If there is one thing I appreciate in working with professionals, it's those that are detail oriented and prepared--Jen is both! I didn't have to worry one bit. Rain or shine, I knew my pictures were going to look amazing. It's not every day that you meet a photographer as prepared and professional enough to have galoshes and 10 black umbrellas in their car just in case of rain. She even brings her own lighting if need be. What I especially love is how organized she was about the wedding timeline. Snap snap snap, a few jokes to get great laughs and beautiful smiles, and then move on to the next set! There is no dilly-dally going on but it all felt very natural. She gets the shot and moves on to another beautiful pose. This made it especially wonderful for the family shots. We lined up, added and subtracted people--and snap snap snap--we were done! We were able to enjoy most of our cocktail hour and appetizers because of it! AMAZING. Okay, so lets talk about her personality. She is so cool! Easy going, makes you feel good behind the camera. You can tell that she enjoys everyone's unique personalities and she knows how to make that come out in her pictures. Jen even took extra pictures of us during our reception even though she wasn't being paid for that part of the wedding. She captured some great speech moments and tears. With LinkedIn and social media being such a big deal now a days, you better look profesh, and you better look good while you're doing it. She cleared her schedule and was able to beautifully capture my increasingly huge and more active, less sleepy infant. The preparation that went into the shoot was top notch from the heat being turned up in the studio so my baby wasn't cold to the wide variety of outfits, props, sound machine, and she even had a camping/outdoorsy background that fit our nursery theme! We BOTH felt we were in the best of care; my baby is normally fussy in the hands of strangers but Kara had a way of calming him to get all the cutest poses effortlessly, and I as a new mom was able to finally relax for a few hours. Laura was there throughout the entire wedding planning process, offering answers to an of my random questions including timing for the day of, vendors, etc. Laura ran our rehearsal confidently and made sure we had everything just the way we wanted it. After the rehearsal, she even loaded up all of our venue décor for the wedding day so we didn't have to worry about it the day of. There were things I even had given her that I had no clue how they'd be used and she utilized them better than I ever could have imagined. On the day of the wedding, Laura was simply incredible. I had a blast at my own wedding as did all my loved ones that, without Laura, would have had so much more to be concerned with. Laura took care of everything from the ceremony to the very last call. She worked with the florists to set up the venues and it looked absolutely perfect. Better than I could have ever even imagined.
