are on the fence, just do it! I felt so sexy and the pictures were so beautiful (I seriously didn't know my butt could look like that!). I'm sorry, but why are there are only two reviews? Melissa deserves way more hype!!! I have been working on loving myself this year, which is a struggle. I've been following Melissa's work on Instagram for about a year and finally decided this was the time to do it and book a boudoir shoot! Her studio is beautiful, she is welcoming and a fantastic photographer. I was crazy nervous to be nude and nearly nude in front of her, but as soon as I stepped out in my undies I forgot to be nervous. Melissa puts you at such ease. And as she assures you, you'll be too busy straining to hold a sexy pose to remember that you're showing a lady your bits. It's fantastic that her shoots include hair and makeup by Roots Salon, she gives you great advice on how to prepare as well. I was again nervous to go in and view my photos. Would I like too many? Would I hate all of them because I think I look dumb in pictures? Yes to the first, no to the second. Melissa really helped me narrow things down so I had a variety of images, the best images, and so I could make my budget work. Yes, paying hundreds of dollars for naked photos feels like a huge deal. But you are paying for the time she spends with you, the time she spends editing each photo so you look perfect but still like yourself, and the experience of seeing yourself as an amazing woman!! I checked into a chain and they were going to schedule a consult like 3 weeks out. Seriously? Once I got up the nerve to pursue a boudoir studio session, I wanted to schedule quickly. I heard from Melissa and we chatted about my decision and how at 50, major body insecurities and a recent break-up... I wanted to do this before I lost my nerve. Being the girl next door with body insecurities isn't something I was sure was right, but Melissa heard my concerns and assured me that we are all beautiful and she would show m, and she did. The day was overwhelming but she caught me smiling in many images... which I love. She captured my playful side. When I saw the images I still wasn't sure... but the preview album came to my in box and when I showed them to someone new in my life, his reaction made me feel amazing and reminded me that I am more than I give myself credit. I recently came here for a boudoir photography sessions and it was awesome! I was kind of tenative because I am exactly a super model and never have done this before but Melissa totally puts you at ease. You first have a consultation with her which is nice because you get to meet the photographer and talk about what you want, etc. The session itself was very fun - you get hair and makeup done by stylist from Roots Salon. You get to change into different outfits with different backgrounds and whatnot, which is great because you get a variety. Melissa is great to work with because she is very creative. I would highly recommend Studio M - I would definitely go back again at some point! read more

Amazing experience! I was unsure about if I wanted to do a boudoir shoot- but I thought it would be a great Valentine's Day gift for my fiancé! So I called a few places- after being hurried off the phone by some other Studios who seemed to not care about my questions and just wanted a card number so they could schedule me... Melissa took the time to answer all my questions and was super pleasant!!! She made sure my shoot was amazing- I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. The photos turned out SOO good. I had a great experience working with Studio M Boudoir! Melissa answered all of my questions prior to booking very promptly. She also provides some information prior to the shoot on how to prepare, what to wear, etc. for your shoot. For first timers and anyone wanting to feel super prepared, this information was really helpful. The day of the shoot is a total blast - you get hair/makeup done at a nearby salon before the shoot. The studio itself has great light and a variety of sets/backgrounds. Melissa does a phenomenal job of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. She also makes sure to get any requested poses or ideas you may have and does a great job of helping pose so you get the best angles. There are a lot of different album types, prints and fun ways to display your photos, no matter what budget you're working with. I love that there's an app, too! I went in a few months back for an anniversary surprise for my husband. The process was extremely professional, contact with the owner Melissa was very pleasant and her partner, Brooke was my photographer. Brooke made me feel very comfortable and by the end of the session it felt like we were old friends. Although this was a present for my husband (which he loved by the way!) If you would've told me five years ago that I would ever do a boudoir shoot, let alone three of them, I would've told you you were nuts. After pregnancy and a nasty c-section from my daughter, and the thirty pounds I just couldn't seem to drop, I felt less than stunning. But when I looked at the gorgeous shots on Studio M's website, I couldn't stop thinking about doing it. Over the last two years, I have done a couples' shoot with my (now) husband, a solo shoot, and a surprise bridal boudoir shoot. The couples' shoot was SO much fun, and a great bonding experience for us. The solo shoot was a blast; I loved the outfit/look changes! The bridal boudoir shoot was super exciting, thinking about how much my husband would love the album on the morning of our wedding day! If you've been to the website, the photos clearly speak for themselves. You CANNOT NOT look gorgeous. The artistry, creativity, positioning, photo editing, lighting... it's ALL incredible. But I think that the more important thing goes beyond the photos you get. The experience is truly awesome. It seems intimidating going in, but as you get primped for your shoot, you feel like a movie star. When you look in the mirror you are amazed that you can look like such a vixen. Within the first two minutes of Melissa posing you and guiding you, in a totally non-threatening and gentle way, you find yourself giggling with her and actually feeling relaxed and having fun! Like Jennifer said in the previous post, Melissa is incredibly creative!! She managed to put me completely at ease and the entire process was so much fun. She's so patient and helpful--even when I had garter belt trouble she was totally unafraid to help me buckle back up! Not only is she experienced, but she goes above and beyond what you would expect. The second you email her, she calls you to make sure you're on the same page. Anytime you have questions she is there to answer.
