Awesome news until you have to get any form of work done. It was rumoured that the Lighthouse had WiFi and I had no choice in the matter. Found between the bridge to the US and Mallorytown Landing, the Lighthouse has long been a place that campers and locals would come to for necessities and the elements of civilization. The WiFi isn't the only indication that they've stepped up their game. Firstly, there's a gas station if your car or boat happen to have been caught out. You're also able to camp there. They are a registered campground and you're more than welcome to stay over. They have all the tuck shop faves such as cold drinks, snacks, maps, newspapers, and probably the tastiest coffee in Mallorytown (which admittedly may be the equivalent of being the best hockey team in Dubai, but it is good stuff and it isn't Tim Horton's). You're also able to grab a sandwich that's made daily (or made to order if you ask nicely) and homemade soup that is also made daily. Not hungry? They also offer a movie rental service that is as current as most independently owned movie stores. Oh, and if you're thirsty, they're also a fully licensed LCBO that has for its size a great selection of beer, wine, and sprits. After I was done stealing their WiFi, I was able to buy tins of Sapporo, Grolsch, Gösser, and a bottle of Casillero Del Diablo's 2007 Shiraz. Not bad at all for a campground.

I go to Stewart's shops quite often and most of the time, staff and customer service are pretty great. The store in Lyon's Falls is an exception. Very rarely do I have a good experience here. I will come back every so often, but it doesn't get any better. The staff here do not care. No one greets you, no one is at a register unless there is a line, whatever the staff are working on is way much more important than you and your purchases, if you ask for assistance you get a ton of attitude. You also get the staff who are really chatty with each other and can't pause their conversation long enough to ring up a customer. Again, if you ask for assistance, you get a ton of attitude. Maybe it is the manager, maybe it's the location. Maybe both. All I know is that this store almost always frustrates me, and I avoid it now

We did head inside to find a tourist item, which is where they were lacking. We later were told that Love's has that kind of thing. They did have other trinkets and toys. The layout of the store was a bit messy, and the way the centre kiosk where the staff are stationed is raised up makes interacting a bit strange. The staff themselves were all quite cheerful and helpful. They have all kinds of food, drinks, and personal items available. It really is a large store. The gas prices were relatively good, which was the main thing. Wouldn't have any hesitation stopping here again.

I have been coming to this location for years for gas and snacks. I often arrive here late at…read morenight, and this place can't be beat when I need a quick grocery item or a cold drink after a long drive. The ice cream counter is reasonably priced and there is almost always a sale going on for cones or milkshakes. The ice cream flavors are made by Stewart's and range from classic to unique, my favorites being Fireworks (vanilla with cherry swirl, red and blue pop rocks) and Happy Camper (s'mores). You can also take their ice cream home in half gallons or pints. Stewart's also makes its own brand of drinks - soda, seltzer, iced tea, juice, and in recent years, Keurig cups. Hot coffee and prepared foods like sandwiches, pizza, and baked goods are always available. The best part of this location is that in decades of coming here, I have never had a cashier or counter person that wasn't friendly. You can't say that about too many convenience stores!

This particular employee has the sides of her head shaved short and longer in the middle. I only say this because, while I understand people have bad days, I think this particular individual needs a hug, based on her attitude. But life goes on and Stewart's Ice cream is pretty much amazing so I'll still be back
