I pushed it aside thinking well maybe it was just a mistake and she didn't really own it, she was kinda rude like well you Dont know what I was going through? Anyway, I tried rescheduling thinking ok I set an expectation and a boundary only to never get a reply and then get blocked on her social media. Maureen helped me pick out two fabulous outfits, a fun background for my shoot, and some really great poses. The photographer I had (Rob) has a great eye and my photos turned out better than I could have ever thought. For my second shoot, I went outside the pin-up box and did a Day of the Dead themed shoot. ChaCha helped me with some great ideas to bring with me to the shoot. I did my own makeup, and Maureen and Merari did my hair. When I walked into the room and saw the set, I couldn't believe the incredible setup the Dirty Mistress staff had put together for my shoot! I once again had Rob as my photographer and the pictures again came out better than I could have imagined! After living in the Miami area for 5 months, I decided to check out Steven Michael's because of the high ratings and close location to home. Their hours are also awesome as many salons in the area are closed on Sunday. I was able to make an appointment for a cut and balayage between Christmas and New Years without a problem (and I only called about a week in advance). When I called I was connected to Elizabeth, who is a balayage goddess. It was great for talk on the phone about what I was looking for since I was pretty much jumping into the deep end without an in person consultation prior to the cut and color. When I arrived to the salon for my appointment, I was seated right away and Elizabeth got to work. I showed her some pictures and it was clear she knew exactly what I was looking for. I was in and out in about 2 hours, which was awesome (I had previously gone to a salon where this process would take 3 hours even with my short, fine hair). I put my trust in Elizabeth, and I was not disappointed! I went from a dark brunette color to a honey/caramel color in no time. I'm so excited to return!
