Alessandro is the owner of the villa and he has to be one of the nicest people I have ever met. He really made it feel like we were staying with family. In fact, I don't think my family could have treated us as well as Alessandro did. He's just an all around genuine person who really cares about making sure his guests feel at home. The accommodations were very much to our liking. Spacious room, comfortable bed, and a large bathroom on the second level. Downstairs was the dining room and the food served at the villa was simply amazing. It's been a month since we left Italy and we have yet try having eating Italian food here. Part of the reason is because I know it can't possibly measure up to Alessandro's menu. My wife commented that she was ruined for pasta unless we go back. There's just no comparison to the pasta dishes we eat here in the U.S because the freshness and quality at the villa was as good as it can possibly get. The home made tiramisu was a slice of heaven, too. I'll never forget it. It is a place you can bring your kids as we saw other couples with their kids. This was our honeymoon so the kids were at home. The pool wasn't ready for use while we were there but come in June and it would like be open. No shortage of towns to visit that are nearby. Our favorite was Cortona, especially at night. Alessandro has plenty of recommendations if you are not sure of where you'd like to go. He even let me borrow his bike for a ride in the countryside and took my wife and I for a short drive to see the surrounding countryside during one of our first days there. This was one of the best travel experiences we could have hoped for and it is our hope we can travel back to this beautiful Tuscan countryside villa for another stay. Also, if you are a local or passing through, be sure to reserve a table for dinner. You'll be glad to you did!!

Were were told it would not be a problem (because it was weeks in advance) and were quoted a price of 25 Euros per person. As we arrived at the tasting a new email was received informing us that it would be an additional 15 per person for the food. We didn't have much of a choice, we had just traveled two hours and I had well over 20 people sitting on a bus in their parking lot. The food ended up being pathetic and way over priced. They did end up lowering the price of the food, but it was still to high and not what we were quoted. Not that I expect/deserve/earned it, but of the 12 wine tastings I have taken large groups to, this is the only one that has not given me (the host) complementary bottles as a thank you. Again, it is not something that I paid for, but after my group bought 10? cases of wine in addition to the 1000 euros for the tasting.....it would have been a nice gesture. Tenuta Torciano ended up being a better option. It was acheaper experience, with lots of real food, wonderful interactions with the wine steward, and great wines!

The property is exceptional, though due to attention to signage as it can be somewhat tricky to locate. After the tour we were offered tastings of a number of Brunello vintages, Rosso, Grappa and the exceptional olive oil pressed on the premises. We enjoyed the wine so much we had a case shipped home. I would like to note that the Brunello prices were on the lower end of what we found in Montalcino, similarly the shipping rate was the lowest we were offered during our two week stay in the region. We highly recommend a visit.

I was very impressed by the beautiful villa and its proximity to town and by the organization of the excursions. Our room was large with amazing views from the windows. Each room has an ensuite bathroom and there is a lovely shared patio outside overlooking a wonderful outdoor pool and the famous tuscan landscape. Our group dinners in the villa were prepared by a local chef on site and included wine brought personally by local wine makers. This trip is a great value and definitely one I would do again.
