If you live in ste anne and are a student, you already know about adessos. They have a good deal on takeout pizzas, where you can get a large for 11 dollars and an xlarge for 16, with three toppings of your choice. I usually go with chicken and smoked meat, just because at other pizza places they charge you extra for those. Generally the pizza is pretty decent and service is quick. The fried food tends to be more sketchy. A few times I've gotten things that tasted burnt...they might not be changing oil often enough. Poutine is decent though, but avoid the chicken poutine...it was those weird chicken-nugget esque pieces of meat, probably made from mechanically separated meat. I usuallly just go with the normal poutine. My friend swears by the spicy poutine, but the secret is just a sprinkle of cayenne so save yourself 50c and do it at home.

Normally when you call a delivery place less than 15 minutes before they close, the answer you get is something like, "Well... I'm sorry we're closing soon, and we can't take your order!". The even more important detail is that night the weather weather was a fright (icy roads en mass). I would have understood if they had said the roads were too slippery, but they just rocked it. Regardless of both facts, they were able to take the order, and deliver in 30 minutes or less. Reviewer's note: I'm not sure they knew this, but since the power was out for several hours and the roads were a disaster I was pretty stuck. If they hadn't been able to deliver, I would have had a very long night indeed, as I hadn't eaten much all day and used up a lot of energy keeping warm. Compared to people who have little to eat all day, I shouldn't complain, but again under the circumstances they really did something beyond the norm, and it was very appreciated. Thanks again.

Is the smoked meat better than Schwartz's? That's up for debate, but I'd say in quality it's about tied. From there it is a matter of taste, and if you want more pepper, you'll definitely prefer it here. Everything here is fantastic. I had roasted chicken on my recent visit and we loved it. Again, the pepper crust is almost a stapple here. I love the coleslaw here. They struck a balance between the vinaigrette and creamy approach. The potato salad is great and the fries are fresh cut. But here's what really stands out above all, and at this point I'm comparing to ANY bbq place are their beef ribs. They are possibly my favourite. Aside from being great quality and perfectly smoked, the BBQ sauce they use is unlike any other. It's darker and for a second almost reminds you of Teriyaki, but it's also quite different. It really is it's own thing. You can use that sauce on about any meat, but it really is magic with their ribs. Note: free ice cream cones for kids!

If you're craving quality BBQ with great service and a welcoming atmosphere, this place is a must-try! When in Montreal, the best we all can try. Highly recommended.

There's parking in the parking lot but also street parking. We got there and were seated right away. They had lots of choices for food! We went with a taco and cauliflower appetizer. We had the poutine mexicaine which was amazing! The fries were curly fries that gave the dish a nice touch. For the main meal we had the Lyon hamburger which was absolutely delicious. They had plenty of drinks non alcoholic and alcoholic. Overall a great place for a girls night, date night or even lunch out with the kids!

Let's talk about the Mexican Poutine which is the one I picked - it's like a fiesta in your mouth! There's crispy curly fries and they loaded them up with nacho cheese and the freshest local curd cheese you ever did taste. And then, hold the phone, they've topped it all off with nacho cheese, tomatoes, bacon, and spicy peppers. A dollop of sour cream with a hint of cilantro brings it all together! Now, the Portuguese Poutine is on the new menu and its spicy chicken, peppers, and onions, and let me tell you,it's not super spicy so you'll be okay but the flavors were all there. The vibe of this place? Imagine snagging one of those big circle patio chairs by the water, sipping your Stewart's, and eating your poutine with the wind in your hair haha - talk about the ultimate summer vibes While other folks were at regular tables or picnic spots, I was living my best life tucked away under a tree beside the water. And hey, even on a Wednesday, this place was super busy!

Yes, I am aware it's a chicken joint but seriously, try it! The menu has multiple different options and you can choose between creamy or regular coleslaw. Always go for creamy my husband said! I ordered the Chicken burger and my husband went with the leg dinner. He said it was worth the wait and the sauce that comes with the chicken was good. My burger was alright but it needed more sauce hence the loss of the star. The service was friendly and was fast. Can't wait to stop in again!

I've been going to this location for many years now as it is a family favorite and is very comfortable for whatever size party you have. I've been holding back on writing a review simply because it IS a franchise but then I realized that good ones should still be called out. My kids all love (and loved for those who've grown up) the "Animalerie" because of the presentation as well as the typical kid-fun animal-shaped chicken nuggets and fries. The rest of the family usually goes for the fan-favourite hot chicken sandwiches or burgers. Personally, I love the Bangkok Salad with chicken. The mixing of flavours including mandarines makes it a wonderfully refreshing meal - and plenty of it! it's a great treat. And, of course, that starter coleslaw is always So tasty! :) I really enjoy this venue and will keep coming back :)

I was in Kirkland to do something in the Kirkland library and decided to come here for lunch…read more It is about a 3 minute drive and perhaps a 5 to 7 minute walk from Kirkland library to this Harveys. I would say that the inside of the restaurant is very nice. The person that I was having lunch with told me that it was renovated somewhat recently (maybe within a year or so ago). I think that I went to this Harvey's around 25+ years ago when I worked in Kirkland near the Trans Canada. They had about 4 booths and some table seats as well. I chose to sit in the booth since it gave me more room. Ordering was fast and this place unlike the (mini) Harvey's that I normally go to is partnered with Scene points. Once the burger was ready, I asked for the sauces and garnishes. I found the person who put the garnishes to be somewhat "cheap" with it. I mean, I can understand giving one tomato slice or one pickle slice since most Harvey's that I've gone to do this but in terms of the amount of onions placed on my burger or the amount of relish or the amount of lettuce, each was less than a teaspoon. For the cucumber slice, I only got 1 slice and the cucumber slice was smaller than a quarter but larger than a nickel and for the jalapenos and hot peppers, I got the same thing (one piece of jalapeno and 1 piece of hot pepper) The only thing that I felt the person was generous with was the ketchup, mustard, and the spicy mayo that I asked for my burger. The fountain machine is not behind the counter so one gets it themselves and they didn't have an issue with me refilling my cup before leaving. The only thing is that there might be something wrong with their machine but their Pepsi Zero and Diet Pepsi made a lot of splashing and also made a lot of fizz when trying to fill the cup so if filling the cup, the fizz/bubbles would rise to the top of the cup and half of the cup would be liquid whereas the top half would be bubbles so I had to let the bubbles subside and then try to top it up and repeat this until the liquid amount was close enough to the top of the cup. At the time that I went (around noon), I didn't have problems parking in one of the parking spaces to the side of the restaurant.
