I traveled so far to sell to them and they even have a sign in the door that says if I sell to them 6/15 6/30 they will give me $5 but they refused to even look at my stuff because they want to organize their store. I think its poor business. read more

Came in here once before and felt entirely unwelcomed by stafff- guess I didn't have the right "look" for them to want my money. Hadn't been back in awhile- went back this week to try and give them another chance, but no. The staff is just rude, snobby, and unwelcoming. warning my wife brought in 3 vintage louis vuitton items to see what they would offer her for them. their offer was less than 10% if what they would sell them for ! you can do much better selling it on ebay or facebook online yard sale! just do a littke homework and make much more! this goes for any high end or couture item youre thinking of selling to any of these shops! read more

They always have fresh new merch and every time I go in I seem to find something! They keep the clothes well organized and labeled, and have a great variety for all style preferences. The staff are always helpful and attentive but will let you browse without being pushy for a sale. They have convenient hours and a good location with plenty of parking. I bring my own bag usually but they have them if you need them too. I thoroughly enjoy shopping here! read more

Rating is based on selling not buying. Same experience here as another reviewer, actually it was my mom, clothes rejected based on style. However these are Chico's clothes; which I would have thought fit the demographic they are attempting to appeal to. Also all in very good condition and on hangers as my mom understands the difference between what is worthy of resale vs. donation. Obviously they are within their rights to take only what they feel is going to make them a profit, but I'm curious to know how the shop is doing on the flip side. Hopefully some positive buying reviews show up here. read more

I have had good experiences at this store and the young manager is very nice and professional. They don't have enough help and open snd close at odd times. They don't communicate updates in their schedule on social media and if you call, phone just rings. It is hard to know when they will be open and accepting buys and what items they are currently looking for. read more

I don't normally criticize businesses and respect the time and effort required to run one. However, never in my life have I ever felt as ignored or treated as unfairly as I have been treated here. The blonde business owner is a class a b*&!h!! I'm so sorry saying it, but she is just totally disrespectful and downright rude. The store itself has a decently sized collection of clothing. Has larger dressing rooms which is a plus. Finding decent clothes there is a hit or miss. If you're selling, good luck getting a measly $5. Meanwhile their clothes they are selling seem a tad bit overpriced. In all, as much as I do love the concept of these stores, I absolutely refuse to give this business owner any of my business/time/money. No one should be treated like that... read more

I am not sure why so many negative reviews! I love this store! I have found the staff to be very kind and friendly and willing to help if needed. Sure they are a bit overwhelmed at times being they are constantly buying goods and helping other customers. Buying prices are super reasonable! They even do live events on social media if you are not from the area (although I think these could be a bit better run). I brought in an authentic Gucci purse a little over a month ago and they were able to very quickly authenticate it and make me a VERY good cash offer. A certain other consignment store in the area who apparently also likes designer goods, was not. For non designer items, you won't get too much money, but it is better than trying to sell on your own and good if you are just looking to clean out your closet for cash! I was visiting a friend and we decided to stop in to see what they had before it was gone. When we got there the people there I believe had the Christmas spirit with all their smiles, they couldn't have been more helpful. I didn't have to ask where anything was, they showed us around so it made it easy to find our size, they also found some other idem's to go with our purchase, and I think each one of us spent over 100.00 dollars. Great experience selling my clothes and buying some winter things. After explaining the process to me, it took about 15 minutes for the staff to look through my things. While they were checking though my stuff, I found a couple of items that were in great condition and were really reasonably priced. When I went back to the counter I got an explanation about the items they couldn't buy from me (not in style any longer). I was able to make a trade for the things they wanted to buy and the things I wanted to buy and still got some cash! read more

Terrible customer service. I was over charged for 4 items which should have been discounted 15% and came back three times to have it resolved. Finally on my last visit I was told too much time had passed, however when I came during the week timeframe for returns they weren't able to do it and tOld me I had to come back. Employees are so rude and unprofessional. Was in there today and witnessed the most obnoxious employee respond with an attitude to every question asked by a customer and a fellow employee. Just as I was at the register she hung up on who I can only assume was the store owner and proceed to make rude remarks about said owner in front of the customer she was helping. Classy. read more

I find it funny how the owner responds to reviewers who complain about her staff but in now way addresses how customers react to her. The owner, the skinny blonde woman is a totally rude &@?!$. When my wife was in the store, the owner totally blew her off when she inquired about an item. Then was quick to snap at my wife when she made a comment about coming back at another time to purchase a high priced item saying, " It won't be here when you come back". I wanted to buy the item as a surprise for my wife's birthday but will not be going back to that store. I called about the said high priced item because the owner had said they would be having a sale on it that weekend and when I asked if it was still available the owner Julie just laughed at me. Julie is totally unprofessional and rude and gives the chain a bad name not to mention their prices are much higher than other Style Encore stores. I don't know who she thinks she is and why she acts like she is better than her customers but I will definitely be calling the Style Encore corporate office to personally complain about her and her treatment of customers! read more

Very small store with limited stock. Blond w long straight hair said they only have so much room and they can not store anything you bring in for them to sort through so prepare to wait and sometimes for a while. Prices were higher than competing resale boutiques whom I personally found to have much better current fashions. Also make sure you call before you go they are not always open on time and they close early with no warning. What a shame. So badly wanted to like this place. read more

This review is based on the selling. I decided to take a few of my nicer items over there and see what they would give me. I sometimes have anxiety and I guess it showed through because I was treated poorly right off the bat. The owner told me she would hold my hand during the process if I needed it, and that was NOT said kindly. I had three items, they turned all 3 down. I questioned why and she said they were old and out of style. I found that to be odd since all I had purchased within the last 12 months from the stores Nordstrom, Boden and Banana Republic. While I looked around the store most of the clothes seemed to be from Target, Old Navy, Gap and similar stores. I actually saw multiple items that I gave to the Goodwill in their inventory. I wouldn't have thought that anyone would pay much for them so I donated them. Anyway, since my one item from Nordstrom which was $149 when I bought it was not a highly known designer they offered to give me $5, this was after I questioned why they wouldn't want it. The dress was actually featured on multiple fashion blogs and sold out online. I was only getting rid of it because the off shoulder look did not compliment my posture. I've seen the dress go on Ebay for $60 so I decided to keep it and sell it on there. I honestly felt really hurt leaving that store. Perhaps I don't have the personality for selling clothes to second-hand stores but I do hope that if I owned a store like that I could treat people with kindness and be helpful instead of insulting. I was deeply hurt that I was insulted for being nervous about going into there. Plenty of people deal with anxiety and it can strike at odd times, where they wouldn't normally but nervous. I hope the owner realizes that when you comment on that, some people feel those comments deeply and will continue to feel them over the next couple days or weeks. read more

So, people come in here with plastic bags and Rubbermaid containers full of junk that takes forever to sort through. Be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes for them to get to you. I had 7 items, all laundered and ironed. Eddie Bauer, Prana, Outdoor Research, and J Crew. All worn only once or twice. They kept 3 of the 7 items, rejecting the others due to "style". I'm not sure what age or economic group they are targeting, but probably not 40-60 yr old women who are active, fit, and don't want to dress like a teenager or an 80 yr old. read more

My experience with Style Encore has been very positive, as with any consignment shop, it is important to present your items in the best possible way- make sure your items are clean, and as current as possible . As a long time consigner, I can tell you no one wants a tub or supermarket bag of wrinkled stuff, take time to press or steam your items and make them look their best . This location of Style Encore has current up to date designer fashions at a very competitive price. For consigners, the price paid is generally fair and more generous than their competitors. read more

The lowball amounts offered for high end, gently used quality items is evident in the fact that store is stocked with Old Navy, Target and I even spotted two items from Walmart in there. As I stood awaiting my "offers" I had exactly two sweaters in my hand adjacent to the register that had holes in them-one of these sweaters also had a spot. The purses on the wall looked like what my mom carried in 1980 and used every year in between. Each time I am in there getting insulted by the the "owner/manager" who lacks not only current fashion knowledge but the panache in the art of rejection. There is chaos at the front area with the training of new workers evident as I listened to her tell the new person what to say and not to say to people and why. Perhaps away from customers is best for these types of conversations? I see frustrated people in there each visit - Its time to return to Ebay and the Real Real I guess! read more
