This review has nothing to do with in-store shopping. TJ MAXX & MARSHALLS has changed the set-up of…read moreits on-line shopping experience which is AWFUL! It's small, 4 columns of merchandise which cannot be completely viewed if using a mobile device. Macy's has now regained my online shopping which is much more convenient and offers in-store pickup.

My cousin and I were trying to enjoy a nice shopping day. Personally, I love TJ Max cute clothes…read moreand good vibes, except today was different... whoever was working today, March 13, 2026, at the dressing rooms was the rudest person I have ever met at a clothing store in my life. She was short with a bob like bobs are for baddies not mean people. For starters she snatched the clothes from me, proceeded to not talk at all, she did not say you're welcome when I thanked her for her help, and had major attitude. Secondly, this is most likely company policy but why do we count items that are a set or connected to eachother as two things? It's not my choice that they're stuck together and it's a pain to try on anyways. I only ever want one piece out of the two and sometimes there will be one item on a hanger then at checkout it's suddenly supposed to be a set so I offer to pay full price and I can't get it??? Ridiculous. Back to the story, When I reached my ten item limit I still had more clothes and the lady shoved an item back in my hands and in the rudest way told me to leave it in my cart. When we asked to exchange things in our cart that we'd rather try on first to not make two trips she said NO, like what was the point of saying no are you genuinely that mean? I wish I was the only person this happened to but the lady also slammed down another girls shorts on a chair. I understand policy and not exceeding the limit but be kind about explaining it, I don't work there! Especially if we count sets as two separate items then they should be sold SEPARATELY. Unfortunately that's not all, what really took the cake was the fact that when I got out of the dressing room the woman took all of the things in my cart and hung them up after she told me I had to leave them. Imagine the utter shock on my face when my cart disappeared... I'm not at TJ magic show! The lady wanted to make my cart and clothes disappear... well I have a trick it's called KINDNESS. Tj max alone and every other worker there deserves a 5 star but consider your employees and maybe work on how we treat other people and customer service. I hope my review doesn't affect the GOOD employees or the clothes I so adore, but seriously 2 stars was generous.

Clean, big aisles but also very big boxed store. Hard to…read moreknow where to start to shop. Women's to the right, men's and shoes to the left. Back wall is Childrens and infants clothing and goods Spacious but again not easy to find what you need. I was looking for a rain jacket, they use to be known for outer wear but no longer. This was like a huge but not as nice Marshalls. Prices were low but also was quality of clothing. I felt like I was in Kmart again. This use to be a Kmart remember? No frills feel reminded me of the new Goodwill stores but just a notch higher w the smell Even Walmart has better clothing. Guess I'm not returning but you may enjoy this downgraded shopping experience

Came into the store looking for a suit case. Found one very cute, however all the suit cases there…read morewere very dusty due to work being done at the store (understandable). The one I chose out of all the others was the ONLY one I would've chosen regardless. I have a trip tomorrow morning so on my break from work I took advantage of coming to buy another suit case. Did not have time to shop around at other stores. The one I ended up choosing I liked the most out of their limited options. I checked it out & seen it had a few scratches, the wheels looked used amongst other little things. I brought this to the attention of the cashier (which was very lovely btw) and asked if I can possibly get a discount being that the item is not up to par, the cashier called over a lady named Elizabeth not sure of her position, she barley looked at the suite case said it's dusty cause of the work being done in a not so friendly tone. And just all around was not very friendly. She then seen I guess their manager Greg which same thing barley even looked at the suit case. Didn't even look at me in the face & said its dusty cause of the work they are doing, which again (understandable) I was also pointing out the scratches & hardware issues which he didn't even look twice at and stated nope we not issuing a discount (said this while walking away & proceeded to get on the phone). Which is fine, i didn't come here for a discount but doesn't hurt to ask. Especially because clearly the item is NOT up to par! I came here on a fast tip and had no choice but to buy it. Don't think it was worth the value of $70 but oh well. The experience, professionalism & attitude from Greg and Elizabeth was not it for me. Very disappointing.
