Burgers are generally one of two kinds, A smoosh burger eschews vegetables and is lots of meat and cheese sometimes with grilled onions and bacon. The second type is a crunch burger with pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions, usually all cut on the thick side. Think of a very basic salad on a bun that they tossed a patty and cheese on almost as an afterthought, it crunches and makes noise as you eat it. I am definitely in the crunch burger camp, so weight everything else accordingly. This is definitely a smoosh burger place, their main burger, available in single, double or cripple, is meat, cheese, and bacon forward. I asked for pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions on mine and the cook is obviously not a crunch burger fan as they were there but sparse. Lettuce is shredded, onions are thinly cut. This said, I did notice something, there was essentially zero Mallard Reaction on the patties. If you do steak, pretty much any meat, Mallard Reaction is when the surface browns and you develop that wonderful flavor. This would have ben a much better smoosh burger with that sear on it. The french fries are closer to what anyone who has traveled to Europe would call Frites... this is a VERY good thing! Not sure how they prep their fries here, but frites are typically half fried, pulled out, go back in the freezer, and are finished later. This given a very crisp exterior, but a center that is very soft and moist, delightful! I have never met a person that dislikes fries like this. This method also leaves the little surface bumps as seen in the picture. So... Good smosh burger but maybe ask for it well done so you get the browning Just okay when turned into a crunch burger unless you are very clear about wanting lots of veggies. I asked if it was an extra charge for onions and it wasn't so I got onions on it The hotdog was hot, the chili was hot, the bun tasted fresh, and I got free onions! It hit the spot. Service was fast enough. I think the extra 60 seconds were from the guy chopping fresh onions and that's my only point of concern. I saw him grab disposable gloves out of the box before he chopped onions and he got too many so he stuffed them back in the box, which gives an opportunity for cross-contamination. I know you don't always have time to wash your hands before putting on a clean pair of gloves so I would've just stuck them in my pocket to use for trash take out or something else that doesn't matter if they're not spotlessly clean. I couldn't read the other yelp reviews because I'm not on the app so I got only the first two lines, so I'm also not sure how picky anybody else was or wasn't about their food at a fast food restaurant. I am primarily picky about cleanliness so that would be my 1 STRONG suggestion if the current workers see this review :-) It's not worth taking a chance on your or someone else's health for something that is so easily midigated.
