Came to red rock climbing with a friend. I've been very into bouldering. The facility is quite small and I would say probably half is rock climbing and the other half bouldering. I would say conditions are not optimal. For bouldering, the different routes are intertwined and so sometimes kind of confusing to see the path and also where it ends. I think they set it up this way so that the route can be complete half way for non advance climbers but also offer advance climbers the option to climb higher. The bottom footing holds where you start can be very spotty, feels like some have just fell off. Otherwise I felt that the v0-2 were more beginner and shortie friendly than at the refuge because I am 5'2 beginner and I couldn't really climb anything at the refuge whereas I could at red rock. The rock climbing was auto belays and it was a bit scary since it goes pretty quick down.

I love coming to this climbing gym! It's a great "one size fits all" since they offer both bouldering and trad/sport routes. The first floor offers both options (bouldering and trad) mixed in, so you don't have to abandon your friends if they want to do the opposite of you. The second and third floors are strictly bouldering--they also have a cool cave area and traverse set up! The fourth floor is mystery to me because I hate doing stairs...just kidding! There's a moon board and also equipment to warm up. Every Monday/Tuesday an older section is swapped up and updated as well. This keeps things fresh and interesting--you won't run out of routes or ways to challenge yourself! They offer rentals for cheap--or there's a gear store next door basically if you're ready to commit to your own shoes, harness, etc. They also offer a variety of lessons--ask the front desk to see a description of the classes if you're interested (or check out their website)! Monthly cost of my membership is super cheap and reasonable in my opinion--$55 or $60 (I forget) on auto-draft. A day pass is $17 and I come in 2-6 times a week, so it is definitely worth it!!! They also offer punch cards (10 visits I think) and some specials--Mondays are 1/2 off for ladies, and Fridays are free for members to bring a friend who has never been before. Lastly, the smaller floor area can be off putting for some folks. I think it's one of the best things about R2C2 though. The closer proximity to folks means you're having more interactions and meeting some great people! Definitely a great spot to blow off some steam, challenge yourself, get a workout on, or socialize with some cool folks!

I went to Vegas to explore some new rock climbing gyms. Red Rock Climbing Center was a planned stop. Price was reasonable, signing the waiver was expected, but I ended up parking on the street due to the limited spaces in the parking lot. Once inside there were numerous lead climbing routes and several bouldering areas. Unfortunately several of the bouldering areas had lead climbing routes above them. There were a couple of groups that included young kids that were constantly playing directly under people trying to climb the various routes. Shame on the parents for not watching and being aware of their kids. I would have liked to see the staff take a more proactive approach and at least reminded the parents of their responsibility to supervise their kids and keep them out from under other climbers. It's a climbing gym, not a playground. The 2nd floor was all bouldering and I spent more time up there. While relatively small there were several routes there that I could manage. Having multiple routes using the same holds identified by pieces of tape was a little confusing for me. I'm used to all of the holds being the same color as the start holds making visual identification easier, especially for foot holds looking down from above. The flip side is that RRCC has many more routes available in the same space due to the cross utilization of holds for multiple routes. Maybe I just caught the RRCC on a bad day with the kids running around, it was a Saturday and I generally try to climb on week days to avoid the crowds. I would come back the next time I am in Vegas.

First timer at this gym and it did not disappoint! I have my own shoes, so I only rented a harness, which was $5, and a day pass was $17. If you want to rent shoes, they are $5, or you can get a harness and shoes for $8. They have a huge main room with a large bouldering wall, I believe 6 auto belays, and a few regular belay ropes. I did a couple of the auto belays and they are varying difficulty levels. There is an upstairs area with varying levels of difficulty bouldering walls, and a training room that I wasn't able to get to while I was here this time. The gentleman who talked over everything with us was very helpful and very nice, and the equipment was all well maintained. The place was pretty busy, but it was 6:30 on a weekday so that's understandable. The vibe was super fun and everyone was super friendly and fun.

First time trying out a climbing gym in Vegas and it was a lot cheaper than compared to those in LA, as expected. The belay area looks pretty spacious and a lot taller than I was used to. The bouldering areas are mostly on the second and third floors with a bit on the first floor. The second and third floors are quite cramped so everyone kinda has to space out a bit between the floors for there to be room. The part I disliked the most was the way they identify the holds. They don't really use the color of the holds but rather tape next to them and one hold can be for multiple routes. I think I'm just not used to it and had to spend a lot of time on the wall trying to figure out which one I can use which wasted time and my limited finger/forearm strength :') I understand they are able to have more routes this way but it gets kinda frustrating sometimes. A solid climbing gym and would probably return when I'm back in the area but if there are bigger ones out there, I would prefer that.

As an avid rock climber, I'm always looking for new spots to climb especially when Red Rock gets rained on! The gym is in super close proximity to red Rock and includes showers in it's facilities. I'm glad I finally got to try this place out for the first time today. Michael helped me out and was great in representing the gym! As I've come to expect from the climbing community the vibe in the gym is super friendly and full of stoke! Plus the insane lead cave is the first room you walk into which sorta just adds to the stoke. The climbing: I didn't go on any ropes or autobelays today; strictly stuck to bouldering. As far as grading goes for boulders they seem to be fairly consistent with each other (atleast V1-V8) which is great to see. Maybe I'm just spoiled, but it's worth commenting that the routes are taped and the holds don't match color. Just food for thought! But I quickly got used to the change so no big deal. Also gonna comment that it may have some bad circulation in some places so it can get kinda musky. Not a big deal since climbers inhale chalk all day anyways. Anyways, The three floors of climbing behind the lead wall are pretty cool and at the top they actually have a moonboard next to the training area. Pretty sick! Overall I had a fun time climbing solo today, definitely will be back soon with a belay partner so I can work the roof!

Really great place both for beginners and experienced climbers. If you're into bouldering this is definitely your place. 3 floors of it. I hadn't rock climbed in years but took my guy for an early Valentine's Day activity and it was great. $25 per person for the whole day. You can even leave and come back if needed. There are currently 4 ropes out of 5 available. Came on a Saturday midday and it wasn't extremely crowded perfect enough to try all of the 4 ropes and checked out the second and third floor of bouldering. Very friendly and would come here again for sure. Perfect for kids.

Went to check out this place while I was staying in Vegas because I heard from a friend it was the place to go climb. When I showed up the staff was very friendly, but the place itself was very overwhelming and unorganized. There is 4 floors, although as you go up in floors they get significantly smaller so I wouldn't consider it 4 floors. The first floor is primarily top rope and lead climbing, however, they said you could boulder on the first floor. I didn't like the bouldering on the first floor because you are in the way of the lead climbers. On the second floor it's a tiny room that's all bouldering but the routes are set all over the place. The routes are hard to navigate through while climbing because there is just way to many routes and way to many pieces of tape. The way they set routes here is using a tape system where the color of the rocks/holds don't mean anything. You have to follow the route that the color of tape is. Each rock has 1 or multiple pieces of tap next to it to show you what route it's a part of. This method was very chaotic since I am used to climbing routes that all the rock/holds are the same color. Having to look all over for the pieces of tape made it very challenging to navigate what way the route finished. On the third floor there was also bouldering (not a lot) and top rope for the little kids. While climbing there we actually got kicked out since there was a little kid class apparently and they had the area reserved so we were told to leave and could come back in 30 min. On the 4th floor which I wouldn't even consider this a floor was a "gym". Very limited equipment (only a couple practice holds/hangs and weights), very limited space, and 1 bench. Also this room is extremely hard to find since the door they cover with routes so you can't see it. Also someone can open the door on you while you're climbing and they'd have no idea. The place had no drinking fountain from what I could find and the restrooms took me awhile to locate.

Is there bouldering at this gym?

Yes there is. The gym has four floors; the first has sport/lead, top rope, and bouldering. The second floor is purely bouldering, the third floor has bouldering and good rope, and the 4th floor has a training area and a moon board

As I entered i was not greeted, so just walked over to art table and grabbed a seat. Waited about 30-45 minutes (there were other patrons waiting as well) was unsure who worked there as everyone had an art apron on. Eventually someone appeared at the front desk, walked over to check in and order food and drinks. They have libations (beer, wine, cocktails), water and mocktails. The food menu was limited (chips with various dips salsa, guacamole, aioli, Bavarian pretzel with dip, and other small snacks). Tried the chips with salsa and guacamole as well as the Bavarian pretzel (two nice sized pretzels). Our drinks came out first. We had to have them remade as they included edible glitter which wasn't listed on the drink ingredients we initially ordered. The chips, dip and pretzel were plenty to share between 2-3 people easily. The art class instructions didn't begin until about 745P. Not exactly sure what was going on regarding starting so late. But. Nonetheless, During the down time there are ice breaker cards on each table. Once the class started it was over by 845P. Overall a great experience but efficiency and time management is lacking.

There wasn't a lot of people here the night we went so we had lots of table space. Our table was set up with our boards, gloves, sand paper & rags. Racheal was our instructor and she was AWESOME! Paula was working that night too & helping out. She got us our drinks & food and she was also great too! We had enough time to look over the menu & place our orders. I was exited to see that they just didn't serve beer & wine but had Truly's & a cocktail menu. I didn't see this on their website. I tired the glitter bomb even though they were out of cotton Candy & replaced it with something else which worked out. Later on I ended up ordering the pepperoni pizza which looked amazing & tasted amazing too! Was just right! Rachel explained the process prior to us starting. We were able to see other designs that were on the wall. You pick out a stain if you want to have some of the board stained which will show because you don't cover it up with your colors/glitter. Beware resin won't come out of your clothes or your hair. So bring something to put your hair up & be careful what you wear. You do get an apron to use but it doesn't cover up your clothes completely. I even brought some of my own glitter because I want sure if they had pink glitter but they have lots of colors to choose from. We had plenty of time to work on our project but once you stir your resin to get the bubbles you have 20 minutes to work with it. My friend brought her mother too & her birthday was a couple days after my friend's. Rachel was fun & had everyone sing happy birthday to them. :-) You need to leave your final project there for 24hrs so it can dry. My friend was suppose to pick mine up & give it to me next time I see her. I really liked the end product & can't wait to see it & use it for something. It's safe to serve food on it. I'd definitely come back for a future art project! This place so reminded me of school and art class. 5/5 stars! Thanks for the fun night Rachel & Paula! P.S. just a suggestion...you should have an air freshener & poop spray for the bathroom.
