Unbeknownst to me on August 9th my friend sent a text around noon inviting me to his 100 year family farm in Nashville. Fast forward to September 16th when I get a second message from "the cod squad" asking if Friday or Saturday works better for the group. I'm confused as it seems there's been dialogue about this plan that's not in the forefront of my already overworked weekend plans. I end up compromising with the group and say that I am willing to head out for a Nashville country night filled with bon fires, four wheelers and what my general practitioner would say is an unsafe amount of bourbon. Nonetheless. My McDonald's experience begins when I exit the highway. I'm feeling charitable. I'm thinking the Golden Arched bag would rally the troops. So I pull over. Not for me. But for us. The drive through experience was textbook. A bizarre pre recorded something about using the rewards app in one voice and then a vastly different, but charming voice greeting me. I'm not rushed and end up landing on an order that's a little something for everyone. Two McDoubles, two mcchickens and a 20 piece McNugget. Everything appeared routine as I drove off. Sipping my dr. Pepper, windows down , Spotify playlist blasting hits. I arrive. My plan seems like it's succeeding. I offer food to my electronic gaming comrades. THEN PANIC as I realize that 20 counts of criminal negligence had just occurred. My McNuggets weren't there. Now we could get into all of the hurt. And hunger. And pain that this caused. But this Nashville IL McDonalds is simply built differently. When I called the following day the young woman on the phone was very apologetic and immediately offered to replace the McNuggets if I was willing to drive 40 minutes back to Nashville. Which I was happy to do. Now this is where I need to take some accountability. It's been 7 days since this generous offer was given and I haven't driven back. So today I called back and struck a deal with a different and lovely seemingly young woman who answered my call. We agreed that Uncle Danny could bless the next customer who orders a 20 piece McNugget in leu of driving 40 minutes This establishment turned a primal panic attack and shock to my nerves into a gracious and wholesome growing experience where I now trust that when bad things happen I can at least count on one thing in this life. And that's the staff at the Nashville McDonalds to navigate the situation correctly. 5 stars If you're in the Saint Louis area I would highly recommend you drive the extra 40 minutes for the customer service. Tell them: "Uncle Danny sent ya" :)

I was quite surprised by Hardee's! Well the service was great which is usually something most fast food don't have. The person at the register was polite and very nice. I will say that this must be due to the fact that I am in a smaller town. I had the chicken tenders because what can I say..you can't go wrong with chicken. There are different things you can get on the menu. They serve anything from burgers, chicken sandwiches/tenders to Mexican type of foods like burritos and tacos.
