To start, the offices are beautiful and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant. The first artist I met with suggested I meet with Chloe because she has more experience with mens eyebrows. Then I got a consultation with Chloe who was very patient, extremely knowledgeable and importantly, very honest about meeting my expectations given my situation. Patient, compassionate and no attempt to make a sale at all. Chloe suggested I have her office do a laser treatment to remove the shadowed remains I had from a microblading procedure many years ago. She wanted a clean slate and she was 100% right. Almost immediately following the short and painless laser procedure, all of the shadowing was completely gone, which in and of itself, looked much better. Onto the procedure. Chloe worked her artistry with great care and my eyebrows came back to life, even though she required a touch up 5 weeks later, after everything had healed. Today, I went in for the Touchup, talked about the area where the pigment had lightened slightly (which is completely out of her control, I have 70 year old skin) and then she carefully started the touchup. It was so relaxing I think I fell asleep, When she finished, she handed me the mirror and I was extremely happy with the results. Actually, I can't imagine a better experience. I, myself, am an artist and director with a very keen eye for detail... and I am completely happy with the experience from beginning to end. Thank you Chloe. I would have never know this hidden treasure existed. It's tucked away in a small studio, next to Suede Restaurant and Lounge. Penny the owner was kind enough to honor my gift certificate, something she normally wouldn't do,because it was dated for 2004. I made sure to call in to see if it was still valid. Don't let this small space fool you, Wonderful things come in small packages.Her studio is decorated with Luxurious colors and textures (see pics) Just as Fancy as any upscale commercial salon or spa you might visit, perhaps even more so. I had a signature custom facial and it was Fabulous. She used some of the most wonderfully fragrant aromatherapy products, complete with hand, arm, neck, scalp and shoulder massage too. My my hands and forearms were wrapped in plastic and placed in warming mitts after the massage for the remainder of the facial, I was in heaven! In addition to facials Penny also specializes in permanent make-up procedures,scar camouflaging, corrective permanent make-up procedures, and waxing. I couldn't have left there any happier than I did, I was actually Glowing! Mine is a story of 'buyer beware.' I have very fine eyebrow hairs and went to Julia for…read moremicroblading in the hopes of having beautiful, hassle-free eyebrows. The result is that I am emotionally distraught and aesthetically maimed with mis-matched eyebrows now because of Julia's work. I take responsibility for not doing significantly more research before deciding on someone to do my microblading, or I certainly would not have selected Julia. She lacks close-up photos of her work, has only 3 reviews on Yelp, and not many more on her website where she can cherry-pick the best ones. But shame on Julia for trying to convince me that her microblading on my brows looked great, and that what I was seeing in the mirror was "just a reflection" and not what my brows really looked like. Her analysis would be laughable if it was not so flawed and deeply upsetting. I last saw Julia about a month ago for a touch-up to the original work where she promised to "even out my brows and make them perfect." She did not improve the mismatched shapes at all, but only made them darker which I did not want. Since then I have had numerous consulting appointments with professional microbladers and have heard a consistent theme to date... that my brows are definitely mismatched with one having a high arch mid-way in the brow, while the other is relatively flat with a rounded arch at the end; additionally, I've been told the brows are over-saturated so that the individual hairs are not visible which is the whole point of microblading to achieve natural looking brows. I can only pray that my brows lighten and completely disappear over the next few years. At that point, if they have not completely faded, I will need to resort to time-consuming and expensive saline treatments to remove Julia's work before I can have my brows properly microbladed. In the meantime, each morning I must re-shape each brow with a brow pencil to get a closer match so that I'm not embarrassed to go out. Needless to say, the past several months have been emotionally devastating to me and I don't know what the future holds. Julia has offered to "fix my brows" if I come in for a third appointment. In my opinion I would be crazy to let her work on me again given the outcome of my first two visits. The damage is done. Buyer beware.
