It was a long drive and the provider seemed to have lost my appointment and double booked and couldn't squeeze me in. And she admitted she messed up and did find the appointment while I was there. But I had to wait a week to rebook and it's not like I live in Brookings. I drive down from Gold Beach. The ambiance is horrible because somebody crashed into the front months earlier and it hasn't been repaired yet. Just hazard tape around the bashed-in front wall. The provider didn't have a lot of experience and 50$ was too much for the level (and lack) of service. I'll never go back. But hey, there aren't a whole lot of providers for pedicures in Brookings OR Gold Beach. It's a shame. I'll keep looking, but I think I'll have to drive to Crescent City or Grants pass for better service. Either that or just go back to doing my own pedicures. Can't complain too much. We live in paradise here. So there's good with the bad. It's just too small of a town to have more options available. And I dont think I wish the town would get any bigger. #SmallTownProblems

it's been a while since i went for my cuts with michael, and am remiss in not writing this sooner…read more but i was very very happy with michael and the whole tangles experience. i found him talented, friendly, fun to chat with and so very personable. i walked in giving him little direction in what i wanted and he did a great job in giving me a cut that i really liked. his shop seems to be run like a well oiled machine, which, in this day/age, impresses me. i would high recommend michael - he's terrific.

i've been to few hairstyists in the area since arriving in brookings several years ago. after…read moreseeing laura at escape to beauty, i quit looking for someone who i might like better. there have been times when she had to juggle her schedule to fit me or a member of my family in. the most selfless occasion was when she came to my home to take care of a needed trim. laura is awesome. she'll cut your hair the way you want, or has terrific suggestions and ideas on what you can do if you're not sure. hubby and son are also fans.
