So that is why I have just dragged my weary legs off to Hampton Court Sandwich and Coffee Company, and inhaled a piping hot parma ham and mozzarella panini which was the culinary equivalent of a defibrillator bringing me back to life. I like coming here because the paninis are marginally cheaper than the other sandwich shops. I also occasionally treat myself to the brownies here - large gooey, sticky slices of dense dark chocolate heaven. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and like the other coffee shops in this road, this is a stones throw from Hampton Court palace, so a perfect place to recharge your batteries.

The staff greeting us quickly and the toasted sandwiches here were awesome! Generally, I don't see much difference between a toasted sandwich at a deli and one I can make myself with my generic ex-boxer-branded grilling machine. Maybe it was the panini, maybe it was the feel of the deli with its wooden floors and health and rural vibe. Maybe it was the healthy fruit smoothie made on sight. Whatever it was, I ended up really enjoying my experience here and will be back if ever passing through again. Aside from the food we had, this establishment also has a very organic looking deli for fruit and veg which has a feel of an authentic farmers market. We didn't purchase anything as I wasn't in the market for vegetables at the time but it is a neat extra feature that will attract customers.

When we arrived at the station, we weren't that clear which direction we were supposed to walk, but we were clear that we needed something to nosh before facing all that flora at the gardens. The Tyrollean-looking A-frame looked inviting, especially when we walked in and saw all the pre-made sandwiches and baked goods in the display case (photo: https://bit.ly/3xwtImL). It was a tiny spot with all the seating outside. Jamie W. and I shared a £2.50 Croissant (photo: https://bit.ly/3B8qg2H) and a toasted £4.50 Turkey & Cheese sandwich on a crusty baguette (photo: https://bit.ly/3L61qVT). To wash them down, we ordered piping hot £3 Flat Whites (photo: https://bit.ly/3Dk7A2W). Funny thing was that we were on the opposite side of the station, so we crossed over and discovered a whole area of cafes and shops which we could've perused before heading to Kew. But no matter as Caffe Torelli hit the spot. Recently when I was at Heathrow, I found it's outlet on terminal 4. It had great variety for vegetarian and vegan options in both cold and hot sections. I had their hot falafal sandwich and egg white omelet. They both were really good. The wrap of the sandwich was multigrain and the chipotle sauce enhanced it's taste. For dessert I, tried their chocolate mousse which I usually don't find in their other outlets. It was amazing! There were lot of seating areas out this store.

Coffee was good and hot,, the croissants were flaky and delicately crunchy on the outside,, chewy and amazing on the inside. Probably my most favorite snack. Anyways,, the place is great,, nice and tidy. The cashiers are very friendly and nice. Plus the service is impeccable. Thank you so much for kicking butt Pret. I love you.
