But saying that - this isn't B&Q or just some rubbish shop just selling plants and trees - it has everything you could want in life and was the perfect place to spend a wet and windy Friday off work with our 2 little kids. Here's the ace points: * A fantastic food hall serving food from local suppliers and so much tasty stuff - in house butchers, bakers etc * Huge Reserve Wines area with great selection of vino on offer * Possibly one of the best craft beer selections to take away - at least 30 different breweries from local to further afield. * 3 great cafes and one specialising in tapas and champagne - PIMP living! *loads of kiddy activities and sand pit etc, great kids toys shop * loads of plants and outdoorsy stuff it that floats your boat... * Good quality coffee - proper sized flat whites... So there you have it - my new favourite place to hang out. You can keep your pretentious hipster joints - I'm hanging out here in future!

They also sell a large range of plant food, various pest killers and fertilisers. They also sell wild bird food and feeders. Outside they have fencing, wooden buildings(various types) loads of planters, decking and patio flags.They have car parking. This is a useful rather than exciting garden centre. This company used to have another branch that recently closed and this branch feels a little cluttered. They used to carry a large range of gifts, candles & cards . They still have some but not much. This garden centre is great for buying plants (particularly out of season)but it is a no frills type of place.

It's a nice place just to have a wander around to be honest, there's far too much and too many things for me to list. It also has good parking, and good disabled access, as well as friendly and helpful staff.

Cushions, candles, smellies etc.... rubbish in my eyes and no need for it in garden centres, but hey I've said all this before. Where my stars have disappeared from this review is the set up for paying. The entrance to the building is also the exit. The door is very small and I had to fight my way through the queue to get in the building - not very inviting. Then when I had picked what I wanted to buy, I joined the queue (which had reduced slightly) and then people just started standing everywhere and I was no longer queuing!! I put my stuff down and left.

This is a very well designed space which feels surprisingly big as you walk around it. There's a good variety of flowers, fruit trees, shade plants and more for sale. There's a gluten free, vegan cafe on site. I saw a sign for vegan hotdogs, cakes and coffee when I was there but didn't sample anything. There's lots of seating at the cafe but also lots of little quiet spots with seating all over the centre. It feels like a community park as much as a business. There's also a 'schoolroom' with hay bales for the students. This place is not the cheapest garden centre but then your money is going to support a community not B & Q shareholders. Also all the plants are organic and in peat free compost.

TL;DR - Good range of products and reasonable prices…read more Since becoming a home owner I've found myself spending more time in garden centres and am very grateful that Newbank is "my local". First up, there's plenty of parking although it can be a bit tight at the weekends are people try and park near the entrance - my tip is just head to the far end of the car park where there's usually space. Upon entering you have to follow a bit of an Ikea-esque route through various kitchenwares and foods, followed by gifts, clothing and cards. There's all sorts here not specifically related to gardens - if you're looking for a gift you might find what you want here. You then come through to the main indoor section, a big area of which is devoted to interiors and decorating, and the rest is a rotating selection based on the season. At Christmas they have a lot here and it's really popular. From there you can pass through to another indoor section which has house plants, animal and plant supplies and tools. The house plant section has really expanded over the last year or so and we've picked up some really unusual plants here for much less than we've seen them on sale elsewhere. Finally you come through to the outdoor area which has a huge selection of both plants and physical objects like fencing and paving. We've pretty much built up our whole garden with supplies we've bought here. You'll also find a "bargain basement" corner for reduced plants which are worse for wear - we've picked up some real bargains here. Finally there's also a restaurant. We've never actually tried it ourselves but it always seems to be busy and people seem to come here specifically for it. All in all, it's a great garden centre. Unfortunately with COVID you can expect to queue as a result, and the Ikea-like route at the start can be a bit frustrating if you're here for something specific for your garden.

Then you go through to candle section with scarfs, bags, cards. general gifts etc Then there's a homeware department - clocks, fake flowers, decorative signs, rugs, vases, outdoor patio furniture & lights, gardening tools & pet supplies. Then outside there's the flowers, trees, tubs, baskets etc There's also a very good restaurant/cafe which serves breakfast, sandwiches, meals & lovely cakes. Well worth a visit, if just to have a wander around.
