    BREAKFAST SKILLET!

We loved The Black Cow Cafe!! The menu options are plentiful and the service was quick! We ordered breakfast skillets. The food was delicious! Make sure you're hungry, the portion sizes are huge!! Restaurant is very nice and clean!! Prices are very reasonable!! Where else could you get a huge mug of coffee including refills for (Two) bucks!

If you find yourself stuck in Ontario, Oregon with limited dinner options, sneak across the border to Fruitland, Idaho and check out The Black Cow Café. It's absolutely worth the short drive. The place has a warm, western vibe -- the kind of spot that feels both rustic and welcoming. I ordered the chicken sandwich, and it was fantastic. The highlight? A perfectly grilled dill pickle on top -- a small touch that made a big difference. Instead of fries, I opted for the Brussel sprouts. (Next time I might consider an entire meal of those delicious sprouts!!!) I paired it with a lemon drop cocktail, which was bright, balanced, and just what I needed. All in all, The Black Cow Café is a hidden gem with great food, friendly service, and a true small-town charm. Definitely worth crossing the state line for!

The food portions are insane! Super friendly service. We were looking for a place to have lunch that would be pet friendly. The Black Cow Cafe was the perfect spot. Fast service awesome food. 10/10 would recommend.

UPDATE: I had reviewed the Black Cow at their old location just down the street. Now they have new digs and the place is classy. Everything is new. They also serve adult beverages, but we just had water. Not sure if they had a TV over the bar or not, as we sat on the other side of the place. The main squeeze and I split the spicy chicken samminch and an order of fries. When I cut the sammie in half, I noticed it was not cooked through. After letting Katie know about it, she had them make another one and it was really good. Cheesy with grilled jalapenos that gave the sammie a nice bite. The fries were dynamite. They ended up comping the meal due to the first sammy. I would normally give a place 3 or 4 stars for this, but the customer service was beyond great as was the samminch. They take good care of their customers. Looking forward to the next visit when I go to Ontario.

Looking for a good weeknight dinner, we came here. Around 530pm, seating was easy and service was quick + attentive. I couldn't decide which chicken sandwich to order so I opted for the least spicy one with pickles and asked for jalapeños on the side :) It was enough for dinner and some to take. My daughter ordered the Hawaiian flatbread and liked it. Inside is pretty cozy and comfy.

Celebrating my birthday and visiting family in Fruitland decided to grab lunch. So happy we finally tried Black Cow Cafe. Decoration is warm, comfy- like being at home. Loved the cow hide wall. Service was excellent. Food is great. My husband had the Bacon Blue Burger. Double patty tons of bacon slices and hot crispy fries. Husband said that the burger was impeccable and he would drive from Meridian to Fruitland to eat another! I had the Hog Heaven sandwich. OMG it was packed with meat galore. I could barely fit my mouth around it. So tasty and delicious.

Our first time ordering and till probably be our last. This would have been a 5 star if we weren't ambushed by an automatic 15% gratuity for ordering over the phone. Apparently less work means more $$. So even though the food was good, not being told before hand and finding out after AT the restaurant is BS. We won't be ordering for carry out again.

I love this restaurant. I come about 45 mins to eat here. The Mac n cheese is the Best!! Cute decor as well

WHAT A FIND!!! A must to try if your hungry, for the sandwiches are piled high with meat and the fries are finally hot!!! We ordered the beast of burden even though it wasn't on the dinner menu, for the waitress placed that order anyways...yay. Delicious, but order it with the bread toasted to step it up a notch. The server recommended the hot Italian cow, and it too was off the chart!!! The fries were HOT AND CRISPY! The place is extremely clean, staff friendly, and food hardy and tasty! Fyi...we were towing a 27 ft trailer, and we're able to park along the side of the building. However, the businesses next to BC were closed, so we could have parked there as well since it was dinner hours and the businesses were closed

Stopped in for lunch during the week. The decor was fun, and lunch was delicious! I had the Bird n Berry sandwich and fries. I suggest a half of a sandwich unless you're famished. They were both delicious! We sat at the bar, and our bartender/waitress was kind and helpful. It's a definite do-over when I'm in the area.

It's been a tough few days but my daily trip to Jolts & Juice, has not only provided me some much needed caffeine but an emotional break as well. I'm a creature of habit, so once I find something I like, I stick with it. Someone recently told me that it takes a lot to mess up a vanilla latte, I told them, you might be surprised how many people do. Thankfully, J&J do not. My daily iced, vanilla latte with oat milk with an add shot has been great. If you read any of my other reviews, do you know how important customer service is for me. After only two days of rolling through their drive-through, they had my order memorized. After hearing why I was in town, they also gave me a punchcard with holes already punched, for a free drink. I don't know if the barista is allowed to make that decision on her own, but if not, I pray the owner reads this and instead of getting upset, praises the barista for having a kind and compassionate heart. Plus, I am sure in the coming days I will more than make up that one drink. Dealing with cancer is not fun and anyone who has done so, knows how important those brief moments of joy really are. I might be a softy, but a free latte in the middle of a cancer battle brings a little hope to a hard situation. Much love to that barista and kudos to Jolts & Juice for good coffee and a great staff.

I want to like this place, but coffee places are only as good as their baristas. Unfortunately,…read moreconsistency is the problem here. Sometimes I'll get a decent latte, but most often it's flavorless or incredibly bitter. Crafting the perfect coffee is an art, and I respect those taking a stab at it, but maybe some better quality control on those artists would help.
