Review from a freaky dog mom: I needed to board my lab, he's not been boarded while I've had him (he's a rescue) I have spoiled all of my dogs including the one I have now I had little anxiety boarding my lab but suite life provided great care He went to daycare during the day to have play time outside They provided daily updates via email Have him a bath prior to his pick up day I did take his bed, a blanket with his smells on it from home, and his food/meds. I did choose the largest suite given his size Would definitely use them again I also started him a month prior to boarding date going to day care half days 2-3 times a week which I think really helped Staff are all good that I've encountered So for any freaky dog parents like me it's been a good experience read more

After reading 4 other reviews and BBB COMPLAINTS about Suite Life Pet Resort after what one of my dogs went through and the way my dogs would react when I dropped each one of them for grooming and after the way I was treated by the staff for just asking asking a question I will NEVER RECOMMEND Suite Life again. It took one dog 8 months to get over what ever really happened to him & 3 vet visits. They told me he jumped off a table. This company should be investigated. My other dogs acted like "please don't leave me here!!" I don't think these people have any business taking care of animals. They should give it up while they are ahead. read more

I would just like to make everyone aware of a situation that happened involving not only my pup, but potentially other pets who have been in the care of Suit Life Pet Resort. My dog went in Thursday for a microchip installation and grooming. When she came home, she was noticeably not herself. She had a hard line around her head that appeared consistent with being restrained, as well as irritation/cuts underneath her arms. I cannot say for certain when or how the cuts occurred, as they may have been present beforehand and become more noticeable after grooming. However, no one brought any injuries or concerns to our attention when we picked her up. What concerned me most was the apparent level of restraint used on her. In my opinion, the restraint was excessive and unacceptable. After coming home, she was extremely out of it and not acting like herself. That evening, she began vomiting and repeatedly shaking her head back and forth. I took her to the veterinarian to have her evaluated and treated. I also stopped by Suit Life to calmly ask what had happened while she was in their care and why she had apparently been restrained to that extent. I have been taking my dogs there every four weeks for approximately two years, and this was our first negative experience. Unfortunately, instead of having a calm and professional conversation about my concerns, the manager became extremely rude and told me, "I don't know what you did to your own dog after you left here!!" I was shocked by that response. I came in looking for answers and hoping we could have an adult conversation about what happened while my dog was in their care. Before we could have that discussion, I was told they no longer wanted to do business with me. I can assure you, after this experience, I will not be returning either. I was also threatened with the sheriff being called simply because I disagreed with her accusation and continued trying to discuss my concerns. I have since contacted Animal Services, and I was informed that they already have an open investigation involving a similar situation that reportedly occurred approximately two weeks prior. I am not making any claims about that situation because I was not personally involved, but I do believe people should be aware and make their own decisions about where they take their pets. Everyone has different experiences and opinions about businesses and services, and I completely understand that. This is simply my experience, and I feel it is important to share because our pets cannot tell us what happened to them when they are out of our care. Please be careful about where you leave your pets and don't be afraid to ask questions if something doesn't seem right. At the very least, I believe pet owners should be able to calmly voice concerns and have a professional conversation about what happened to their animal while in someone else's care. I sincerely hope no other pet or pet owner has to go through what we experienced. read more

Had to wait for a grooming appointment for 3 weeks, then had to be there before 9 am only to find out they lost my reservation. No "I'm sorry, let me try to work you in," nothing. You're just SOL. How do you lose a reservation? read more

We left my cat there for a few days while we went out of state. When we picked him up his kitty Taxi was full of pee. His kitty litter box looked like it had not been cleaned in days! So disappointing. We felt there had been no interaction with him. If that's the case we might as well have left him home alone! read more

I'm giving it a 2 star rating and not recommending this place, however it might be the best thing around the area so if you're in dire need you might have to go there. I needed to board my dog while in Abilene for my daughter's graduation so I went with what seemed like the best choice last minute. Staff was borderline unfriendly when checking in and out, as well as when I called to check on my dog during her stay. She seemed somewhat traumatized by the experience and within 48 hours of picking her up she had a full blown case of a stomach bug with bloody diarrhea. Overall an unpleasant experience. read more

We have used Suite Life for several years. We use them for boarding, grooming and their vaccines clinics. However, the last few times we boarded there, we have had nothing but issues. There have been two incidents that led to our dog being injured and even required veterinary care. It's very disheartening to get that call when you're 1,000 miles away. We have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but we have continued to have issues. I'm not sure what has changed in the last year within their company, but it has gone downhill and I would not recommend! read more

Pros: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value Cons: None Max has been a guest for 4 nights and I believe he was very well taken care of. The facility is clean, pet rooms are spacious and the staff is so friendly. He got playtime daily and seemed to be quite happy. I also had him groomed (standard poodle) during his stay and I am extremely pleased with the service. I have taken him for grooming many times since then. I highly recommend this pet resort. This facility took fantastic care of our dogs while we were on vacation. I've boarded our pets at several different kennels and vets in different cities. It was normal to pick up two very nervous and stresssed dogs. However, when we picked the dogs up from Suite Life, the dogs seemed rested and happy. The daily report card pics let us enjoy our vacation knowing our pets were being well taken care of. I would highly recommend Suite Life Pet Resort and Spa. read more

We decided to board our 5 rescue fur babies while we were on vacation for a week. The name describes it! They had their own suite with a private dog run. The facility where the dog suites are is so clean and is air conditioned. The staff is over the top kind and accommodating. We were sent an email daily giving us an update on our babies and how much they ate etc. This is a fabulous place to keep your dogs. I felt they were safe at Suite Life and cared for. read more

I have a very energetic standard poodle who loves coming for a day or two at Suite Life whenever we visit Abilene. He spends the entire day romping with the other big dogs, alternating indoors and outdoors depending on heat and weather. The dogs are always well-supervised; bullying and too-rough play aren't allowed. He's excited when we arrive, happy and tired when I pick him up. This place is SO much better than a typical boarding facility where the dogs are in "solitary" most of the time, let outside for a few minutes a couple of times a day, and never allowed to interact with the others. I wish there was a facility half as good as Suite Life a little closer to home! read more

We have been a customer since 2016. For 4 yrs, there are times we will just checked him in for a few days, but there was a time we were out of the country for 6 weeks. But we trust them with our Buddy. They gave us a good deal & they regularly sent email report card with picture, which gives us peace of mind that our Buddy are enjoying his stay & well taken care off. They also have other services like bath/grooming & low cost vaccination every Thursday. This place & all the staff are awesome. read more

Have used this place for years. We had a reservation where we leave Monday and they call Saturday morning before telling us we need to get a shot for our dog. Last minute call and 0 help on where to get the shot needed. Horrible experience the last two times we have used them. Not sure what has happened to the management at this place but maybe they need to reconsider who is running this place. read more

I sent my dog there for grooming - just a shampoo and brushing. When I picked him up he had been sheared! When I asked why that had been done The groomer said she really didn't have a choice and that I should be managing his grooming better. To make matters worse, he had about an 8 inch area under his neck from one ear to the other side of just raw red skin with lesions. Even after two weeks he's still got scabs. I tried to contact the owner but he has still not called me back. For the record, I've had previous excellent services here. But I will not return. read more
