Not the best place to play soccer…read more.... There is no AC ! And with games going on constantly and tons of people watching.. All inside a small facility .. It gets musty, smelly, hot and humid... I leave that place feeling sick and sometimes nauseous from the feet/armpit/ass/ and sweat smell. The people that run this place have no managerial experience ... They sell soccer shoes, clothing and accessories but constantly change everything around, one week stuff is there being sold next week its all gone, the week after they only have shoes???? Now they sell metro phones inside? Soccer matches are disorganized ... For example there have been times when the other teams have cancelled.. And we were never told.. Everyone shows up and we are told to wait 30 mins just in case that by some miracle a team shows up to play against us... :( also I guess some people here have connections to the owners and they can pick and choose who refs for their games... Wth is up with that?? Games have become invalid and we are forced to play again and are given bs excuses.... It is however more affordable then other facilities it's 5vs5 and it's soccer.. So I guess that's worth 2 stars

I can understand why people would prefer an indoor arena in Las Vegas because some days it is just plain and simple too hot to play outside! But with that being said this place has no air conditioning!! There was a big fan next to the bleachers we asked the nice girl who was working to turn on and that made it comfortable for us, but I can only imagine the players were dying out there!! I also didn't like that you couldn't bring your own drinks into the arena, like not even alcohol we just had water for the players. They sell water inside but I would rather just bring our own. The staff was very nice, and we will continue to go watch our friends play, we will just dress a lot lighter!

I'm not sure how I feel about giving it three stars but that's what I'm going to give it. I think…read moresince I understood how it worked it was easy to follow. If you don't understand how a bout works you may have a little trouble. What I liked about it was the enthusiasm from the crowd and a couple of times the rowdiness of the skaters. There was a lot of lulls and not a lot of action so that makes it hard to want to pay attention to. What I didn't like was it was kind of hard to see especially if you were sitting down in the rows of chairs...so I actually chose to sit on the floor right in front of the rink which I wasn't crazy about. They play music the whole time which is cool but then the announcers try to talk and give you updates on the game and it's really hard to hear or understand what's actually being said. They serve beer drinks and even snacks but my suggestion is eat or get drunk before you go because they charge an arm and a leg inside the ballroom. You can't bring outside food or drinks in so if you go to the casino you can get a beer for two dollars Or stay in the ballroom and pay 7 to 10. It's not rocket science. I'll have to say it is fun to meet up with some friends hang out laugh and talk while watching something sort out on the side. It was their last bout at the Riviera as we all know it's going to be torn down so that was kind of cool in a little nostalgic. Hopefully the skaters will find a new venue to continue their tradition.

Ruthless. Competitive. Sexy…read more Sin City Rollergirls are cool, they are feisty and their matches are totally worth watching! If you were ever lucky enough to catch RollerGames (1989-1990) on late night TV (as I did as a preteen), you know exactly what this game is all about and you can easily get hooked! On Saturday, April 25th, the Husband and I experienced our first real live roller derby match at the Las Vegas Roller Hockey Rink. It's located in the corner of the Commercial Center and can easily be missed, but it's there! Doors opened at 7 pm and the bout begins at 8 pm. You can choose to sit inside the rink on folding chairs, along the side on the floor, or safely behind the glass. Seats are up close and personal and they do promise the possibility of having a rollergirl in your lap! After the game, you can get autographs from your favorite players too! (There's a snack bar available too.) If you don't understand the game, they give out a handy little program with all the details, but the MC will also explain the game as it goes on. There's even a mini duel right at the beginning to give you a visual of what's about to happen. That evening, they played against the Arizona Roller Derby Tent City Terrors. Sure, we lost but it was a very exciting game and you never really knew who was going to win! Advanced tickets are $7 (although we tried purchasing such tickets the night before, but no luck), and $10 at the door. Kids under 10 and EMTs are free! This is definitely an athletic and family-friendly event, although a few of the players' names may be a bit suggestive. It looks like they have two local teams - The Notorious VIPs and the Tommy Gun Terrors. But when they play against another city, they combine into the Sin City Rollergirls. (Correct me if I'm wrong please!) The team colors of the Sin City Rollergirls are orange and black. We're definitely looking forward to catching at least one more game before their season ends!

I really enjoyed it! The staff were friendly when we walked in. It was cool seeing all the "mini" stadiums of major league baseball fields! My partner told me which ones were what. It was fun trying out the batting cages, there's different speeds and everything which was what I was looking forward to as a newbie! Then we went to the fields to play catch and practice my throws!

We had an early 8 AM game, which meant arriving before 7 AM, and that's where things got off to a frustrating start. They were checking every single bag at the entrance, including the players' bags. It felt excessive, especially for kids who had just woken up and were heading straight to the field. Not allowing players to bring something simple like a Gatorade or a granola bar didn't sit right. I understand limiting outside food for families with coolers, but taking basic items from players that early in the morning felt unnecessary. On top of that, admission was eight dollars per person (players didn't pay) which seemed a bit steep considering the condition of the facility. The park feels pretty rundown overall. There was talk about future upgrades to the fields, backboards, and general facilities, but it sounds like those promises have been floating around for a while, so it's hard to know if real improvements are actually happening anytime soon. That said, the boys did enjoy playing on the turf field. The concession stand was open and convenient, but the overall experience is held back by how dated everything feels and the strict, somewhat unreasonable entry policies.

The ladies taking the entry fee were super nice and they stamp your hand if you need to run to your car etc. The first time I came here it was chilly that night here in Vegas it was about 46 and I had to run back to the car because it was about 46 inside. My friend's husband is a pro wrestler with Adrenaline Unleashed and so hubby and I went to check out the action. $7 with a current flyer or $9 without. Not bad. They do have a snack bar because I saw it near the restrooms. Not sure, but people were carrying around nachos, popcorn, and sodas. I'm sure they were getting them there. I did notice there is an upstairs area that people were dancing and partying. I could see them through the windows that look out over the rink. From what we gathered is that there is an area upstairs to host parties. It looked like tonight they had a line dancing birthday party. :) The ring is setup on the left side of the roller rink and they had plenty of chairs setup on three sides of the ring. Props, ring, stage etc were setup by the organization and the chairs were the rinks supply. Take note that in the light chill of the Vegas winter and the heat of the Vegas summer...this huge rink is not climate controlled. They do have a HUGE warehouse ceiling fan and my friend said they use that during the summer sometimes.

They don't even try to make it look decent. There's broken crap everywhere, ranging from destroyed pieces of drywall, broken tables, chairs, insulation scattered about... it's a fucking mess. The reason I stopped by was to see a friend perform in a WWE-style pro wrestling match for the Adrenaline Unleashed group (http://www.adrenaline-unleashed.com/). The event itself was lots of fun, plus it was cheap -- only about $5 per person. It makes you appreciate the hard work, dedication, and precision of the performers in the WWE. No, really, I mean that. It looks dangerous and you'd never catch me doing that. I'd give the wrestling match good marks, but the venue... no way. The venue sucks.

Our team is currently #1 in our age group going into the playoffs next week, but it's not because…read moreof our skill. Let me show you why this league is trash: Rules This league doesn't play anything near what anyone would call football. There's only 1 endzone. No returning interceptions. Only 1 run per half. Only 1 blitz per half. 40-yard play area despite having an entire 100-yards to play on.15-yard first down, WTF? Refs Refs are inconsistent. Something that's allowed by one ref might not be allowed by another. I know the refs know the standard game, they're just unfamiliar with this league's stupid gameplay. Age vetting Birth dates aren't verified. My kids team has players who have already aged out of their age group. Our team is not the only one either, I suspect many of the teams have players that aren't eligible to play in their current age group. If you have a kid that's never played before and enjoys getting beat up by kids bigger than him, this league is PERFECT! They won't actually learn to play football, but you can tell all your friends and relatives on social media that your kid is a football player. If you have a kid that wants to learn the sport of football to prepare him to play high school football, find another league.

Anyone that can answer questions is rarely in the office, if at all. As of today (10/5/18), they have still not posted a schedule for our team yet they had no problem take the registration fee for EACH player. I have to get any kind of information about the possibility of a game from other parents or last minute from the coach. It's not about the money or the inability to make any plans in hope we get a last minute game but who does this to kids? Parents, please do your research! This is my sons first time playing on a team and he's really enjoys THE TEAM. The coach is AMAZING and has had a truly fundamental impact on my son's behavior, attitude and self-esteem in such a short period of time. I couldn't be more grateful to him but this review IS NOT about the coach.
