I have no idea how they check to make sure everyone is out of the building at the end of the day. There were lots of flea markety items, used clothing, collectibles, tools, furniture and more. The initial impression of the store was an incredible stench which seemed to be coming from birds in a birdcage or a nearby restaurant - not sure which, but it was awful. Fortunately (or maybe not so fortunately), after a few minutes in the store I was accustomed to it. They do have an upstairs but my companion said not to waste my time going up because it was mostly kids' clothes. I did hear a lady working here mention more booths opening upstairs in the future, however.

Small yet very nice antique shop. This is not a treasure trove of super low priced knick knacks or…read moreflea market items. It is a down to Earth take on fancy antique stores, where most items have a real story behind them and are authentic, true antique pieces. Because of this you may get sticker shock at times but it's worthwhile. These people clearly know their merchandise and I would feel confident making even a larger purchase here. Bonus points for the cute sweet kitty, Luna, who is always in the shop on our visits.

I hate giving it a low star rating because I've found great items here at affordable prices and the staff is always friendly. But the hours and frequent closed days make it difficult to visit for out of towners or those who work Monday through Friday. My husband recently came in and found a half dozen pairs of pants that he would like to have purchased, but he needed to try them on and this store's signs state no dressing rooms (on the actual dressing room doors, no less). So I cannot go higher than 3 stars. Also, if you visit during their open hours and it looks closed, it's probably because they're using only the back door for entry now (as of July 2019).

The guy running it back then was completely scary. Things have changed a lot and all seemingly for the better. It's a very different store, still offbeat but a lot more like you expect from a mall store and less like a poorly run head shop. For me that's a positive. I know not everyone agrees. The staff has been extremely helpful and friendly on all of my visits in the past several years, and I've found some very fun & unique accessories and even a couple of home decor items, although my tastes don't run much to bohemian styles they do have quite a range. It is a fun place for gift shopping and they have some excellent sales from time to time, making for far better bargains than at slightly similar novelty shops in the mall.

They sell baked goods- the smell of cinnamon rolls while browsing was intoxicating! My husband and I browsed for two hours, it didn't feel like two hours! So many booths, so many treasures! If you're traveling through, or if you live even an hour or more away, this place is completely worth a visit. Their staff is super friendly, the place was clean (did I mention the smell of cinnamon rolls in the air?!). It's cute on the outside and doesn't really look like a thrift store but fits in more with Route 66 nostalgia of the area. Once inside, it's about the size of a roomy two car garage or perhaps the family room in a large private home. Not a lot to see, really. They have pretty dated merchandise and pricing is a simple scheme where almost every item is the same price. So with that, you can find some amazing deals and then a lot of things that are not quite worth the price. It's a wash, really. I saw an ad for this store in a local magazine and I think my expectations were a bit too high going in. It's not bad. Currently they're open Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm, so hurry over if you're not a Baxter Springs resident and want to check it out. I think they're open most (if not all) weekdays, too.
