I was really comfortable during the appointment and didn't feel any pain at all. I expected it to be more painful but I could've fallen asleep. The aftercare instructions were very clear! I was a little nervous about that since it was my first time getting my eyebrows microbladed but she cleared up all of my concerns before getting started. I told everyone that microbalding was over hyped and I was not thrilled with my experience. Fast forward to February 2021 and I decided to give microblading another try. I was told about Succulent Brows and the work Tiffany does. I was hesitant to try it for fear of being disappointed again, but decided to do it anyways. I texted Tiffany to schedule my appointment and let me tell you.... since that first appointment this girl has changed my life. Her work is AMAZING, and has made my life easier and boosted my confidence. Not to mention her studio is super cute too! I have little to no eyebrows and she used her talent and turn my brows into full, thick natural looking brows. I was a little timid to ask her to add a few more stokes, but she was super nice about it and gladly did so and she made sure that I was happy comfortable with the results. I…read moredidn't have to wait 4 months for an appointment as I would have with the instagram model club. Instead I chose a real industry expert that knew what would look fabulous even if I didn't. As a newbie to any permanent makeup and a tattoo, microblading virgin, I was understandably nervous . There was timely communication from first contact to appointment to confirmation. I knew exactly what to expect with masking and sanitation protocols for our safety throughout. Jane calmed my anxiety by explaining the entire process and each step as she artfully, safely, patiently and with the expertise of a professional in her craft since 1994, executed gorgeous, natural looking brows for me. She started like a Dr with medical history paperwork, taking my whole of humanity into consideration prior to getting into the meat and potatoes of the procedure which I appreciated! Jane assessed my face/canvas and drew what she believed would be beautiful for my structure and let me see for agreement. We proceeded to the microblading process and I feel it couldn't have gone better with knowing which parts would be painful vs rest breaks and the tlc I felt from Jane considering all my allergies and well being. I'm thrilled with the result and excited to see how the artfully crafted brows will look after healed. I had overplucked them in the past and they were uneven and thinned out. Penciling them in hasn't always produced an even well manicured effect. Embarrassing at times. Those worries are now over. I'd definitely recommend Jane as a real trained professional in this industry over a fad instagram star. She has an abundance of personality and whimsical charm. After following dozens of microblading artist and unfollowing the…read moreones I didn't like, Emily at Nakd Beauty was the last woman standing because of her flawless brow shapes and crispy strokes. Let me tell you. Emily has changed my life for the better and has given me so much confidence. Never in a million years would I have thought a pair of brows could make such a difference! Microblading is not cheap, but it's absolutely worth Every. Single. Penny. I initially saw Emily a year ago. After booking online and making a $50 deposit, I was more than ready for my new brows! Before each session I've had with her, Emily was very clear with pre and post procedure guidelines. It important to follow these because it can directly have an impact on the results of your session. Each session, initial vs. touch up is the same. Once in her room, she maps your brows. This can take a while because this is the most important step! She makes sure you like the shape and will make any tiny adjustment you ask with the most patience out of anyone I've ever met. Once you have your perfect brow shape, she makes recommendations for your perfect brow shade. Once all that has been decided, she applies a numbing gel and lets it sit for about 20 minutes. She usually leaves the room and you can just chill on your phone during this time. Once the 20 minutes is up, the actual microblading begins. She wipes the gel off and it works great but can wear off towards the end. She reapplies the gel once finished with each brow because she does 2 more "passes" aka she goes over the brows a total of 3 times. I'm not going to lie, microblading is bizarre. At first you don't feel anything, but you can hear the blade cutting your skin. By the end, in more sensitive areas you can both feel and hear each stroke of the blade. It's not fun but it's bearable and totally worth it! Once she's done, she sets you up with an after care cleanser and balm. She recommends a touch up session which I had already booked. I had to have 2 touch up sessions about 6-10 weeks apart to achieve the look i was going for and ultimately in my last session, I changed from microblading to combo brow which is microblading and shading. This was so much better for my oily skin! I just had my annual touch up and with a bit more experience and training under her belt, my brows have never healed or looked better! I did follow the after care instructions to a T! One tip I would give is to be sure to thoroughly rinse off all the cleanser! At first I was afraid to use too much water and most likely wasn't getting all the cleanser off my brows which did make a difference in healing. Also, book you touch up at the same time as your initial because her schedule fills up fast! Emily at Nakd beauty is sooo nice and funny and pretty and smart. She has the best personality! Her work is absolutely incredible! She is very clear with the expectations she has of her clients and holds us to the same accountability that we hold her as an artist resulting in flawless brows every time. I would recommend her to anyone looking to get their brows done a million times over!
