My wife and I have identical Jeeps which unfortunately had a ton of recalls and problems which forced us to use the dealership. Our vehicles spent a lot time with mandated repairs and updates, but the real problem started when the vehicles fell out of the warranty time coverage - the mechanics started finding numerous little problems that ended up costing us big time money. The communication from the service dept. was poor and they became very pushy about getting more repairs done ( that we didn't consider needed ). We gave up and went elsewhere that did a much better job of diagnosing the real problems - we saved a fortune. We'll never go back to this dealership again. read more

Had a oil change and tire rotation done , payed bill with credit card . After I got home and checked my credit card on line and saw an extra pay share amount on my card . Was not told about it when I paid my bill , I had cash to pay my bill , but decided to card it . Will not be going back to Summit anymore for oil change !!!!! read more

Was looking at a 2019 GMC Canyon 4x4 lot listed price $26,999. I did a Edmunds Appraisal on that vehicle under (outstanding condition) with approximately 77,000 miles and Dealer's retail listed at $22,515.... I looked up my trade- 2018 Equinox Premier AWD, 151,600 miles under (clean) trade in listed at $10,475...Sales associate (no names mentioned) Logan, informed me they cant give me that edmunds trade in because they ( the dealership) needs to reduce my trade by $2500 for clean and prep and $2500 for their markup when they put in on the lot for resale. Bottom line, I was offered between $5000-$6000 for my trade---WOW! Then Logan pointed out from autotrader- ( the dealership compares your trade value with others listed at selling price from autotrader) of your trade in. Remind you, minus $2500 for markup,$2500 for clean and prep off your expected trade. Beware! Then I am told, "typically when the dealer breaks down the math for customers, they are more understanding and can see where we are coming from, but Logan understands it's not easy for some people to keep their emotions out of it. Not all people are naive as you think Logan. You're just a saleman and may never be nothing more than a saleman. Really didn't appreciateiate you undermining me. All I did was research. Nothing has changed after 30 years of NOT doing business with this dealership, in fact, seems worse. Sales rep was rude and tried slipping in a 997.00 charge for a glass coat finish and when questioned about it he didn't return my message. I let the sales rep know that I was interested in a rather expensive sports car and was told that it wasn't available due to some recalls. I let him know that I wanted to know as soon as it was available. The next message I got from the sales rep was that they sold the car to someone else. I questioned the sales rep and he was extremely rude. I can only imagine how you are treated after the sale. read more

UPDATE- After hearing about my negative experience Ryan Knueppel, the GM, reached out to me and set up a face to face meeting. He was genuinely upset with the poor experience I had and asked what he could do to make things right and hopefully regain my business. After talking about the experience he refunded the cost of the hose replacement and the one of the diagnosis charges(I was charged twice to diagnose the problem). I truly believe he wanted to make things right and Ryan apologized multiple times for the way I was treated. I would do business with Ryan again and hopefully he can work with Jim Clark and teach him a little about how to treat customers. SCAMMERS. Had a hose leaking where it goes into the radiator. Summit replaced the hoses for almost $400. When they were done the car leaked twice as bad. The hose the put on leaked and the original leak was still there. When I brought the car back they looked at it and said the only way to fix the leak would be to replace the radiator for $740. They said they knew there was a chance this could happen but did not mention it until I brought the car back. I was able to take the car to Mueller's in rosendale and fix the leak for $60. When I contacted Jim Clark from the service he quit responding because I told him I should share my experience with others via the Internet. When I called to discuss this with Jim Clark he did not see any problem with quoting $740 for something that costed $60 to repair. Horrible customer service. STAY AWAY read more

Frankly Brian the sales representative pushed hard for the up sell extended warranties see also did not want to work with us to offer me a value for my a $6,000 trade-in vehicle. The ussual suspects in the back room did not want to work with me and told me to sell my used car someplace else. I ended up buying a vehicle through them anyway and after I sign the paperwork to get my vehicle it was a chore to pick it up, (salesperson was no where to be found), I was told it would take 30 minutes I was at the dealership for 3 hours because nothing was ready for me. I had to listen to the extended warranty pitch 2 more times and was even told by the finance manager that it was mandatory that she had to tell me about it! You can do business here but it's going to be very very painful and you're not going to get good service or a good deal. read more

I bought a 2011 F250 and it's supposedly had they're multi-point inspection. I brought it home and less than a month later it has the death wobble. I talked to someone in the service department they said they could fix it for me but I wasn't driving halfway across the state again. Of course I would have to pay for it as well. Less than 800 miles I put on this truck. Kind of disappointing to know you spend that kind of money on a nice truck and then have to spend thousands more to get it fixed. read more

I have my 2013 Jeep Wrangler serviced here. Appointments are easy to make and the shuttle service is always appreciated. They have your vehicle done when promised and only recommend repairs that are needed. They are honest, fair and friendly. The service manager, Leroy Neu is top notch. I had an unusual failure at 30,000 miles, but my vehicle was out of warranty time wise. I reached out to him and he was very quick in getting back to me and we were able to work out a solution. Quite rude; I was inquiring about a truck that has been on their lot for 222 days. To be brief they sent me the automated email to get ahold of me and then I replied to that email and the generic "welcome from some manager etc etc," neither replied so then I called Chris Holmes. He did not know much about the truck but said it is older and he cannot guarantee its long-term survival but it is priced almost $8k more than similar trucks because it has extras. I would get a warranty but that would void a lot since the car has been customized so repairs will cost more. You would think that the car being there for so long they would want to work with people, but I guess that is how things are done in Wisconsin. Lesson I learned, customizations are not my choice and they should not increase the cost of the car but actually decrease it. Again, to cut the long story. Shoddy sales people who cannot communicate well. The email reply I did get was rude and short and said look elsewhere if you don't like their prices. When you are buying from another state, you want the best sales person you can find and this is not it. I would give a two star but I feel I should continue with the prior reviews and tell it like it is. I do not want a generic sorry reply either from the manager; you are try to give the best service and have the best staff you would not have gotten this review. Goodbye from Ohio. read more

We bought a used truck and were told by the sales manager, Ryan Knueppel that they take care of the little issues that come up. The wheel sensor that when out on the way home didn't count... he didn't stick to his word. The vice president, Joel Zerbel, said it would only be fixed under the warranty we purchased with $100 deductible. Their word isn't to be trusted... not customer oriented after the sale. If I could give them a zero star rating I would. First of all their service department is incapable of fixing ANYTHING. They tell you they fixed it, tell you they tested it and it is all a complete lie. But that isn't the worst that they did. An entire MONTH after I picked up my still NOT repaired vehicle they sent in a claim to my warranty company andand received $432.00 for NOT fixing my truck. Go somewhere else, save yourself the headach. I very rarely review any business because we are all entitled to our own opinion but the service and handling of my vehicle was just so awful. read more

Update to a previous review. On the way home from picking up the truck I purchased. A tire pressure sensor failed. The truck notified me of this. Long story short after going to a dealer we found out for sure the sensor is not working. Brought it in to have it fixed and they would do nothing to stand by their word. Could have it fixed using the warranty that was purchased. Don't trust them to do it so having it repaired somewhere else. My husband told me all that happened and was not impressed at all. Especially hearing that the VP brought up the bad review I wrote about the shotty detail work when we were told it would be "to the nines". Unless you're going to apologize for everything that has happened thus far you don't need to bring it up. read more

Do not believe their claim that all used vehicles go thru a 100+point inspection before going out on the lot - BECAUSE THEY DO NOT!! We took their word for it, only to discover when we got it home (5 hours later) to a certified Dodge mechanic that it had: 4 bad tires- ones that were older than the truck itself! It also needed a rear drive shaft, front ball joints, and U joints. They did settle with us- for about 1/8 of what the repairs will cost! I don't necessarily blame the salesman, he probably didnt know; but typical shifty management. read more
