Do not guarantee there fence posts, we had 2 roit out after only 6 years...not only did it take them 3 wks to return our call, but was told we had to purchase new post. We are extremely pleased with our fence. We had a number of choices for materials and design, and we received clear, solid estimates for the work. When the workers came, they were prompt, friendly and courteous, and did excellent work. They left the work area neat and clean. The crew worked straight through from arrival to finish, and completed the job in a couple of hours. We thought about doing this ourselves to save some money, but after watching these guys work -- and seeing the beautiful, level straight and sturdy fence, I am so glad we engaged Sudbury Cedar Fence. Their products that were installed seem great and they did great work with the installation and cleanup. They aren't cheap but probably not the most expensive either. That said, they rescheduled on me a bunch of times, often without notice (they admittedly can't control the weather), and when they finally did the work, they didn't didn't follow what we had discussed several times as far as where to start the fence replacement, leaving me with an incomplete job. They didn't really care much when I pointed it out and made no offer to correct the situation other than hiring them again to replace more panels. read more

If you want great customer service, buy local! Sudbury Cedar Fence is a great example. Our recent crazy weather knocked out a section of my cedar fence (installed in 1997) and downed a huge limb that damaged my shed and completely took out my compost bin. I am pretty handy with tools and was completely ready to use my Swedish saw to dismember the limb to take it to Concord dump. Then George arrived right on time and quickly diagnosed my fence repair, but was a bit concerned by my gung-ho attitude about the limb. Bottom line, in between fixing my fence (which he did quickly and expertly), George used his sawzall to safely disassemble the limb, cutting it up into lengths that I could load onto a neighbor's truck to take to the Concord dump. Local vendors care and will go the extra mile to make our lives easier. By the way, I am making two loaves of homemade rye bread for George to thank him for his service. My parents and uncles have used him for years. He is reliable and his prices really are the best. Everyone who walks by has given us compliments on how great it looks. I didn't have a great experience with Sudbury Fence. I wanted them to secure an existing fence so my new dog couldn't escape. They gave me what seemed to be a reasonable quote but only fixed half the fence. After my dog escaped, I contacted them to fix the areas the should have fixed in the first place. Paul gave me a quote for that. When I received the bill, it wasn't as discussed. He recalls communicating something different. While the invoice issue was a problem, the bigger problem is that they didn't address our need to secure the dog.
