After having several negative and sub-par experiences with other hair salons in Fresno, I thought I was out of luck. I signed up to be on her waitlist, and I'm so happy that I did. Besides Sierra being one of the most awesome and kindest people I have ever met, she did a beautiful job with my hair. I did not come in with any inspiration pictures, but I explained that I wanted dark brown and a cool-toned purple/violet color. Sierra let me know what would look best based on my hair type, and she also recommended some products that she had in her salon and others that I had to pick up. She told me straight up if something would not work for me, whether it was a hairstyle/color/product, and I truly appreciated that. The end result was phenomenal! It was like she read my mind and gave me my dream hair color. She also cut and styled it well. I honestly couldn't be happier. She always had her own unique way of doing things, and I trusted her judgment when it came to my hair. That trust is something I now deeply regret. This last visit, I made the decision to go blonde. Claudia was confident she could make it happen and told me to stay "as long as it takes" with no time limit. She applied bleach and foils to my entire head, but shortly after, she checked the foils and said some of my hair had come out. She immediately panicked, pulled the foils off, and rinsed my hair out. Then she said, "Oh, I could've left them in--I just forgot where I put the 10 and where I put the 20." That statement alone was incredibly alarming. To rewind a bit--Claudia had insisted I come in the day before for a keratin treatment that would supposedly help lighten my hair before bleaching. I paid $200 for that treatment, and it barely made a difference. Back to the day of the bleaching--after removing the foils early, she applied a caramel toner to my hair. Before even drying it, she sat in front of her camera and told me she was only charging me for her time, not the products, and that the total would be $650. I was completely shocked and upset but went ahead and paid it, hoping at least the end result would be worth it. When she dried my hair, it was a disaster--an uneven mess of brown, blonde, and green tones. I told her it looked awful and even cried in her chair, but she showed no concern or care. I left feeling devastated and humiliated. Afterward, I texted Claudia asking for at least a partial refund. She refused, claiming it wasn't her fault and even said she had a camera in her office that "recorded everything." She also charged me $70 for a conditioning treatment I never agreed to--promising to refund it but never following through. Over the years, I noticed Claudia was steadily losing clients, and now I understand why. Her work, attitude, and lack of accountability have driven people away. I truly thought we had a friendship, but clearly, I was mistaken. Please, save yourself the money, stress, and heartache. Stay far away from Claudia, her salon, and all the drama that comes with it.

I come in and I asked her if she could bleach to my roots she ends up putting a darker color that turns my whole hair, a more red and copper texture and then tells me that I don't see no red when I did so I was like OK well, maybe I I'm wrong the next day. I noticed that my hair is turning the color that you see in the photo and then it just enhances so I go in again she bleachers doesn't leave it in long then my hair starts breaking and this is what I end up with she literally said that the color remover that she put on shifted my roots or something like that and that this is as good as it's gonna get and thatshe'll fix it. The next time I come in in October when I pay again, I get a call yesterday stating that she's cutting down on her color customer service and that she doesn't want me as a customer so she screwed up my hair didn't even fix it and this is what I have to sit with after almost $500. I first started going to her based solely off her name , Color me Chula, and a good reference from a friend. At each appointment she always takes the time to educate me about my choices and help me navigate my hair or skin services. She individualizes each appointment to best suit my needs at that time. BUT I can say that each appointment always feels like much more than that. It feels much more like a healing session. Now those are not the services she offers but her energy and ability to make a person feel at ease and comfortable is an amazing gift . Typically when I schedule services such as these I always feel nervous about going to a salon environment, but I have never felt that way at Color Me Chula, Hands down she gives the best facials ever. She did a great job. Trim, wash and curl too. Great little environment. Music playing! Calm and low-key. Caught up and hair turned out Great! Paid for it, set up anther appointment and she wished happy holidays coming up! Really great place, hairstylist and highlight, trim, curl! Highly recommended!!
