Icey and Pricey, so Perhaps Grilled Meat is in Order?
Stuck in the middle of cash and carry land and car wash central, Sugar Rush glistens, tempts and beckons. It's pretty busy for the Pollockshields locale with ice cream and waffles the main event. And with Red Pepper Grill attached, kebabs, chips and burgers were in high demand too.
So we stopped and decided on a double cone, both opting for belgian chocolate and kulfi (Indian spiced condensed milk). Supplied by equi's the ice cream wasn't too bad, but a little icey. It was pretty pricey too at £2.95 for a double. Hmmmm, I think we'll stick to Big Licks or Nardini's for gelato.
However, the kebabs from the Red Pepper counter looked pretty good and we picked up a menu for next time. Served with bread, chilli and salad from the self service deli they looked pretty tempting especially the seekh kebab. And unlike the ice cream they looked good value at £5.90 for a large double seekh. With a whole host of grilled meat and veg on offer, we'll be back for a sample soon! ;-) read more
