I contacted Stutzman Brothers on a Friday afternoon to get a price for removing the ginourmous Laurel oak in my backyard which was dropping limbs weekly. I immediately had a good feeling about them because the person answering the phone was very organized, assured me that they carried worker's compensation (a must!), had two arborists in the company, and she said that even though they were about 4-6 weeks out for tree removal, they did make exceptions for emergencies. We arranged for an estimator to come out the following Monday. He showed when he said he would, and I had my quote within the hour. I decided to hire them because I was told they could start my project in a week. Also, of the four companies I received quotes from, they were the cheapest by almost $2K. Their team was OUTSTANDING taking down my tree. I actually had a camera hooked up to my back window, so I could watch them live from my computer at work. One of the major rules of tree take down is that you can't take the tree over a power line, and I watched time and time again as they carefully swung a newly removed tree limb around to avoid the power line and bring it down to the ground. They were awesome from start to finish, rolling my motorcycle out of danger's way, putting my fence back up perfectly, raking and sweeping all the tree debris up, cleaning grease stains off of my driveway, and just being all around polite, friendly and efficient. I have a large oak tree in front of my house and was worried that the next big hurricane would just knock it down or tear down some big branches and throw them into my roof. So after going through a couple quotes I eventually went with these guys. The man who came to give me the quote seemed very knowledgable about trees and the things I could do to prevent limbs from falling on my house or my neighbors house. Their service were a bit pricy but I do like the job they did. They thinned out my large oak and took out a bunch of big branches all around the tree. I was hoping to talk to some of the guys who came to work on my tree about what they were doing but non of the spoke any English. All in all i'm happy my tree is thinned out and trimmed all the while still looking as big and beautiful as it did before. read more

Purchased my home in 2018 and our 3 large oak trees really needed a fixer upper. We requested tree pruning through Yelp services. Stuzman got to me first and I requested an estimate for their tree pruning service. Leigh (former Marine) and certified arborist showed for my estimate. He had a wealth knowledge...it was like oak tree school for me! Who knew there was that much to know about trees? Cost for my 3 large oaks were $600 (with a military discount added for me as well - thanks Leigh). This was a lot cheaper than I was expecting. Only one hiccup was the tree crew only did one tree and I had to call them back when they left to complete the other two. After calling Leigh, the crew returned within a half hour to finish the job. I had a large tree near my home that was rotting at the base and a danger to my home if any large storm hit. Stutzman Brothers put me on their schedule for a couple weeks out, but then got an earlier opening and came right out to remove the tree within a week's time. They showed up on time, safely removed the tree, and even let me keep the shredded wood chips from it for my garden. With the hurricane that recently came through, I am extremely grateful, as I know that tree would've likely ended up on our home if it hadn't been quickly removed. We did research and then interviewed and obtained an estimate from 14 Tree Services over a period of 2 or 3 months. Stutzman Brothers was the by far the most professional. In terms of the initial inspections, providing the proper documentation, and then showing up to do the dangerous tree removal they performed perfectly. The entire company works like a well oiled machine and I would not use anyone else, even if there is a little wait to have your work performed. Stutzman had the second lowest prices of the companies that were correctly certified and properly insured. That slight extra cost seemed well worth the piece of mind. read more

What an amazing company represented by amazing employees! Leigh arrived in a timely manner and gave us the most thorough consultation of all four estimates. He really went above and beyond, climbing up trees and over fences, seeking out access pathways and providing objective and complete analysis of what needed to be done. The workers did an equally comprehensive and professional job. One large, hard to get to tree was removed and two other very large oaks were trimmed. The end product was a work of art. Jason, the lead crew member confirmed with me prior to leaving that all was to my expectation. I was so impressed, I tipped them very well. The clean up was impeccable. No damage whatsoever and they even managed to leave my bushes unharmed on both sides of the tree that was removed. I requested to keep some wood for my fire pit and they were able to place two large limbs near my fire pit in a space of 5' between two obstacles from a 40' height without damaging any pavers. Neither do they force payment immediately upon completion of the work. The due date is a couple of weeks out, which struck me as extremely admirable. I will not use any other company in the future. My last experience with a tree service was nowhere near this high level of service and professionalism. Many thanks to Leigh, Jason and his crew for a job that could not have been done better. The Stutzman crew arrived on time as scheduled for our property clean up and they did an outstanding job. Michael was a real artist with a chain saw and did an amazing job on our palm trees. They completed the entire clean up in record time. They have the equipment and know how to get the job done right. Their rates are very reasonable and their crew members are great as well. We didn't think they would be interested in our small project but they were and we were happy they gave us a quote.
