Anyone who has ever been to the area already knows dairy king is amazing but I thought I'd write a review anyway. If you are looking for a solid Burger this is a great choice but they have so much more. Wraps, sandwiches, ice cream.... It just goes on. Now don't expect to breeze through like your normal fast food. They are too popular for that Do expect friendly employees and prompt service with hot amazing food. My wife loves the ice cream here, she can't eat the stuff from Dairy Queen, so we were happy to find that Dairy King ice cream must not have the same ingredients. Always had my food orders quick and accurate, any times that were incorrect they had no issues correcting them. Seriously screw this place. Waited in line outside for 15 minutes and when it was my turn I was told I needed to go inside because they were "done" serving customers at 2 pm. It was 1:45 so I said it's not 2 yet and she said well I was told by my boss to close after this person. a terrible attitude by a snotty little kid. Excuses excuses. Horrible customer service! I absolutely love this place! They have a very large diverse menu and friendly staff! They also have 2 drive thrus which make for nice speedy service. The concretes are delicious! Pretty much all of the food on their menu is great! It's mostly fried food items but they do have some healthy menu options. Oh and they have ski soda which is awesome! The grilled chicken pita with ranch is yuuum!!! When ordering a soda I would recommend asking for light ice ... they can go a little heavy on the ice sometimes. I'm not sure why this place only has 17 reviews when it is always always busy any and every time I have ever visited. I would have to say it is def a Clinton county fav. My whole family loves the burgers. You can't go wrong with them. My husband loves the philly nachos and I love the Gyro. The only thing I would change is the Fries. I would love for them to be fresh cut. There is nothing better than fresh cut fries. Any business can win my heart with fresh cut fries. I'm also a fan of their tea! The food is great, the sodas are wonderful, and the space is perfect for large groups. I will forever be a patron of their addicting fountain sodas, ice cream, and burgers.....but if you're not a kid person, it might not be your thing. Dairy King is THE place in CC for all teenage gatherings and it has been that way my whole life. I'm so glad we have a large fast food service around to employ a majority of Clinton County teens, but you can't go up there without finding a swarm of teenagers paying a visit to their working friends, or a team of athletes in their post-game sweat. Overall food quality, service, and atmosphere is good...but its smaller neighbor, Wally's is just across the street and definitely has the win in all three categories. read more

I love Wallys...I love Dairy King--- well... I love Dairy King after Wallys was too busy last weeknd, and we came to Dairy King instead--- Dont be caught off guard by the swarm of teenagers in the building-- (ugh, that makes me feel so old)--- The business is still ran okay. Their burgers are on par with Wallys (betcha didnt know that didya?) But Wallys will always be Wallys---! and they have a bigger variety of different foods- just dont expect crinkle cut fries! hahaha... darling honey prefers them.. (thats what Wallys is)--- but whatever.. The onion rings were really good too-- the onion didnt pull out when I bit into them and thats important yo! Though you're not going to get a better burger then Wallys across the street, this place definitely deserves a visit if not for the flavored frozen ski alone. For a buck-20 there isn't much better on a hot day than frozen 'Clinton County coffee' in strawberry flavor. I used to love eating here and I will never return. I drove 40 minutes with my family to get food for 3 of us. Spent $37 on our food and did not receive it all. Waited at the window for the workers to return and the little girl, who didn't even seem old enough to be working at all, proceeded to argue with me and tell me they didn't miss anything. After a few minutes of repeatedly telling her my child's food was not in the bag she rudely got me only the popcorn chicken and not the fries that were missing. I am pregnant and could not handle arguing anymore so I just gave my child my fries. Very rude awful customer service. I hope a measly little skimpy sack of fries was worth losing an entire family of five, soon to be six, as customers forever. read more

It is scientific law that born citizens of Breese inevitably work at DK, and we love it! Real food aside, DK is really only good for their ice cream, cold desserts assortment in addition to custom sodas. Burgers are pretty average and nothing special, Wally's across the street has better, classic Southern Illinois burgers. If you're close to Trenton, check out the second DK location there. First time here. Stood at the counter as three people looked up and did not acknowledge me. One kid even came up to the counter and avoided eye contact. As I finally got served I ordered the prime rib sandwich with Swiss cheese. When I got my order it had no cheese. I took it back up to the counter and asked for cheese and there was no apology for the missing cheese. I just got a blank stare and my sandwich taken away. I received my sandwich was still no apology and a conversation between the employee and someone else carried on as I was invisible. The prime rib was so overcooked it was almost black. This is a great little hamburger plus joint....milk shakes are to die for....friendly service! All their food is made to order, so sometimes there is a little wait....but well wort it. The diet cherry Ski with a little extra cherry is my small treat to myself. The lines are typically pretty long, but they get you through the drive-thru pretty fast for the amount of business they do. Dairy King is open earlier than most similar restaurants. This is a definite plus, because some times you just need your cherry ski in the morning. The cheeseburgers are pretty good, but the other food hasn't ever done much for me. They have an extensive variety of different kinds of drinks here and they are great at customizing it to your preference.
