I had this company refurbish my lift and move it to my wider slip. I was guaranteed that it would not cost more than their original estimate by Phil Carter. He stood by his word and adhered to the estimate given. He also stood behind the work performed several months after the original repairs. In this day and age that says a lot. I also want to give a shout out to the crew leader, Sean Jeffries. He diligently worked until this job was done correctly and explained the situation. Highly recommend this company!! read more

Had an issue with one of the motors for the boat lift late in the day on July 4th. Called first thing the next day after a holiday weekend and Summerset was able to get a couple guys out and replace the motor and get us back on the water. Great service! Thanks. read more

We purchased a V-bottom lift kit, a new Dura-Tek lift and some Wet Steps. Great customer service and products! Salesmen were very helpful and the installers were knowledgable and hard working. We would definitely recommend this company. read more

Got a call from my boat service center that when they picked up my boat for winter servicing the lift would not go back up. I call Summerset and talked to Phil, they came out promptly and fixed my lift. I had asked them what it would cost and they were able to give me an estimate with an assumption of the probable cause. The invoice came back exactly as estimated (no surprises). They emailed me the bill and I didn't have to make it down to the lake to supervise a solution. Love the easy button. They originally sold me my lift and installed it at our condo at the Palisades. We sold that condo and bought a lake house in Sunrise Beach. Phil at Summerset removed my lift from the condo, took it to their shop and widened it from 12ft to 14ft to fit our dock at the house. Before we closed we discovered the realtor listing was incorrect on the width of the slip and that it was 15Ft. I called Phil and he said the lift was already done but dont worry, they would widen it the additional foot and still be able to install on our delivery date. I also found out the owner of the home had left a lift that that didn't function properly and the tanks were rusting and Phil told me they could remove it at the same time of our install. phil and his staff once again went above and beyond our expectations just like our original lift purchase and install...AWESOME service read more

History

Established in 1982.

Dave & Kathy Brooks began assembling and installing the Galva-Lift brand of boat lifts in 1982. Over the last 29 years, their business has grown to include several family members and some very dedicated employees. Their daughter Angie Schuster and huband, Brian along with Dave's brother, Keith have become a vital part of the business and its daily operations. From the first few lifts that Dave installed in 1982 to all of our current customers, the Galva-Lift continues to be of the highest quality in the boat lift industry. However, our customer service is what sets us apart from all of our competition!

The bathrooms at the pool were also very clean. Afterwards, we decided to order pizza and although it was very close to closing time, James took our order and delivered to our camping site. We had lunch on a rocky beach. The beavers running around the property were funny to watch. Had a great time, very relaxing. Highly recommend, would come back.

He's gonna adjust the valves and should be good. Then says he seen some gunk in my carb but he doesn't think that's why it fails to run and mentions that the intake was partially open, ya know sucking dust directly into the carb. Which my complaint was it ran great then gradually got worse to the point where it didn't start. Doesn't clean carb just leaves my rig disassembled. He then claims it's the stator because my solid spark Doesent look blue enough, and that the stators for these things are really expensive. he looks the part up from his supplier right with me standing there and says oh i guess it ain't bad but ya 200 and something. I said to order it and he says he normally needs money down but since under 300 he's not worried about it. 5 or so days later they request money to order the part. I sent anyway plus the agreed 200 except the part had now got 100.00 more expensive still whatever. There's not a lot of mechanics at the lake so I just sent. Week goes by without hearing anything I contact the wife on their business page she says she has to check and blames the delay on me not sending the money that wasn't requested or required And then says he will be out in the next 2 days. She was then rude and condescending and I called her out on it, then blocks me from the business page of the business I'm dealing with. He eventually text me says the part isn't in from his supplier blaming the post office being shut down. The next week he still claims the part isn't in after some back and forth arguing he sends a snap of a part that's 12.00 range and I respond my part was 12.00. Give a dumb excuse then sends a snap of the estimated delivery of a stator if you order now, not an ordered part. I call him out on that and for the fact he's buy cheap knock pff parts from Amazon and being the only Amazon customer in the world that it takes a month to get what they ordered. I then tell him to refund my money and he says he'll bring my part. I'm not a mechanic and I certainly wouldn't use anything other than oem parts. More back and forth arguing and insults so I leave a review on Google and say if you refund the money for the parts you can keep the original 200 and I'll delete the review. He refused and then had one of his friends leave a negative fake review on my business that he had no affiliation with what so ever. He came to my house and broke my personal machine. And had them leave a review on my business. Then he seen I was bbb accredited and tried to leave a negative review on my bbb page, which they denied. Then later sends me a pic of a stator unpackaged because he didn't want me to see the brand. This guys is lower than low and his wife you see on here is just as bad. For 2 days they kept sending stuff like my birth year and calling me James instead of Jim as if they ciphered some secret code not being smart enough to understand Jim is short for James. Do not do business with these people they just scammers, I'm guessing the positive reviews they have are his buddies being he uses them to post negative reviews on people. Either way this has to be one the most insane experiences I've had at the lake and I've felt with a lot of bad businesses out here

Phil and his team were willing to sacrifice business to help my elderly in-laws from taking a pretty significant financial hit. Marty the service manager convinced me to perform a $1500 service in which I agreed. 10 months later, I went to change the drive oil and the fluid came out milky. My mechanic said he doesn't think Iguana touched my drive at all. All seals were obviously older than one year. I contacted them to see what they could do and just got swept under the rug with new ownership as their excuse... from the same guy that did the repairs. I urge you not to do business with these people or you will pay royally for it. Also, if you bought a boat before the ownership change, they will not be held accountable! I will change or delete my review once they contact me to make this right.
