He broke down each session ahead of time so I knew what work I had to accomplish before our meetings and what to expect to talk about in our meetings. The work was challenging and thought provoking, but it really helped me discover my skills, shortcomings, non-negotiable and ultimately led me to the work that I wanted to do. He helped me define what I was looking for in a role, including: team structure, day-to-day responsibilities, environment, reporting structure, and more. He helped me gain confidence that even though I didn't have a background in design, I had inherent skills and aptitudes for the field. One year removed for working with Shawn, I landed a new role in a new career. Shawn helped me find a career path and happiness in my work. Working with Shawn really helped me understand my abilities and clearly define what I was looking for. Once I was able to define my ideal role, I was able to go out and get it.
