I walked in to see if I could become a new patient. It clearly says new patients on the front window. When I walked in the First girl couldn't be bothered. She didn't look like she was happy to be at work today. Then it was lunchtime so she left and another woman took over. Again, more interested in lunch then helping any patients or anyone that could be a Potential Patient. I'm shocked of the level of professional attitude and willingness to help anyone. Dr. Mitra at first visit presented herself as a caring and endearing medical practitioner. It is smoking mirrors people. After she scheduled me for an Mamo exam she immediately called me in with the "C" scare. I couldn't understand how a doctor who practices internal medicine tells you you might have cancer without a biopsy. Needless to say, she has not assisted me with finding a Breast Surgeon, but continuously schedules appointments for me to see her knowing I can't find a doctor. Her last appointment was a televisit which I didn't know I had and subsequently missed. I received a letter after the new year that she dropped me for a missed appointment. what kind of doctor does this. I say a greedy one. Dr. Mitra is interested in the $ not her patients. It took over a month to get an appointment , despite being released from hospital and urgent. Finally the day arrived to to see Dr. Mitra, Paper work and hospital records were dropped off 2 weeks prior to appointment. The office called the day before appointment to remind to bring insurance, ID and all medications. At the end of the message they said "see you at 9Am. We were 5 minutes from the office and received a call that the appointment was cancelled , because we were not there at 8:30. I explained the appointment was 9Am and the office Manager said we needed to be there at 8:30 for New Patient paper work, again I explained that paper work was filled out and dropped off at office 2 weeks earlier. I told her we were 5 minutes away and we would be there prior to 9Am. We arrived at 10 minute till 9am. There was NOT ONE car in the parking lot and NOT ONE person in the lobby. When we arrived she made it clear we were not going to see the Dr. I honestly was flabbergasted at her nasty power trip! I explained we are here, he ha waited a month, you have the paper work filled out this is insane. She handed me back the paper work and then called the police on us - that had to be the most bizarre thing I have ever witnessed in my life. I can't select a rating as I would not even give her 1 star. If the Office Manager is this disgusting , than it's obvious the Dr allows this behavior and perhaps explains why the parking lot and Lobby was empty. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME - TOTAL DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR AND THEY HAVE NO CARE FOR A PATIENT. read more

DR Mitra Diagnosed my mother with COPD over 5 years ago,DR Mitra came to this diagnosis with just a chest xray and a breathing test. Never sending her for a CT scan of her lungs although she was aware that my mother had been a heavy smoker for 55 years. Only after i called her complaining on my mothers behalf did she do a CT scan, my mother now has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer , which has spread thoughout her body. My mother was never offered any more testing of her lungs and DR Mitra's response when questioned was ( my mother never asked for it) . I have been a patient of Dr. Mitra for a few years. Mainly, since I became eligible for Medicare Programs. At the time, I found her to be very professional, articulate and a good listener of my conditions and/or needs. However, the past few visits, particularly the 5/27/22, have been very peculiar. Mainly from her Office Manger Sandy Haglock. A few weeks ago, I had an appointment, at her office, which was purposely canceled. Sandy, she took it upon herself to cancel my appointment because she felt I was being rude because I questioned her on a bill she pulled out; which was dated 2020. I asked her several times what this 2020 bill pertained to, she had no explanation(s) wrote the number to the billing dept. I asked her again, please let me know what that old bill was for, no response. Yet, because, I needed to see the Dr., that day, I paid the $188.00 which were in question. Sandy, just noted that my appointment was still cancelled and I couldn't see the Dr. Mitra. Now, understand that I am a World Trade Recipient and was there to follow up on blood work, requested by the Dr. a few weeks prior. Most importantly, I had problems with my voice, which was very raspy, and had a constant cough. I was hoping, the Dr., would provide an order for this. I also wanted to bring the doctor up to speed on all the World Trade Documentation I had left in her office a week(s) prior, at the time she sent out for my lab work. The Documentation I was going to discuss clearly indicated that my primary doctor was to recommend a Pulmonologist or other specialist, because my Annual 2022 World Trade Test showed signs of COPD, breathing abnormalities and other conditions related to the 2001 attack. Sandy, had no idea that I had an intense follow up meeting with the doctor. Yet, she put herself as a medical specialist and chose to cancel my much-needed medical visit. After waiting an hour to attempt to see the doctor I left. As I was leaving the front area, I suggested to the Receptionist, to please have the doctor call me that evening, or as soon as possible to discuss the missed appointment. Well, here we are June 20, and to date Dr. Mitra has not called me to discuss what occurred in her office on May 27. This has left me wondering how much Dr. Mitra really cares about her patient(s) or is she more interested in charging your insurance that in providing careful care to her patients, or perhaps she was never advised that I had left a message requesting I wanted to speak with her. That would be the worst part the attitude of the staff, mainly Sandy Haglock, who is passive aggressive and very bad at handling any complaint you may have without turning it into a personal attack. Yes, I do have other incidents from this office, but, I think this can wrap it up as to who is managing Dr. Mitra's office. Oh Yeah! upon me contacting the billing office, Ms. Hally & I researched the payment in question, it turns out that Dr. Mitra's office will have to credit me $188.00 because, evidently, the problem had nothing to do with me. It was a billing error made by the Insurance Company and Dr. Mitra's office. I already received a call from the Insurance company informing me know that the credit has to come from the Drs. office as the insurance company cannot refund me the fee directly. So you see, Sandy Haglock fought and cancelled my appointment in vein without not researching that 2020 payment, to discuss with me as a professional, or asking me what me what my scheduled appointment was about, it makes her an extremely poor manager, with no remorse for the patient(s) read more

I hate to write a bad review, but in this case, it's much deserved. Waited nearly TWO hours past appointment time to be seen. And judging by previous reviews on Yelp and Google, this is the norm. They mailed out all the new patient paperwork and asked us to return it to the office prior to appointment date; which we did. They asked us to show up 30 mins prior to appointment time; which we did. And we STILL did not get seen until almost two hours later. The parking lot was full and the waiting room was packed; therefore some patients were left standing. Very disrespectful of everyone's time. Additionally, the facility is very dirty. The exams rooms are in desperate need of sprucing up; which is surprising because the building itself appears to be relatively new. They didn't even have paper over the exam table so you could see all the scuff marks, stains, etc. The bathroom was dirty. In addition, even her staff does not maintain professional appearance -- greasy hair & sloppy attire. They honestly looked like they just woke up and headed straight into work. When I called to make the initial appointment, I was put on hold for quite some time -- this should have been a red flag. And since I've decided Dr. Mitra is not the physician for me, I called to cancel my follow up appointment and was put on hold for quite some time...again. If the (lack of) cleanliness of the office and (lack of) professionalism with staff is any indication of physician care, then I don't see how she stays in business. read more

Dr. Mitra has been my Primary for 10 years. She is the best primary I have ever had. She is very on top of things, helpful, caring, hospitable, and just all around awesome in every way. I used to be terrified of going to the doctors, not any more. Also Sandy her office manager+ April her receptionist are fantastic. All of them combined make a great team. I always feel hears and that my needs are met, in fact they go above and beyond. For excellent help from a doctor +her staff see doctor Mitra. I will say up front that I am not a patient of Dr. Mitra's but my grandmother is. My grandmother is suffering from dementia. I called her just to catch up and she was very confused about her doctor taking leave for a month, with go guidance or referrals to her patients while she took a leave of absence. I honestly thought that surely my grandmother was confused. I called today to get more information and the EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional receptionist (Working today Wednesday July 15 at 3:30pm) confirmed that the dr had indeed taken a leave of absence that started the first of the month. In lieu of offering any solutions, recommendations or explanations the receptionist snapped at me telling me that "Dr. Mitra was a person too... and needs to take time off." I can only assume by her prompt attitude and wildly inappropriate reaction I am not the first to call very confused. Well no $h!t she's a person but that still does not seem to me that taking time off without any notification and preparation for her patients other than going to urgent care or the emergency room (both of which have the possibility of not being covered by insurance) is NOT the professional route. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Mitra for years and it is only now that I will write a 4 star review. Dr. Mitra is awesome. She is extremely thorough and very pleasant. The other reviews on her staff are accuate BUT that staff member has left. Agreed she was rude and each time I called I prayed I'd get the "nice" one. The medical assisant could use some work. Sometimes she's nice and sometimes she isn't. My BIGGEST issue with the office and assistant is when she goes over your medication history there is NO PRIVACY and she is loud about it. Perhaps she should just have you look at her computer screen and ask if the medication is the same instead of rambling to anyone in ear shot what medication one is on. A private room for this to be discussed would even be better. To break it down I rate Dr Mitra 5 stars, her current front staff 5 stars and her MA 1 star read more

When you need someone on your side, Dr. Mitra is NOT that person. At times you may need your Dr. for things that happen outside the medical office. When my mother had a car accident last year, Mitra's office would not see her and instead sent her to a hack chiropractor, the last thing she needed with a spinal fracture. This year when mom needed her to provide very basic information for her assisted living facility in another state, Mitra again refused to help out. My mother was a patient of hers for 15 years. She is caring, personable, accurate, and makes appropriate referrals for all healthcare specialists for complex heath issues to ensure an excellent patient centered care team. Dr. rarely touches patient, such as listening to heart etc. Office overbooks so long wait time and since the staff is overworked they can be rude, vindictive, and cruel. My pharmacy called in depression medication several times until finally leaving me a message. I called 9:30 a.m. Friday morning and they refused, because it would break their 48 hr. call ahead rule. I was without medication over the weekend, called again Monday at 9 and because they were miffed they waited until the end of the day, finally sending it to the wrong pharmacy. In 37 years of going to doctors I have never been treated so badly. This doctor and staff have no empathy. read more

Dr. Mitra is fantastic. Very thorough and won't send out for unneccesary testing. Really listens to you when you have concerns and also very easy to book a sameday or asap appointment. Her office staff including receptionist and MA don't seem really friendly. They could use some work on customer service but I keep going back because the doctor is so good. I feel like she really enjoys her job and cares for her patients. Good office to get established with if you relatively healthy and just need yearly check ups. read more

Staff was very rude, waited over an hour and a half from my appointment time to see the doctor. Once I saw Dr. Mitra for a few minutes we were interrupted by her staff so I never even had any quality one on one time. It was very rushed and then was told I needed an EKG and since they didn't have the space sent me out into the general waiting area, called me up to the window and discussed all of my medications and procedures where everyone around me could hear! I was rushed into a room to do an EKG and then rushed back out and never went over the results. Again, the entire staff needs an attitude adjustment, they were all very rude and HIPPA violations galore! read more
