Refreshing I don't often drink smoothies, but when I do I usually like them (unless they are green). I'm probably not a typical customer. Today I had some time to kill downtown and stopped in. I like tropical frozen drinks and they had one called Tropical Paradise. It has an orange juice base with mango, pineapple, banana, and other things. It looked great and tasted better. I enjoyed it on site, so it came in real glassware. For some of my visit there was just me and a handful of workers, so I didn't pick up on any vibe, but I did like the appearance of the place. Over where the smoothies were made it was black with colorful baskets of fruit, nice contrast, and on the walls were large photos of more colorful fruit. Bricks along one side provided texture, a few pieces of comfortable looking furniture provided style. I did spot a guitar and mic stand and asked, and learned they often have live entertainment on Saturdays. That would certainly provide vibe. I'm glad I stopped in. read more

It was my first trying this place and overall I was impressed. The ambiance of the bar is very good, and a nice space to relax with a smoothie or get a little work done. The menu is varied with a range of juices and smoothies. I went for the blend açaí smoothie which was nice, but the flavor was a little more muted than expected. Next time i think I will ask them to leave the banana out and add a drop of lemon juice to elevate the flavor profile. read more

This is an awesome little spot I discovered last weekend. This place is nicely decorated. I especially love the black wall featuring baskets of colorful fruit to give the place color. It just feels so warm and cozy in there. They have an assortment of fresh pressed juices, smoothies, and other healthy food items that's I can't wait to try! I bought a green smoothie and it was absolutely delicious. Worth every penny! You could see the barista stuffing the blender with all the fruits. It's not really a comparison, but if you like Smoothie King, this place is 100% better and local. They use way more ingredients per smoothie and it's about the same price. read more

It was 100% accurate, besides the fact that I didn't include matcha before the word latte: This place is a perfect example of how hiring the wrong employees can kill the business's reputation. I've been here over a dozen times because I enjoy the healthy menu options and fresh pressed juice. However, I am consistently met with very poor service from the employees. On multiple occasions, I have been met with unwelcoming attitudes, long wait times, and mistakes with my order. On my most recent visit, I ordered a hot MATCHA latte, which wasn't even warm. When I mentioned it to the girl behind the counter, she offered to pour hot water into my cup... It barely increased the temperature of my drink to fairly warm, while also watering it down. Her response was "that's just how we make our lattes". Meanwhile, I know I've had hot matcha lattes there in the past. It's a shame how little the staff cares for the quality of service. *Rather than seeking to remove my completely valid review, it would be nice to see the owner take actual steps to resolve the issues brought up by a regular customer. FYI I am not some Karen who enjoys writing criticisms. The atmosphere was calm and well decorated. I liked the relaxing look of the couch. I had the green avocado and almond berry toast (delicious) you can order half a toast. I can see why this was a recommendation from a friend. Great smoothies, terrible customer service (except when the owner is there.) When the kids are running the show, they couldn't care less. No eye contact. You have to ask them to take your order. They don't acknowledge you when you walk in. They do the bare minimum in terms of customer interaction. The owner, however, is great when she's there. She greets me and smiles. read more

We have been regular customers at Summer Tap for several years now and although we love the food, we are continually disappointed (and often outraged) by the poor attitudes of the workers. Simply put, they are very dismissive and flat out rude (not all but several). They make no attempt to be courteous and friendly and certainly don't bother to smile, welcome you or seem to care one way or the other about you being there or not. We consistently rate the staff below average which is sad because this place has great potential. I guess they're so busy they just don't care about regulars or repeat business. My girlfriend and I were looking for smoothies so we decided on summer tap because it was the closest to our apartment. Free street parking was easy (Sunday noon time) but I could see how it would be hard to get parking on a busier day. I thought the prices were fair and the young staff is friendly. Our smoothie was fresh, flavorful and had good consistency. The wheatgrass shot was better than I've had at other juice places. The picture I posted has a sip or two taken out of the shot glass. The ambiance is pretty and relaxing. It has very beautiful pictures and portraits, wooden accessories, nice tables and stools, and a couch. It also smells very good inside. The service is amazing. The two workers that served us were very nice and understanding when we asked for a refund for one of the drinks they had out of stock. The food was spectacular. We ordered a green juice, Island Papaya smoothie, and Tropical Paradise smoothie, which were all delicious. We also ordered a green avocado and peanut butter berry toast. Great food and amazing açaí bowls; however, Summer Tap is infamous for taking 30 minutes to serve you your food. Even when there were three workers there and the entire restaurant was empty, they took 30 minutes to serve my boyfriend his toast and another 20 to finally give me my toast. The workers have no desire to be swift and get you your food before 10 minutes. Some times my mother and I want to eat at summer tap but then are steered away when we remember it takes forever for this place to get their food out. The food is still amazing, but Summer Tap could really improve with quicker delivery time. read more

First the smoothie was good that's not the issue. No greeting on a Sunday morning, and the place was surprisingly dirty. One girl had her hair loose, so gross- needs to be tied up. Next the tables were not clean. Crumbs and rings from previous customers glasses. Blueberry and greens on the floor. One girl went on her phone when no customers instead of sweeping and cleaning tables. If the outside is like that what is going on where I can't see? The blenders the cutlery? CLEAN THE PLACE! It's very cool in cool Burns Ct. I won't be back unfortunately cause the smoothies are good but there's enough competition I'll go somewhere else. read more
