I have been going to Sugarlime for my wax for at least 5 years now and Luciana is the Goat!!! She is literally my unpaid monthly therapist at this point. She is so nice and professional. I really wanted to get my eyebrows tinted and my lashes lifted for the first time before a trip I took in December, but everywhere was booked until I found Sugarlime, which I appreciated. The lady who did it for me was Violet who seemed like a lovely person, but.. she did not speak English. And the thing is, I wouldn't have minded that, had I known. We couldn't used google translate back and forth or something and it wouldn't have been a big deal. However I didn't realize it until she was already getting started and could not answer any of my questions. This would not have really mattered, except I could not communicate what I was looking for with the lash lift or brows. And the lash part was terrifying because my eyes were essentially glued shut while being "permed". It burned a little and I couldn't really say anything, I didn't know if it was normal or I was going to go blind or what. And again, this was my first time. I did tell the person when I booked appointment it was my first time. Not sure if you can tell from the photos, but there was a section of my lashes that kind of had a gap in them. They ended up "unfurling" eventually. The finished look was ok, but not a great experience for me. I just have to be honest in my reviews. read more

I visited for the first time and took advantage of a groupon for a Brazilian Wax. I was thoroughly impressed by the clean and fresh studio. I received a nice warm welcome and they took a temporal scan as a COVID precaution. Jessica was the one who provided my service, and she was AMAZING! So friendly and kind and made me feel super comfortable and confident throughout the whole procedure. She also had a TV in her suite that was playing Friends, so it helped to have something funny to watch to keep me distracted through the not-so-pleasant waxing process. I really like this place; it's clean, and the staff are friendly, pleasant, and well-trained. However, I'm giving 3 stars because of my last experience. I had booked a sugaring session for my upper legs, but the professional, Luciana, said she didn't have the arm strength to perform the sugaring, so she ended up using wax instead. I agreed to wax since sugaring wouldn't have been done properly. Unfortunately, I was still charged for sugaring, which is more expensive, and I only noticed this on my receipt later in my email. So I have to be 100% honest.. this is the BEST wax experience I've EVER had. Why? Because they care!!! Our vagina area as women is very important and we need specialists who will take the time out to understand and apply accurately. I've been sugaring at Sugarlime for about a year now and I will neverrrrrr go back to anything else (sugaring is NOT for the weak, it does hurt more than regular wax). BUT, sugaring is much better for the skin because it removes and exfoliates hair simultaneously. I also really REALLY like my wax lady Adriana. We've formed a great relationship and she's very helpful. I use to have nightmares at European wax center but I've NEVER had a bad experience here. PRICES ARE GREAT!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BOOK WITH ADRIANA UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES !!!!!!!!!!!! I hardly ever post reviews, but in this instance I had to. I bought a groupon for this salon for a lash lift and tint. I went into the appointment and Adriana did a great job (just wait for the drama). While checking out, the owner's husband was at the front with the receptionist. He asked how my service went and I told him I was very happy. He asked if I wanted to re-book for 6 weeks from now and I told him that the price without the groupon is a little steep for me (75 full price, groupon is at $39), he then told me not to worry and he would honor the groupon's price for me at my next visit. I thanked him and assured him I would re-book when I was ready to come back. After 6 weeks, I went to re-book. I texted their convenient text message service that the receptionist attends to. She booked my appointment and I reiterated to her that I was not willing to pay the full amount and if that was.a problem to let me know.. I specifically asked her to double check with the owner and get back to me if there was a problem. I never heard from her, so I went into my appointment today. I got my lashes done and as usual they look great. When I was checking out, she stated it would be $75 dollars. I told her that the owner had told me otherwise and to please check with them. The owner was there at the time and she told the receptionist to honor the groupon price. I tipped 25% and I left as a happy customer. BUT THEN.. I am driving home and I get a long nasty text message from Adriana.. she tells me not to ever rebook with her and that if I want to come in I can see someone else. She said that because I paid the groupon price, she would not be doing my eyelashes any more due to the fact she receives a percentage of the service. She said It was unfair to her. I understand that she is there to earn a living, however it was highly unprofessional to text me a paragraph like that meanwhile I didn't do anything other than accept a discount that was offered to ME. I didn't haggle with the owner and I didn't insist on special treatment. I called the owner (who is very sweet) and told her how Adriana had texted me telling me not to rebook with her, as I figured this was something she would want to know about. She first was shocked due to the fact that Adriana shouldn't have my number anyway and that it isn't okay for her to text with clients directly. She also told me that she is very sorry that it had happened this way. It is unfortunate that Adriana did this as the salon owner's were so kind to me and I was excited to have found a good salon. Although the owner insisted I should return, I won't be. I even recommended the salon to many friends and family as I was happy with the results. I 'll be telling each of them individually about this experience because I truly don't like to be treated so unprofessionally and disgracefully. I have never in my life been told not to return to a stylist. I build long lasting relationships with all the stylists I see and the fact that she would go off on me rather than the owners is extremely strange and simply not cool. I would give this business 5 stars had this whole issue with Adriana not come up. I gave 4 stars simply because the business did not do anything wrong to me, it was a specific employee and that is not fair to effect their overall yelp rating due to one crappy employee. I really hope they consider replacing her or at the very least disciplining her so that this doesn't happen to other clients. If you do decide to go to sugarlime, don't bother booking with Adriana unless you plan on giving a fake phone number. She clearly has no issue texting her clients long and aggressive messages lol I would NOT recommend this business (unless Adriana finds new employment) read more

While I give a 5 tar I would rate my Brazilian wax a solid B. I had Fran and she was super kind. She made me feel comfortable and checked to make sure the wax wasn't too hot. There was no double dipping and the room was very clean. She did a good job The only reason I give a B is because of some hairs that were left. Some were stubborn hairs but I did find some hair in the back if you know what I mean. If I lived closer I would consider going back, and still might because they have a student discount which I appreciate. read more

I made an appointment online. I was called and asked to switch to Sunday since they were closed on Monday. Not a big deal at all. Then today on Sunday (my rescheduled appointment was at 3pm) I receive a call at 11am asking me to come in within the hour otherwise they cannot do my wax..... I live over 30 minutes away and couldn't make it in time anyway. I have company coming so I cannot reschedule during the week. I am bummed that this experience was not as great as my last and that I won't be able to be waxed before my company comes!
