If I could give a salon 0 stars I would. I had the worst salon experience EVER and hate how my hair came out. I had originally booked another salon but turns out it was for the upcoming week and needed my hair done asap so I called Europa and they said they can take a walk in for what I wanted which was a color remove and maybe highlights and possibly a keratin treatment. I originally had color treated hair with a dark dye and wanted it out or at least a lot more faded with possibly blonde highlights and previously had a keratin treatment and needed a new one. At first, it was pretty welcoming inside with food and was offered champagne etc. and then I was sat down on a couch for what seemed like forever which was surprising because they said they would be able to take me right away. After I waited, they sat me down and examined my hair and I told them what I wanted and the owner, Bifen told me I can't do color remover for some reason and said she was just going to do highlights over and the keratin. This should have been my sign to run but I decided to trust her and see what happens. She started to put foils over my previously box dyed hair very aggressive and fast and I felt as if she didn't really care about how my hair was going to turn out. Then I was left as it developed and as she was talking to another client about the terrible parking by the building I think she forgot about my hair and was shocked to see how my hair looked under the foils. I was scared but i couldn't see the color really yet because it wasn't blow dried and washed so I decided to still trust the process. Once it got washed and I got brought over to get my keratin treatment done, a different guy stylist was doing this part. He began blow drying and I realized that this "keratin treatment" didn't smell like how it did when I got my last one done and was really confused but thought maybe it was a different kind or something. When I saw what my hair looked like blow dried and finished I wanted to cry. It didn't have the ombré highlight look I wanted, or the brunette at top, it was literally ginger mixed with other hughes. It was so insanely ugly and not what I wanted at all. I am not a confrontational person AT ALL and so I didn't know what to say or do. I just wanted to get out of there so bad. I go to pay reluctantly and they originally had told me it was going to be around 500$ for everything which was above my budget but I was desperate. They changed it to 750$ when I was asked to pay which was literally insane i got nothing I asked for. They also had done a Brazilian blowout on my hair instead of the keratin without telling me which has completely fried my hair along with the bleach job she did to this day four months later. I have to gloss my hair over with a brunette color every few weeks because I can't get rid of the ugly orange color she did on me until it grows out and my hair is so incredibly damaged anywhere she bleached my hair. I am so disappointed with the whole establishment so I am writing this so no one else makes the mistake of going here. SAVE YOUR MONEY!! There are so many better places to go. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at this salon. I clearly explained what I wanted, but the final result looked nothing like what I asked for. My hair ended up uneven, and it's obvious that it wasn't done with care or attention to detail.On top of that, the prices are high, which makes the whole experience even more frustrating. For what I paid, I expected much better service. What made it worse was how the situation was handled. When I pointed out the issue, all I got was a sorry with no real effort to fix the problem or make things right. I was staying near this salon for 4 weeks in Jan/Feb. I happened upon this salon and am so glad I did! My daughter and I went a few times for different services. I can't say enough good things about the salon, the level of the work they do and how at home they make you feel. They even enthusiastically welcomed my rather large dog for a visit! They go above and beyond. One evening I walked in without an appointment. I explained that I had an unexpected crisis and needed a quick hair wash/blow dry to enable me to quickly head out. They whisked me in and two stylists worked in tandem to get me out as quickly as possible. They are all wonderful, warm, great at what they do. I got my hair and makeup done before a gala event and Bifen, the salon owner, did an incredible job! She was very thorough and efficient at the same time which I appreciated -- my entire appointment took about an hour. The salon itself has a nice atmosphere and the location is super convenient right near Miracle Mile. In the past, I haven't been super happy when I've gotten my makeup done elsewhere because it feels heavy and looks unnatural. Bifen is so talented with her makeup application -- it looked elegant and natural, and it felt great the whole night too! My hair also turned out great and stayed up during plenty of dancing! I just realized this salon's previous reviews are under "Beauty Buzz," I'm assuming due to their change in location. For the record, I've never had any services done at Beauty Buzz which is now located where Europa USED to be at 3117 Coral Way, Coral Gables, FL 33145. Anyway, my current review is for Europa Hair Studio now located within the apartment building located at 3530 Coral Way, Suite R-1, Miami, FL 33145. For starters, last I heard these folks didn't even have a manicurist which totally sucks when you're trying to kill two birds with one stone, and the parking situation at the new location is a b*tch. Secondly, I'm in utter disbelief with regard to the way this place changed from my first impression of it several months ago. A few weeks ago, I was getting a mani/pedi done there and my boyfriend dropped by with my dog to give me something. The owner didn't even bother to open the door to politely tell him there were no dogs allowed. Instead, he didn't even allow him to come within feet of the door and rudely gestured that the dog wasn't allowed. I must clarify a couple of things here, first the "dog" is a tiny Shih Tzu and second she was being carried. She wasn't even on the floor! Now, I understand there are all sorts of health codes about animals being in certain places. But, at the very least have the decency to address people (clients no less) with some modicum of respect. OK, so that was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Before that I'd noticed several other little things that irked me. Like the way they treated the manicurist's clients differently from their own "hair" clients. I think it's ridiculous. We're all spending $ at your place of business. For example, I get weekly manicures and biweekly pedicures, so I was there a lot and not ONCE did the owner even offer me a glass of water. Not to mention the coffee, pastries and sometimes mimosas served to THEIR clients right in front of me. I could care less about the actual beverage, I don't even like champagne, but what I find extremely rude is that they never even asked. At this point you may be wondering why I wasn't one of "their" clients, or why I chose not to get my hair done there. The reason is simple, they suck. I'm a fairly observant person and can tell a good hair stylist from a mile away. From my first visit there I knew from my observations that I'd never give them a try. My mother on the other hand is easily swayed and never EVER listens to a word I say, so one day she got suckered into getting her hair colored and highlighted by one of the owners. She told the stylist she wanted a "change." A few hours and a few hundred dollars later she walked out looking exactly the same way as she did when she came in. This wasn't my observation, but hers. Needless to say she was very upset and swore "never again." I enjoyed getting to say "I told you so." In sum, now that my excellent manicurist is no longer working for them, I will never again step into this place and think you shouldn't either. Save your money & save your hair!!! read more

This has been by far the worse haircut in my life. I have to say this happened a month ago and I am still suffering the consequences (yes, that bad, beware). I could tell from the second the lady started she had no clue of what she was doing by her clumsiness and brusqueness. No pre-washing of the hair or even wetting. I showed her detailed pictures of my previous haircut at another salon (I moved recently to Miami), and she grabbed the clipper machine and in the first stroke the damage had been done. He does beards as well as hair styling and whilst waiting one can get a soothing pedicure. Harry never tries to sell the stuff stylists are always pushing; he is just very talented and very cordial. Where to begin. I ended up here after my BFF recommended it for my Kerstin treatment. I called and made an appointment 3 weeks in advance. When I made the appointment I asked for the price and was told it was $150 for the keratin. I asked my friend and she stated that was more or less what they charged her. So I go in for my keratin treatment expecting to pay more or less $150. After my treatment was completed I was told my fee was $300. That is double the price I was told over the phone. When I questioned it the lady in the front answered she had to speak with the owner who not once came and spoke to my face. Then they told me keratin was $150, but they had actually performed a Brazilian blowout (which I didn't even know what it was). This is the reason they continued stating I must pay $300. Nowhere there is a price menu. How come I make an appointment for Keratin and I am told $150, but at the end I am supposed to pay $300 because they did a Brazilian blowout. Not once the owner came and spoke to me. I was given no choice but to pay. I should have know by the reviews since it appears they are known for doing this. I don't have a complaint about my hair dresser. But I do believe this salon prices the services based on how you look, what car you drive (which they know because they have to open the parking lot gate), what kind of purse you take, anything, etc. In the end I am $300 less for what they tried to sold me at the end as the best thing ever. My hair lost all its volume, shape or movement. For the first time in my life I have a dandruff situation. I am losing a lot of hair. Concerned enough to make an appointment with a dermatologist. My hair appointment was canceled last minute and i had a flight the next morning i went on google looking for a hair salon that would accept walk in last minute and found this salon . I asked bifen how much it would be for highlights and then she twisted and turn the whole story saying she would charge me about $415 and i told her my budget was $300 then she said without blow dry the cheapest she can do for me was $350 for a mix balayage with toner and i dont know what else. I accepted the price and i wanted to trust her work. As a professional hair salon your supposed to do your job right and not ask your customers to pass tin foil paper when you can do it yourself. She did my hair in such a rush and destroyed my hair. She literally gave me a complete different color of what i asked for. The whole time I thought my hair had a caramel color and it literally has different shades of white, blonde and light brown. I feel like this should be a two part review. On one side is Alfredo, the stylist who did my hair and deserves a 5 star rating!!! He is incredible, creative and has so much experience with color and the latest hair cuts. I've known him for many years and he is FANTASTIC! that's why I keep following him whatever he goes. This time I got some highlights, base color, cut and blow dry and it looks AMAZING! So now to the second part and disappointing part of the story. I had been at Europa salon before just for a hair cut, but since it was my first time doing color I asked Alfredo for the price before I decided what I wanted done. So imagine my surprise when I get the bill and it's a higher number than what they had initially quoted me. When I inquire about the increased price this Asian lady comes to the front desk, which I later realize is the owner, to explain to me that Alfredo had made a mistake adding the services and that I have to pay the new price. So I looked at the desk and I see my bill. I added it real quick and the bill is added correctly only she is still charging me $30 more than the total on the bill. So I asked if that's my bill and she says NO, even when my name was at the top of the note. So I explained to her again that she is charging me more than what they told me and she grabs the calculator and starts to add a bunch of numbers that are in her head but not on any bill and at the end she says that she is already applying a $5 discount "special price". WHAT!!! So on top of feeling completely taken advantage of I'm supposed to feel grateful for the $5 discount??? The behavior from this lady, the owner, was so wrong on so many levels. How can you conduct business like that?? If she thinks she won because she got $30 extra from me she is seriously mistaken. At the end of the day, I have paid much more for my hair than what I ended up paying here even with the "fake" new increased price she gave me. But it's the principle that I have an issue with. I still have to do my roots once a month and get a hair cut, and highlights at least twice a year, and that amounts to thousands of dollars a year that I will take to another establishment. Alfredo did a fantastic job with my hair. I have looked all around for a great salon and this one got the color I really wanted. With that being said, he teased my hair to do a balayage and then I spent an hour at the bowl with tons of products being out in my hair and and then another half hour getting my hair brushed out because he made such a mess of it. Online their price says $145 for the balayage and it ended up being $350. Not worth it for the literal headache they give you. read more

Bottom line if you have curly hair dont bother they cant do it lol Everyone was very very nice and they took us as basically walkins (we called first). I came with my friend who wanted a totally different style and has very different hair then me so Ill talk about both our experiences. I have a whole hell of alot of thick, natural, curly, black hair. I came in to support my friend so just asked for a lite trim. The shampoo was PHENOMENAL. This is one of the things they are good at. They talkes and talked about how thick and amazing my hair was but they struggled. They dried it out too much before combing out lol the trim was ok. I got what I asked for but thats literally it. I usually get a wet trim, some moisturizer/light gel and sit under a dryer to set the curls. She looked at me confused and they didnt have a dryer so i walked out with a decently trimmed, dry gigantic afro i knew better but they didnt ruin my hair and i got what i expected and it was 35$ which is fine especially for how thick my hair is. My friend: has very thin, long, black hair. They decided on a deep but bright red for whole head highlights. Well, my friend wanted bright red the stylist kept trying to convince her to go with a boring brownish color? She ended up putting alot of highlights to make more money she has very thin hair. So it came out looking like completely red on top and highlights on the bottom. I think this will look better as it grows out a little. So this is their way of upcharging but they did a pretty good job with her hair. Hers was 200$. Obviously Ill never go back lol. I rarely write bad reviews for disappointing experiences but Europa is too unprofessional to ignore and unsuspecting clients should be warned. I attempted to redeem a groupon for a hair service at Europa on a Thursday ( they only redeem groupons Monday-Thursday) and when I arrived at the salon, after going on a mission to park, I was told they had me down for a nail service. Why they had me scheduled for a mani/pedi I could not tell you- Since I scheduled the HAIR appointment several days in advance and called the day before to confirm it. The manager was rude, dismissive and provided some of the poorest customer service I have ever received in a salon. Although she stated that she was the person scheduling appointments that day she did not take accountability for the mistake and tried to blame it on another employee. Regardless, sometimes mistakes happen, and in those scenarios it is customary for a business to try to accommodate a customer as best they can and to go out of their way to retain that customer'a business. Well not at Europa- which apparently goes days without even having a stylist on staff. In the end I got the "it's not my problem" attitude. Not to mention when I asked what she recommended I do (mind you I had an event the next day and needed my hair did) I was told to call groupon. Seriously??? Don't waste your time or money! They are false and misleading with their advertising. I made a $45 Groupon purchase for my wife, which they advertised is a (retail value of $145). For a haircut, deep conditioning and blow dry. They boast about their stylist, but when we called to make the appointment, we were told you can't book with any of them, only with their junior stylist, and the haircut was limited, no new style. If you're in need of business, hoping to gain new clients through offers such as Groupon, you should honor your specials, be up-front and honest with your advertising. But most of all, be friendly and accommodating, not arrogant and rude. Your goal should be to attract new potential long term clients, which my wife was eager to find a new place.
