But when running a store and your small dog charges the door barking, its not professional nor welcoming. This would be an issue with anyone afraid of dogs as well, regardless of size. There is an adage in the retail business that a satisfied customer tells three friends, and a dissatisfied customer even tells strangers in the street. This store will not survive. I liked quite a few of the handbags, clothing and shoes that Jolie had in her boutique. I enjoy finding luxury items and have a fairly nice (in my opinion, anyhow) collection of designer handbags and clothing etc. My fiancé struck up a conversation separately with the owner as I was browsing and my grandsons wife tried on a few dresses that I was giving her my opinion on... I myself only purchased a vintage bucket hat, although there were several gowns and dresses I liked. The problem was not with "liking " items in the store. The problem (that became a complete NIGHTMARE) was after I agreed to send 24 pieces of my personal collection to Jolie for consignment!!! I sent Jolie TWO Chanel bags , along with Carolina Herrera, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Zimmerman, YSL, Christian Louboutins, ASL, Thierry Mugler, Oscar De La Renta, Valentino...- this all took place just a little over a month ago, November 2023. I visited the store on October 20th, something I deeply regret. So many things went wrong from the moment the owner, Jolie, received my items (which retailed at easily $40,000 plus dollars). All of my belongings were in excellent condition and extremely desirable. I am still so exhausted from what transpired over the following month, I have difficulty writing this review but truly feel obligated to do so to help educate potential consignors the huge risks they may be taking in trusting their personal items with this business. I feel I would be remiss NOT to warn sellers- especially if they are out of town or in my case, out of State! The owner took over TWO WEEKS to send me an itemized inventory list after receiving the large box of my designer handbags, clothing and shoes. She also lied to me telling me that there were things "missing", even suggesting that the box arrived ripped and damaged-accusing me at a later time of not sending my items in a strong enough box, that was not taped properly!- Only AFTER I sent her a picture that SHE had sent me herself and low and behold- there are the "missing " designer shoes, did she concede that yes, they were there! No apology, no whoops, just okay. I had SO MANY "red flags " right away and on top of which, she NEVER called me, she took over 2 weeks to correspond and then she started sending me aggressive texts and emails! She went so far as to call me names and otherwise attack my character! I asked for her to "pull my belongings " from her store inventory- ( she had NOT SOLD ONE ITEM) and she basically sent me a series of unprofessional messages and refused to take my belongings off of her floor. I have screenshots of her STILL TRYING TO SELL MY ITEMS on her Facebook store! This took place two entire weeks after she sent me an email-dated November 17,2023 stating that she "personally " would go into her store "next week "- this happened on a Friday to pull my inventory. SHE DID NOT. It took for me to pay her $25 per item , totaling $600, calling the Mt. Pleasant Police Department 5 times, filling a Police Report, and then having a Police Officer at her boutique to preserve the peace while my Grandson and his wife took their Saturday off to drive 35 minutes one way to retrieve my belongings! Needless to say, all of this caused me GREAT stress, anxiety and mental anguish. Not to mention, coming OUT OF POCKET $1000 dollars and ZERO Sales by Jolie or her Employees. Lastly, my Grandson who is a Military Police Officer, and his wife were called "idiots" and treated very disrespectfully, when all they were there to do was protect their grandmother. I will end this review by stating that I am not a mean or vindictive person. I truly don't trust this business AT ALL. I don't doubt if you're a BUYER, no problem. But consignors?! Beware!!! I feel I was completely taken advantage of simply because I was out of State! This treatment was shocking and shameful, especially after I entrusted this person. Never again! I wish there was a ZERO STAR RATING!!!
