If you're looking for a prek for your little one instead of a daycare ... this is the place. They have a structured school day/meal times/nap times. His teacher has been working with him with potty training which is amazing. They even offer before and after care which was very important for me with my work schedule. Although it's small there is a little outdoor play area they go to when the weather is nice. My son always is excited when he gets to go out and play there. It's nice that they communicate with parents often. We get a calendar every month of what the kids will be learning and any important dates to remember. I love getting the weekly picture updates. There are lots of fun activities for the kids during the school day also. I like that they have enrichment programs once a week (with an outside company that comes in) you can pay extra for (my son has already done gymnastics and soccer skills). Another plus is that there is summer camp which runs similar hours and you can choose which weeks to send them (1-8 weeks). The teacher and director are always available to answer questions and get back to me quickly when I send a message or email. All of the teachers and aides are so sweet and caring towards my son and the other kids. My son never cries that he has to go to school and always tells me he had a good day and loves school. TLE Lyndhurst came highly recommended by a wonderful neighbor, but we were skeptical because of the reviews. We went for a tour and at first glanced the placed looked incredible. Ms. Debbie, one of the managers, gave us the tour. Aside from being super sweet, she was so thorough! She explained every in detailed and answered all our queries. The center was super clean, safe (main doors were closed at all times), all the children looked happy, all the classrooms had lots of age-appropriate toys and books, the staff seemed nice, and each classroom has a well-structured curriculum. The front area was decorated beautifully with the monthly theme, and lovely art projects made by students adorn the hallway and the classrooms. They have a cool room called the "Boulevard," which looks like an exhibit from a children's museum, where children can play make-believe, or watch a movie. They also have a playground in the back with slides and plenty of space for the little ones to run around. After the tour we felt really good about the place, and decided to give it a shot. First of all, we are super grateful with TLE Lyndhurst that they had the space to admit our little girl on such short notice. Secondly, we couldn't be happier with the directors/managers and staff. Their smiles and positive attitudes make all the difference! The entire staff at TLE welcomed our daughter with open arms, and have helped her blossom extraordinarily! When our little girl first started (she was 1), she was didn't know how to walk, and much less how to feed herself. It was a tough transition, and she did cry a lot, but Ms. Karen and Ms. Scarlett were super patient, loving and caring. We dropped in unannounced a few times, and called throughout the day, and every single time, they greeted us with a smile. Best of all, we found our daughter happy and engaged in the daily activities. Communication was really important to us, and we have really appreciated the daily letters that get sent home, detailing what our daughter has learned, what she ate, her mood that day, etc. They also put out a monthly calendar and newsletter with fun activities and celebrations. At 18 Months, our daughter was transitioned to another toddler room with Ms. Karina and Ms. Scarlett, which are hands down, the most warm, caring, kind and professional teachers at TLE. Our little girl has developed a love for art, she can feed herself, she loves to point at different things and call them by name, she loves being around other children, playing, dancing, and singing. I can go on and on about everything that she has learned, and it's all thanks to the wonderful teachers at TLE, that stimulate her in a safe and happy environment. My husband and I leave her everyday with peace of mind, knowing that she is being cared by professional compassionate individuals. It was the best decision we have made! Thank you TLE Lyndhurst!

This is my 3rd daycare and we've now been here over a year. The 2 prior daycares had their own varying degrees and points of horror, and so when searching for a new daycare, we looked long and hard. Laura immediately made me feel comfortable and is a warm and friendly person (a mom of 3 young kids herself). The daycare is clean and she is the most patient human being I have ever known. The other 2 teachers are also wonderful with my kiddos! I should also add she takes them to the park, so they always get outdoor time when weather permits, and facilitates field trips and enrichment activities throughout the year. This year she took them to the zoo, Bounce U, the Untermyer Gardens (during their garden unit), the pool, the fire house, and more. She has monthly puppet shows with an outside vendor, and parties throughout the year (for major holidays). She even had a special daycare holiday party and gift exchange where the kids performed little seasonal songs they'd been working on during circle time. As a teacher myself, schedule and routine were a big deal to me and Laura follows the Mother Goose Time curriculum. We've had units on space, the seasons, gardening, etc. She gives us a monthly newsletter that lists books we can buy to read at home with our kiddos to reinforce what they're doing during the day. She does activities that work on motor functions, including play dough and shaving cream. It's really amazing. I forgot to add this earlier, but for my daughter's birthday, we could only book her party at Bounce U on a weekday at 3pm, so Laura BROUGHT THE KIDS FROM THE DAYCARE to the party for me, so everyone could attend, and parents picked up from there instead of the daycare. The other teacher stayed back with the little ones who couldn't attend. She will come down to my car to get my kids if I am running late, I mean, it's really just above and beyond. I am actually very sad that my daughter's daycare years will be coming to an end next year and feel so bad for her that she has to transition to school and away from Laura. I am certain we found the best daycare in Yonkers. I would highly recommend her.
