I stayed in the Zzz room for a night. The hosts, Paul and Bette, are wonderful. Their two cats are very cute as well. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was very comfortable---I had a great night's sleep. The outside is very picturesque--the porch has a fantastic view of trees and flowers (in the spring). The breakfast, prepared by Paul, was plentiful and fantastic. Paul served rye bread and scone baked by him. The house is more than 300 years old and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The stay was very reasonably priced. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would gladly stay there if I go back that way.

When visiting there, it feels as if you're travelling back in time to the 1800s. The rooms look classy and timeless, and the beds are super comfortable. The building itself is astonishing and the surrounding land is gorgeous. The breakfast tastes great and is filling. And the wifi is extremely fast. The people that run the place are very nice and accommodating. They make it feel like a home away from home. It's always a peaceful and relaxing experience at the Fitch House. It's a little hard to find via GPS, but off-the-beaten-path is why we chose to stay here. We opened the door into a beautiful open floor plan flanked by barnboard and stucco. Posts and beams support the clapboard ceiling and heartily contribute to the abode's country charm. We were greeted with a welcome note detailing the lodging's offerings with instructions should we have had any issues. There is a beautiful tree overlooking Firefly Pond, which really should have a rope swing on it, but we're hoping they add one in the near future. If you're looking for delightful accommodations in Coventry, this is the place for you.

Breakfast was delicious and we even had round trip transportation to nearby Lake Coventry for an afternoon of sun and swimming. As a now out of state UCONN alum it's so nice to have a pleasant place near campus to stay when I'm back in town and I was impressed with the number of restaurant options down the road in Willimantic.
