Really? This is a store correct? Things on shelves/in cases are for sale correct? The strange thing is last year my husband was at the check-out with a vintage board game he had found on the shelf (with a price tag mind you) and the EXACT same thing happened, lady looked at it and said "oh we can't sell this" It appears that if an employee notices something a customer has that they want then suddenly they 'can't sell it' Very very bad way to run (and also ruin) a business. The other location is great but workers on 7th street....SHADY.

This place wasn't bad. They close pretty early on Saturdays so I've missed out a time or two in…read morethe past...not sure of their exact hours so you may need to check with them directly. Anyway, this is a dark and dusty store but decently organized. The workers were nice and I'd guess they are all volunteers. The day I went it was a bag sale, everything you could fit into a plastic bag for a buck (with a few exceptions like books). As a result, the store was quite busy and a bit empty but I still found plenty of very decent items to stuff into a bag and upon getting everything home I liked almost all of it. So I'd definitely be back. This store seemed to have the best selection of men's shirts, women's shirts and pants, and jackets/coats on my visit and it seemed that the merchandise tends to be outdated but fairly priced.

It's cute on the outside and doesn't really look like a thrift store but fits in more with Route 66 nostalgia of the area. Once inside, it's about the size of a roomy two car garage or perhaps the family room in a large private home. Not a lot to see, really. They have pretty dated merchandise and pricing is a simple scheme where almost every item is the same price. So with that, you can find some amazing deals and then a lot of things that are not quite worth the price. It's a wash, really. I saw an ad for this store in a local magazine and I think my expectations were a bit too high going in. It's not bad. Currently they're open Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm, so hurry over if you're not a Baxter Springs resident and want to check it out. I think they're open most (if not all) weekdays, too.
