Everything we had to eat during our visit was incredible and beautiful! The service was extremely friendly, and very helpful in figuring out the dishes and giving suggestions. Would love to return in the future, 10/10 recommend if you're in Mexico City!!

In a quiet neighborhood in CDMX, Sud777 is a beautiful restaurant run by an ex-Noma alum, Chef Edgar Núñez. It is a magnificent 2 floor restaurant: Sud777 on top, Hokusai on the first floor. Here are words from the website : "Located in the heart of Pedregal, Sud 777 is a restaurant that honors the tradition of a neighborhood designed by prominent urban planners and architects. Since its opening in 2008, it has been part of the culinary offerings of southern Mexico City due to the gastronomic proposal of chef Edgar Núñez who has positioned himself worldwide for his prodigious technique and his Mexican vegetable cuisine....." How was my meal here? Very good. There were 2 dishes that didn't work for me: the green peach and mint (a bit green for the peach) and the cabbage, cuitlacoche and truffle (the vinegar soup was powerful). Otherwise I loved everything else. Chef Nuñez came by to serve the oyster and beetroot plate: orange and Mexican cheese essence. It's a cool feeling to visit a restaurant and the chef comes by to plate a dish. Service was very good and the plates yummy. I loved that the vegetables and ingredients used were grown locally or organic-- I could taste the difference. I tried the juices pairing this meal and was unimpressed. I will go for the wine pairing next time. Tip: If you are queasy about trying new ingredients in unfamiliar combinations, the tasting menu that I sampled is daring and different. Mexican flavors are wildly delicious and it may just be that my palate is not accustomed, yet. I loved my experience here though and will come back. End of Yelp.

This restaurant is in the world's top 100 restaurants and I'm not sure if it truly lived up to the hype. I'll say that the setting of the restaurant is beautifully done. I felt like I was transported to an oasis away from the urban jungle that Mexico City is. We came here for a food tasting with the wine pairing. This was $$$$ and I felt that the food and service did not merit the price point. The service was mediocre for fine dining as the waiters had rehearsed lines for each plating. They couldn't fully answer questions when we asked more. In the fine dining setting/Michelin star world, I expect the service to be bar none. The dishes from the tasting menu were very vegetable heavy. I'll say that the crab dish and goat dish were the best. The rest were not memorable. I probably would not recommend this for splurging on a night out as I suspect that there are better fine dining restaurants in Mexico City.

Sud 777 is currently the No. 70 best restaurant on The Worlds 50 Best list, and currently the No. 31 best restaurant on Latin Americas 50 Best list. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Mexico City. The restaurant is gorgeous, and a hidden gem. Super chic, and modern design. The service is impeccable. The food incredible. Some of the most unique and delicious plates I've had.

We did the tasting menu and it was amazing! The dishes were so creative in how they presented their ingredients! My favorites were the cherry tomatoes with the olive cracker and the cod but really we enjoyed every dish! The staff were very friendly and accommodating and were able to explain things in English to us. I will absolutely be coming back here next time I'm in CDMX.

The restaurant is a bit cold even when sitting inside as it's an indoor/outdoor mixed concept for seating. It's very fancy. This is a vegetarian review. The poblano risotto is amazing. It's quite tasty. The mole soup is also splendid. The nopales salad is not great. It's over salty due to the cheese added and not as complex in flavour as the other dishes. The order in which the food comes out is different than expected. Salad came out during the end. Service was decent as they come by often, know English in case you don't know Spanish. Lots of delicious drink options too including non alcoholic. Bathrooms are clean as well. Decor is lovely.

Sud 777 is the best restaurant in Mexico City, and we have eaten at all the great ones, including the lauded Pujols. Sud 777 is located in a modern building is that's an architectural marvel, enhancing the dining experience with a zen like aesthetic. The bar, handled by the iconic Rogelio and the effervescent Raul, started our evening at Sud 777 with warmth and a whole lot of fun. The space is so beautiful I expected stuffy, but Rogelio and Raul made us feel so welcomed. Led across a bridge to our table, I was hushed by the beautiful surroundings. Sud 777 could get away with just good food, but the kitchen at Sud 777 is superb, multiple Michelin star worthy. My Turkey molé was unbelievable. Grilled octopus was incredible. The fideo lip smacking delicious. Desserts, wines, and liquors were all top notch. Service rivaled anything in Paris. Sud 777 is one of the best restaurants in the world.

Wow. Absolutely amazing. Room is comfortable and serene. Service was outstanding. Attentive but not overbearing and we did not feel rushed. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairings. Interesting combinations of foods with a variety of flavors and textures, paired well with lovely wines. Definitely recommend.

Sud 777 is #12 on Latin America's best restaurants list and #52 on world list... but that means nothing until you finally get to experience it! This restaurant is located outside of the city, so with rush hour traffic it can take up to 45 minutes to get there, so plan in advance! I had to call them as I was rushing over in my Uber as I thought i would be 30 minutes late.. In fact, I ended up arriving on time as my Uber driver took outside roads to avoid the traffic in Mexico City. The restaurant is beautifully built and decorated. Sud 777 sits atop a Japanese restaurant, but it feels like its own little resort world, with the breeze freely circulating the air. Great atmosphere for a romantic date night! As I was a solo diner, I was seated in the back corner, so I enjoyed people-watching throughout my meal. To my surprise, Chef Edgar Nunez himself came out to personally greet me and introduce the green bean aguachile and topped it off with the green apple granita. I thought that was a nice touch - I didn't see him do that for other guests, so I did feel a little special on that one. I noticed that much of the menu was vegetarian-focused, other than the crab dish, blood sausage, and goat tacos. But every dish was so delicious, it didn't really bother me! I had mamey fruit for the first time - they came out and brought the shell of the fruit to explain. I always love learning on my food adventures! The goat tacos were my favorite, especially wrapped in shiso leaf. They brought out a second rendition of the taco with tortillas, calling it the "Mexican version." I liked the habanero paste that the tacos came with, too. The service was excellent throughout my meal, and they timed each dish very well, with adequate rest time between courses but not too much. As others have noted, they have rehearsed their lines for explaining each dish, but that's expected, as this is a Mexican restaurant, after all. I'm grateful they were able to speak English! Definitely worth visiting and trying the tasting menu!
came here with bryce and the food and experience was so good! did the 13 course small plates tasting menu. never done anything like this so quite enjoyed it. will say it is quite pricy (a little overpriced imo) but loved how they catered to my vegan diet. service and ambiance were quite nice read more

I made the trip from Reforma to Sud 777, and while it's a bit of a hike, it's absolutely worth it. The space is beautiful with a cool, modern ambiance and great service. I had the tasting menu, which was creative and unique, mixing local ingredients with top-tier presentation and technique. It also seemed easier to book than some of the other Michelin-level spots in CDMX, which makes it an even better find. I don't understand all the bad Yelp reviews dissing it. my experience was excellent from start to finish. If you're looking for elevated dining that highlights Mexican ingredients in imaginative ways, this is one of the best options in the city. read more

This was by far the worst Michelin dining experience I've ever had in my life and I've gone to a lot of places. Lucky for me, I actually had made the reservation for the wrong day, but unluckily for me they were able to accommodate us. The positives: The ambience, vibes, and service were all fantastic - worthy of a fine dining experience as it is a restaurant with beautiful decor. The negatives: Googling this restaurant, you may see articles praising this delicious tasting menu for only $70 - this is vastly incorrect as somehow they've doubled their prices for the tasting menu (not on their website). The food was not interesting and had way too many flavor clashes - the mint asparagus was disgusting, the fish was overcooked, and the vegetables were mediocre at best. We even got the juice pairing, which was just generally very OK and not worth getting as some of the drinks were quite boring. For $70 per person, this would've been a very mediocre to OK experience. For the price we paid which was double per person (not including the juice pairing), it was downright a scam. Please avoid this restaurant at all cost, and if you're a Michelin reviewer, come back and check out this restaurant - I don't think they are deserving of their star anymore. If you're coming to Mexico City and you have to try a star'd place, then I would highly recommend Rosetta. read more

Sud is a beautiful restaurant and the staff is great. The food, however, was very inconsistent. The first three dishes were wonderful, but the rest of the tasting menu was really underwhelming. The aged and free roasted carrots were so tough I couldn't get my fork into it. The trout in date mole was inedible. I realize a place can have an off night but when my friend sent them a dm about our experience they suggested the problem was our unsophisticated palates. That's poor customer service and just rude. I wouldn't return given the experience and response. read more

This was disappointing. Ambiance and decor is nice. The place was not busy at all for a Friday night. Quality of the food was ok but definitely not worthy of a Michelin restaurant while the prices were. Service was ok. However just as we swallowed our last bites of the appetizers the main course arrived (literally seconds after) Everything felt rushed. Would not go back read more

I don't normally leave reviews, let alone negative ones but I'm sorry to say, the food tonight was not good, especially for the price point. When the reservation was made there was no mention that it was a prix fixe menu. Only a handful of the items on the menu were worth having. The cod was extremely salty and not edible. The tuna sauce was criminal. We came here a few years ago and the food was so much better. This was a big disappointment. I'm surprised someone tasted the food and gave it a thumbs up to serve. The best dish was the duck that wasn't even offered as part of the tasting menu. That was only offered once they realized we were too fond of everything else. And to make matters worse, when we mentioned that the dirty martini wasn't good they weren't even willing to remove it off the check. Mind you, the check was $1,500 USD and they weren't willing to remove a $15 drink. Easily the lowlight of the entire trip. read more

Posting this in hopes that someone saves themselves $10,000 pesos (~600USD) How this restaurant has over four stars on google, a Michelin star in 24/25 and has made Latin America Worlds 50 Best is beyond me. I walked in with high hopes from these accolades and thought the ambiance of the restaurant was gorgeous. I should preface that I have been fortunate enough to dine at well over 20 different Michelin starred experiences all over the world. This was by far the worst tasting menu I have ever tried. Most of these dishes tasted like nothing or just tasted plain bad. The first course was ran by the sommelier and when I asked in which order chef reccommended taking the bites, he insisted I could eat them however. I thought that was odd considering I had a clementine with roe, a pumpkin tart and a beignet with guanciale in front of me. Luckily, I know my way around a menu and started with the freshest bite first. It was a plain clementine with overly fishy salmon trout roe (incorrectly described as caviar by the sommelier when ran). I could barely finish the first bite. I still had hopes that this experience would get better after that first inedible bite, but I was soon proven very wrong. Most dishes had either severely muted flavor, or the combinations made no sense. Dishes lacked balance, flavor, texture and seasoning. I almost destroyed my palate with how sharp the shallot tarte was, and that's coming from someone who LOVES onions. I also had gotten the wine pairing and there was no harmony between the dish and the wine. Just a random wine paired with the dish if I had to guess. I was lucky if I could get the som to give me anything more than a mumble of the name of the wine, let alone the region or grapes. Admittedly, I have very high service standards as my ex-wife worked for years at a two starred restaurant. I know what great service is and this was not even close. Dishes were being ran while over half a glass of wine from the last pairing was still sitting on the table. It felt so rushed that I had to ask 3 different staff members to have more time in between courses. I know that can be a personal preference but good servers should naturally adjust to the flow of the table. All members of the team should also be able to properly spiel each dish that is being dropped. I barely got anything other than the items listed on the tasting menu that was printed out and sitting right next to me. The table was left uncrumbed for the entire experience. The silverware was sloppily re-set each time. The server assistant even got his sleeve in one of my dishes as he dropped it. As the meal went along it got worse. The tomato-tonnato dish used awful produce; the tomato used was grainy and clearly overripe. Not to mention I did not understand the flavor combination of the tuna sauce it was sitting in. Dishes that were supposed to be hot, came room temperature or borderline cold. The Risotto and Sea Plankton dish was undercooked. There is quite frankly no excuse for hard risotto at a michelin starred restaurant. The Biscayan Style Cod was incorrectly ran to the table next to us, then finally hit our table and was lukewarm and very oversalted. Looking back, there were several dishes I should have sent back. It was the first time I was pained to pay for an experience. Good service is subjective, but the chef should be embarassed this is the food being put out. Even if I don't agree with the flavor profiles and combinations, the techniques at a michelin starred restaurant should be perfected. I am sympathetic to a couple mistakes, as we are all human but this was just consistently bad. I have been to restaurants where vegetable forward menus SHINE (Le Jardinier in Houston and Miami are a great example) and this menu was a disservice to menus that are supposed to focus on produce over protein. If this was my first introduction to a michelin starred tasting menu, I would never try one again. read more

Sud777mx We had a very difficult experience at Sud 777. We came to CDMX after Christmas with our older children basically for the sole purpose of dining around the city for a few days. Sud777 was essentially a disaster from start to finish. When we arrived we were seated and given the menu. The highlight of the whole meal was the menu presentation, it arrived slid into a large piece of lava rock folded beautifully with a wax stamp. We chose the tasting menu with the paired tasting of Mexican wines. Then it went downhill. The first couple of courses, including amuse, were well done and delicious, especially the tangerine with trout roe. On the converse, the service truly fell apart. Courses arrived without explanation, were just dropped on the table. Food came out before the paired wines, which meant we waited uncomfortably for pours to arrive as warm food cooled. After a few courses in this fashion, I asked the service team to please correct and make sure the wines were poured before the food course arrived (in both English and Spanish); they seemed confused by this request. Service was briefly adjusted for one course but then returned to a disjointed cadence. A number of courses in, we were served a seaweed risotto. It arrived garnished with a few sea beans and visually, excessively overcooked. It had a consistency somewhere between porridge and toothpaste. Even the flavor was unbalanced and flat. It was truly awful. Maybe the "A" team was off for the holidays, but any chef , especially of a Michelin starred restaurant, who is paying any attention, should know better. We sent the risotto back, with no apology or explanation from the service team. They asked if they could supplement the course for something else, we accepted the duck option. I assume to buy some time to prepare the duck course, they first sent us a vegetable course of snap peas that was delicious, the duck followed some time after. To accompany the duck they offered us a mezcal to pair; the wine paired to the risotto had long gotten warm while we waited for an extended period and would not have been the correct match, so we accepted. In the end they charged us additionally for the mezcal despite having already paid for a full wine pairing for the meal. When we asked about being charged for the mezcal after the bill came, we received a blank stare. Annoyed, we paid for the mezcal. The dinner came to a painful end with the service team completely lost and the culinary team producing a meal that was barely adequate, especially given the high price paid. I messaged the restaurant about my disappointment the next day including specifics about what went wrong. About 24 hours later I received what seemed to be a sincere apology from the chef with an invitation to return. We were on a short trip to CDMX and had departed town during the course of communicating with the restaurant. I responded that, while we would be happy to give it another attempt, timing made it not feasible. It was an expensive dinner in dollars, time and effort and was intended to be one of the splurge highlights of our trip. I asked for a 50% refund... Radio silence. We travel the world and have been to many many Michelin starred restaurants. The combination of service and culinary stumbles were quite disappointing. Sud777, it's pretty clear that eyes were not on the ball. At these prices, every customer deserves your "A" game. If you would like to hang on that star, someone needs to right the ship. read more

Please stay away, especially if you are not a local! Prior to making a reservation for our group of 10, we had saw some Yelp reviews of Sud 777 not offering the a la carte menu to some people. So made sure we confirmed multiple times that we wanted to do a la carte. Each staff member said this is certainly doable and was confirmed for our group. However, when we arrived at Sud 777, we were annoyed to find out they backtracked and were saying "we only offer our tasting menu today". Given that it took an hour to get here from downtown Mexico City, we were hesitant to just leave... we decided to try the tasting menu any way. It was probably the worst meal of my life especially at that price point of $150+ per person. The ingredients were cheap, not unique, and did not make sense together.. some were even difficult to finish, and I hate wasting food. For one example, the main dish of the tasting menu was a tuna with spinach. For the person in our group that was vegetarian, they got the same exact dish, just without the tuna. It was literally a single stalk of spinach. The only redeeming thing here was the restaurant was nice. Please save your time, energy, and money and go anywhere else. read more

Dismal. Service was great, we loved Annabel, but food was truly awful. The tomato 'from the chef's own garden' was mealy and tasteless. We should have known right then it would not be a good dinner but it went downhill from there. 2 tastings + 2 MX wine pairings $600+USD and so very very disappointing. I cant imagine how they got a michelin star. Tasteless unimaginative food, not a single memorable dish and left hungry. Avoid at all costs. read more

Do not come here for the fixed menu. It was my birthday tonight and we booked a reservation on OpenTable assuming we would get their typical menu (which we enjoy). Nowhere on OpenTable did it say there was a fixed menu for $140 US dollars, which was the only option for tonight. Ok, fine - we stuck it out in hopes this MICHELIN restaurant would be very good, as their regular menu is. Every course was not great. I'm not sure where the chefs head is at with the fixed meal/chefs menu, but all 6 of my group was severely unhappy with pretty much every single course. I also had ordered an extra dirty martini - it was straight vodka. I did not drink it, but I also did not say anything because I did not want another drink. At the end of the $28,000 $MEX // $1,600 USD meal, I asked if they could take my one drink that I didn't drink off the receipt. And they refused. Safe to say I will not be going back and will make sure to let others know to avoid chef tasting menu nights. read more

Holy shit, the tasting menu here is legitimately one of the worst meals I've ever had in my life. I would be so embarrassed to be a chef here. I barely know where to begin except that none of the flavor pairings (they were really pushing savory and sweet) made sense and nothing worked or was special. Worse yet, things just tasted bad. Tell me why I am eating a sliver of cured anchovy with a creamy sickly sweet chocolate paste, followed by a breadstick. Or a caramel flan, with a spoonful of caviar floating around on top! Perhaps a giant flap of overcooked bok choy dressed with coffee cream? One of the desserts that was supposed to be a basil, cinnamon, and apple pavlova tasted like baby food served on an egg shell. All Sud 777 delivered was a liberal use of sea salt flakes, expensive ingredients with no understanding of execution, and a bummer. I thought I was being trolled but in actuality I was scammed. I want to say the service was better but from start to finish it was just a confounding experience. Host was nowhere to be found, we had to wander around to declare our reservation. At one point I ended up filling my water glass with my own water bottle. My partner asked for her a la carte items to go and it never ever re-appeared. The pacing was so off by the end I felt like I was being held prisoner. I truly think, but also deeply hope for the sake of everyone that enjoys good food, that they will not only lose their Michelin star but also just close down. read more

I very much enjoyed my visit to Sud! What stuck out most about my experience was the lovely ambiance - it's an open design concept with plenty of plants and a black/brown color scheme. I went for lunch but I'm sure at dinner time it would be very romantic. They have a tasting menu with tons of options and a great lineup for dessert! The service is excellent too, everyone was very nice and helpful. The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is because while the flavors were great, they didn't totally blow me away for several dishes. There were a few that I really did LOVE though - the strawberry mousse dessert being the most memorable to me. I went to a different 1 star Michelin restaurant in Mexico that I liked more so I couldn't give the same (5 star) review that I gave them! But nevertheless - sud is EXCELLENT and well worth a visit! Side note, the bathrooms are exceptionally nice, the sink area is very clean and modern. read more

Gorgeous restaurant. Food was yummy. We need the wine pairing. Highly recommend. Food was simple and delicious. Mainly vegetarian
From street food to Michelin star restaurants, when you know, you know. If you can only afford one nice meal out, make this your stop! Ambience: this place is decorated so beautifully that I took pictures for my remodel. Service: I slipped one of the waiters extra cash on my way out because it was that damn good. I hope they are tipping the dishwashers in the back because damn they changed out our plates and silverware often. Reservations: when we called, they asked if I had any allergies. I do, and they repeated them when I was ordering. A+++ Food: First I want to apologize to all those who watched "My Teacher the Octopus" and now avoid eating those magnificent creatures because this was the best I've had! I don't usually like them because of the chew but it was soft and (where is that drool emoji?) Dress: we were fairly casual because it was spontaneous, but business casual was the attire. Everything we ate was plated beautifully and scrumptious. Cost:$150 US total (with a bottle of wine) Best meal of our trip! read more

Where to start. First bite was an underripe tangerine with salty roe on top. Disjointed and fighting flavors set the tone for the rest of this disappointing meal. The risotto with sea vegetables was salty and one-note with overcooked risotto. The tomato-tonnato would have been a hit with my cats who love pureed fish paste with no other flavor. After finding bones in our very salty cod we were offered a "complimentary " duck dish which had already been offered to us before hand only to find out they were out of duck. So instead we got yet again an oversalted piece of fish atop a watery "green mole" with plain popcorn served with it for god knows what reason.. The desserts were a sad and grainy after thought. The service was abrupt, inattentive and careless, except for our busser who did a good job. They seem to not care about their food nor did any one seem to taste it before serving it. This was the most disappointing Michelin experience we've ever had. Sud is a pale reflection of what they seem to believe a fine dining experience should be. Do not waste your time or money here. read more

Hands down one of the best course experiences I have ever had!! The service was spectacular with even better cocktails. I'm not entirely sure how else to advocate this business as a must try when coming to Mexico City since there menus change seasonally, regardless you are in for a world class experience, food made with the intention to bring nostalgia. Did the tasting menu with the wine pairing and was deeply disappointed. The food was not anything special for the price and the fact that they have a Michelin star. The service was slow and I felt ignored compared to the tables around me. The vibe is great and it has potential but overall disappointed. read more

This place is a big disappointment.... We came in because of the world's best restaurant list hype, but this place is nothing comparable to any other place on the list we have been. Communication: we kind of assumed that at least someone at the restaurant can be fluent in English given the international acclaim it has received. Turns out there was none; communication with the servers is a big issue if you can't speak much Spanish. Service: the service was a mess for a restaurant at this level (not sure if it is because of COVID). For example, one server came and put a spoon for the next dish, while 1 min later another server came and removed the spoon. And shortly someone else came and put the spoon down again. As another example, a server removed our bread basket with more than half left; 5 min later another server came with a new basket full of bread. I even had my fork and knife removed by a server before I even finished my entree (he didn't even ask). All of these just make us feel very uncomfortable. Food: given all the hype and the extremely high price tag (def one of the most expensive in CDMX), we had really high expectation going in. Overall the food was mediocre and can only be called a nice dinner. Some of the dishes were not done right- the bread was cold and bland. The smoked kampachi tasted very bitter. The sea bass was bland and dry. I am not sure if the flavors just didn't fit our preference, but I have been to Quitonil (another Mexican fine dining restaurant in CDMX) and really liked every dish there. Conclusion: do not recommend. read more

A great tasting menu experience, every dish was just amazing. I got pretty full towards the main dish, our choice was tuna fish and steak. I was only able to eat 1/2 of the steak. Of course the dessert was drooling good. Highly recommended but def make early reservations read more

Horrible experience. Service was mediocre at best, We chose to do the chefs tasting and it was awful. Truly disappointing in all areas. The restaurant is beautiful but besides that avoid at least the chefs tasting and maybe try the regular menu. read more

Our recent visit to SUD777 was an absolute disaster, marred by blatant racism and fraudulent practices. Despite months of anticipation and research, our experience was nothing short of appalling. Upon arrival, we intended to enjoy their à la carte menu. However, we were only offered a tasting menu priced at a hefty $150 per person. To our confusion, we noticed other diners enjoying a variety of dishes from the à la carte menu, while we were stuck with the overpriced tasting menu. As two Asian tourists, we found this incredibly suspicious and discriminatory. When we questioned the waiter and manager, they pretended not to understand English, further exacerbating our frustration. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also deeply offensive. After our meal, we discovered a similar review from another Asian customer (last name Kim) posted just a week prior. To our shock, we realized our OpenTable reservation had been mysteriously canceled, erasing any evidence of our booking. This underhanded tactic is fraudulent and manipulative, aimed at silencing dissatisfied customers and covering up their discriminatory practices. We were forced into an expensive tasting menu while locals enjoyed the freedom of choosing from the regular menu. This discriminatory treatment and blatant fraud have left us deeply upset and disappointed. We urge others to avoid SUD777. No one should have to endure such unfair and racist treatment. This establishment's behavior is unacceptable and deserves to be called out.

One of the most gorgeous restaurants, greenery everywhere and seating is comfortable with nice table setting. Service was absolutely flawless, everyone was super attentive and super nice. Food was absolutely amazing, food came quickly and everything tasted great! Was lucky enough to visit shortly after they got their well deserved Michelin Star. Must go to place in Mexico City read more

Horrific food and service. The restaurant itself is freezing cold. Skip and save yourself the heartbreak and time!
We did the a la carte menu which was pretty extensive. We need to come back for the tasting and add more items from the a la carte. The food was really good and this place is gorgeous. My favorites were the scallops and the beets followed by the pil pil fish. read more

This is the worst meal of my entire life. We got the tasting menu and wine pairing. I have been to at least 20 michelin star restaurants and the menu selection was disgusting. 9 out of 10 dishes were extremely sweet to in the vegan menu. Regular menu was similar but not as bad. I thought that this was a joke. We asked for the check before receiving all the deserts but they did bring them anyway. My friend was about to puke and they even charged the espresso after we told them we wanted the check and we do not want any deserts. My friend puked at the taxi at the end. The worst part is we paid around 600 us dollars for this meal. My friend did not even finish half of the dishes. read more

Great place for ambience. But the vegetarian tasting menu is 0/5. Some of the veggies weren't even cooked, very unpleasant eating raw sweet potato. Not for the price. read more

What an incredible experience! Chef Nuñez truly worked to create a fresh and innovative tasting menu that beautifully integrated many seasonal and fresh ingredients native to Mexico and Central America (many of which I have never tried, so it was the perfect introduction). Courses were perfectly paced and presented in a very meticulous and logical order. The ambiance felt very woodsy, but made modern, and service was impeccable every step of the way. FYI, regardless of your choice to opt in/out of wine pairings, make sure you try the cocktails! read more

If you are a foreigner visiting CDMX, DO NOT come here. Save your money and your stomach. I wish I had taken the other 1-star reviews seriously because their entire operation is a coordinated scam targeting tourists. Just like some of the other reviewers have mentioned, this restaurant aggressively traps foreigners into ordering their "vegetarian-centric" tasting menu while hiding the fact that an à la carte menu even exists. To make matters worse, they have literally doubled the price of this menu recently--forcing us into a massive bill for what amounts to poorly prepared, tiny portions of raw and emulsified vegetables. We chose this tasting menu strictly because it explicitly promises supplementary meat or fish courses free of charge at the bottom so you don't leave hungry. But it's a total bait-and-switch. They intentionally dragged out the service for over two hours just to bring out a few raw leaves and a radish. When it hit 10:00 PM and we finally asked for the promised protein courses, they made us wait another 30 minutes and then flatly refused because the "kitchen was closed"--all while tables around us were actively being served. They use the late hour to bully you into paying full price for an unfulfilled, incomplete meal. We left completely starving in the middle of the night and ended up feeling incredibly unwell in our stomach the next day. It is a predatory scam. Avoid at all costs. read more
I recently dined at sud777 and had a mixed experience. The suckling pig and the beef Wellington from the a la carte menu were absolutely incredible - highly recommend trying them. While I enjoyed about half of the dishes from the tasting menu, I'd suggest opting for the a la carte for a more satisfying experience. The restaurant boasts delicious food and stunning interior design that I absolutely loved. However, our overall experience was slightly marred by the fact that our waitress seemed overwhelmed, attending to numerous tables alone. We didn't see her for 40 minutes before dessert, which was a downside. Additionally, it was disappointing that she wouldn't allow us to order bread for our kids before placing our main order. Despite the service hiccup, the food and ambiance make this place worth a visit. read more
SUD 777 offers a unique dining experience with its inventive dishes and stylish ambiance. The presentation of the food is impeccable, and the flavors are generally delightful. However, some dishes fell short of expectations, lacking the wow factor we anticipated. Service was splendid and very attentive. Overall, a decent option for those seeking a modern twist on Mexican cuisine. read more
