The actual driving instruction was good and the instructor pointed out things to avoid (mainly other bad drivers) to prevent getting into an accident. He also took her around the DMV testing course so she will be prepared when she was eligible to test. The instructor, however, did not teach how to follow/read the signs to exit, etc. when on the parkway or main highways. He just told her where to go--there wasn't a "game plan" that they followed when they got in the car. (We are going to Clifton today and will go over x, y & z, for instance). One night instruction over a weekend was scheduled and the instructor didn't show up; when called and texted, there was no answer. When asked about it the next scheduled lesson, he said he told my daughter there was a possibility he wouldn't come and would text her if he WOULD come. No other night lesson was scheduled and she finished the lessons. Now, a month later I'm trying to contact them to find out which DMV course was practiced and I cannot get a hold of the instructor. I was told he would call last night, but he didn't and when I called today all they say is he "probably" took her to Franconia. The instructor was not at the location listed on the main number and they would not give me a number to contact him. So, now we will have to go there to see if that is the correct one. This company might be good for teenage instruction, but our experience was less than ideal for the price we paid and customer service and follow-through is not included.

So many driving schools around here got terrible reviews, and there wasn't much on Yelp about this one, so I'm happy to help others who may be in a similar situation find a fantastic driving school. I grew up in NYC and never learned to drive. It absolutely terrified me. You may consider yourself an anxious person, but I was having nightmares for weeks about driving and would wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat about it. Driving seemed like entering a demolition derby where every man was out for himself, and I wanted no part of it. When I first called Titus, I explained this and told him that I wasn't sure I would even be able to drive on the first lesson, if ever, and that he needed to be prepared for me to spend the first hour just sitting in the parked car trying not to have a panic attack. He was cool with this. All good so far. In fact, I did make it out on the road that first time. He explained that I didn't need to worry about messing up because even if I swerved into oncoming traffic or freaked out and lost control of the car, there was no way we would crash because he would use his break pedal and/or take the wheel and we'd be fine. Titus has the perfect temperament for a driving instructor. His voice so calm and reassuring. Every time I would start the lesson sure that I would be driving both of us to certain doom, but by the end of the lesson I was feeling empowered and confident. Just two months ago, I could not have imagined this day: waking up, driving to the DMV, taking the road test, and then passing with no mistakes.
