The attention to detail, the quality of the work- it is unbeatable. They put in a new French drain system and properly sealed the entire basement, creating additional living space for our teen girls.They replaced all the uneven floors and made the entire home not only much more functional- but breathtakingly gorgeous. The problem is then the left the house unfinished, never completing it. Six months later- their electrical work caused a house fire. When he arrived he explained a pipe burst at Home Depot and he was working. Would've been helpful context. (Later, we found out from a more reputable plumber he wasn't working there...he was just trolling around). He put a huge hole in our wall under our sink, explained how the work was going to be extensive and require a granite specialist to evaluate because he had to remove the kitchen cabinets and it could possible destroy our kitchen counters as well. We were told it was going to cost thousands. This was on a Thursday (two days before New Year's Eve) and he told us the pipes were all connected to our upstairs bathroom. He explained we couldn't use that bathroom, or the kitchen water (sink, dishwasher, etc) until he came back next week. (Unfortunate as I had a party to cook/bake for the following day.) While "assessing" he flooded our ceiling in the basement, damaging ceiling tiles that we had literally paid contractors to replace a week before (for an unrelated incident). He also broke a valve under the sink. He also went into our basement bathroom and spit his chew into the toilet right in front of me. And didn't flush. He did this again out my front door before leaving. When he arrived the next day, he came early in the morning and immediately announced to my husband, "I gotta take a piss." He accosted my husband for $225 before he left that day "as a deposit." Something didn't feel right about it, so we called another plumber and they arrived Monday. They fixed the issue almost immediately coming back a second time only to fix the valve that Jason broke and patch the hole in the wall. They informed us that the fix was not only a lot simpler (the pipe still needed replaced but no risk to our cabinets or countertops) but at a fraction of the cost. Also, those pipes weren't connected. We could have used the bathroom that entire time. They also informed us that he's known for being untrustworthy and "a drinker." We never got that deposit back.

He and his crew worked for 2.5 days to completely repair the lines and make the home safe for my son and his family. They were punctual, professional and respectful to the home using booties and cleaning up throughout the project. I contacted Corrie E Palmer about simple handyman jobs around my house and Corrie E Palmer deceived me by basically pretending to be his father who is the drywall and plaster repair contractor. Wilbur Palmer returned my phone calls quickly, he showed up on time to quote me the work that I wished to have done. Very knowledgeable about his work and works efficiently. He is the type of person that you could trust in your home. Don't get these two Mr. Palmers confused like I did and get swindled like I did by Corrie E Palmer. They are nothing alike. Wilbur Palmer is the one you want to hire! His costs are very reasonable and he works quickly. Garrett did such an amazing job on our basement! He'd previously helped us out with a quick…read moredoorframe replacement when we were on a super short deadline for listing our old house so when our basement bathroom had a sewage backup that wrecked the bathroom subfloor, vanity, drywall, etc, we called him up. Then a couple weeks later, yet another sewage disaster turned the job into a much larger project with redoing all the flooring in the entire basement and more drywall, plus two doors, frames, molding, etc. It was such a nightmare at first but Garrett did a wonderful job making it all right for us. The bathroom is so much better and it's a lovely classic style so we won't have to do a basement reno any time soon! The flooring is beautiful throughout.
