I genuinely thought I would finely get the help I need. Boy was I sure wrong. From the moment I entered it felt like an internment camp. Toilets and sinks made of steel. A shower which blasts you like the fire hose you would experience in the Newark Riots. In fact, I think I would have been safer downtown Newark come to think of it. I was treated like a prisoner. I was mocked by the entire staff because they did not obviously know how to treat DPDR which is what I had and not just depression/anxiety. I have never seen such an uncoordinated place in my life. What genius decided that all mental patients regardless of their diagnosis including homicidal deranged people clearly on drugs should all be put together??!! I had to spend my 8 horrible days/nights there in solitary confinement from the outside world suffering continuous ridicule from both patients and staff. I am legally disabled and was mocked for how I walk, I was recorded and laughed at behind one way mirrors while attempting to sleep with an individual who called himself the "Pisser" whom peed around my bed in the middle of the night and not one worker came to remove him or clean up his mess. They also held a viewing party because I could hear them behind our room laughing and talking about me and this other creature next to me who snored on top of peeing so loud, I think a jet engine would be softer. Many people I see here talked about their disgusting rabbit food they would feed me since I'm on a renal diet. The workers were amongst the rudest, soulless, immoral individuals I have ever had the misfortune to meet. There was no structure at all. You are expected to read the wall or pamphlet for times and expect to visit the various groups. My DPDR caused me balance issues and memory issues so they took advantage of my mannerisms and gestures to mock me by staging fake repair men to pretend to repeatedly fix the air on a ladder when you could clearly see they were solely watching me as no work was actually happening. When I asked questions, they would deliberately send me to the other end so I would have to walk and often no one was there. When I was sent to dialysis about 3 times, they would tip off the techs and nurses and dietitian and they went out of their way to stage a patient next to me pretending to call home and he would keep repeating words or topics I discussed in their so-called therapy. They had a dietitian sit in the bay next to me and she pretended to review what to eat on renal diet but there was no one there she kept saying things like, "So you can't eat yams, they have potassium, so um you know like bananas are bad too, so um ya like don't eat potatoes either." Know these words alone is not how a professional would talk so I know they were meant to mock me because at DPDR onset your thoughts are not as fluent. They sat me in a special wooden chair so I would suffer there too. The nurse deliberately went as slow as possible to the point of supreme exaggeration to insight mockery of me. When my mother and brother came, they would lie and often say I was not available or that everything was fine. I do hope there is a special place in hell for these liars. If I had one wish is that they get audited and raided by the FBI and fed government to seize their computers and all surveillance. Then the truth about what really went on with me and probably countless other poor souls trying to get help but instead got tortured. I spoke to AJ Mertz about this and the patient advocates. My family and I have been in this hospital over the years for multiple surgeries, ICU, even my father passed here. Management needs to clean house. There are always a few rotten curds in every brick of cheese. Communications is very lacking as I saw during a major surgery stay and here too in Baby Alcatraz Ward. Manipulation is not therapy!

I was able to get An appointment, the receptionist was super helpful and the wait was within 15 minutes of my appointment even though there were many people in the waiting room. The tech who did my scan asked me questions, explained the process and asked me to wait after to ensure the scan was good and the initial reading didn't show anything concerning. I appreciated that very much. The results were uploaded to MyChart within the hour. Very efficient and nice people. Because I went in within 2 hours of my appointment, the insurance had not approved my test. They waited until the last minute to see If it would be approved and gave me the option to pay out of pocket or reschedule. I didn't have time or want to risk having a problem, so unpaid out of pocket and will working out with my insurance. They were very upfront about it and I liked having the option.

** STAY AWAY FROM Morristown Medical Center **…read more ** DO NOT GOT HERE AT ALL ** * Complete Incompetence * Zero Medical knowledge * Zero Accountability * Zero Leadership * Zero Empathy My 20-year-old daughter was a patient at Morristown Medical Center for more than two years. She experienced chronic pain, mobility challenges, and cognitive issues, yet the medical care she received was inadequate. She was admitted more than five times for the same symptoms and never received a diagnosis. In total, her hospital stays exceeded 120 days. I contacted the patient complaint department several times, but each time I was given the runaround. She did not receive appropriate treatment and spent much of that time lying in her room without meaningful progress. Meanwhile, MMC billed my insurance company millions of dollars. After we took her to another hospital, she was diagnosed and received proper treatment. I do not want to provide additional details for legal reasons, but she is now recovering.

Brought our daughter to the ER at RWJ Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston NJ. She was catatonic, grimacing in pain, unable to walk lift her limbs and having difficulty swallowing. She expressed this to the ER staff at check-in. She was seen by Claud Krause PA. After talking to Claude and expressing her condition they released her without a doctor's examination. She was in distress and had a serious medical condition. She returned home that evening and her condition worsened with vomiting. We drove her to another ER to be examined for her condition, and she was admitted to another hospital for evaluation by a medical team. RWJ Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston NJ denied her a medical examination and delayed care for a serious medical condition. This is unacceptable and needs to be investigated. My daughter was admitted to another hospital on November 28th and has been hospitalized since then being treated for Severe Catatonia. The denial of medical care from RWJ is negligent and incompetent. I called RWJ Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston NJ to file a complaint on December 1st and they have not called me back as of today June 17th 2026. I also received an Explanation of Benefits document from my Health provider stating that Robert Deutsch billed my insurance and he did not even see or talk to her. That is Insurance fraud submitting a claim for services not performed. I filed a complaint with jointcommission.org and NJ State Department of Health

The lab downstairs, yikes. It's a zoo most days because every dr sends patients down there at any given time. I would only recommend going with a pre-scheduled app. as early in the day as possible. As for the phlebotomists (people who draw blood) - most are so nice and gentle. 1 in particular was rude and incredibly arrogant last week. I've gotten blood taken maybe 6x here (I'm pregnant) and only recently experienced such unprofessional demeanor. Just a heads up to those with small veins / young children. No one deserves to be spoke to rudely or in- pain. Period. I left with a huge bruise because of her roughness. This specific day I did need to get 4 blood draws, but the pain / bruising was not necessary. I did tell the OBGY office and they were super apologetic. Based on my prior experience I sure hope it was a 1-off experience and I don't run into that young women again because I will absolutely be passing on her drawing any blood from me, ever again and will wait for someone else.

The staff on hand was also nice enough to help me being that I had my sick mother one one side and my father who has parkinson's with me since my mother is his primary caregiver. The ER staff worked quickly and efficiently to run tests after which she was admitted to the hospital for two days. We were moved over to the newer building which is unbelievable. Beautiful, spacious, clean and pretty glamorous for a hospital. Again the staff at the hospital was super accommodating and understanding that my father insisted on being at her side even though he would have been much more comfortable at home. Thank you to Beatrice, Amanda and Julie (the only names I remembered to write down) in the kidney transplant wing, and to everyone whose name I did not get for taking such good care of us. My mom does not speak english but again the staff was super helpful and had a walkie-talkie type radio on them that could bring up someone who could speak the language (awesome idea). I would not recommend the Emergency room at St Barnabas to the most vile individual. The Emergency Room at RWJ St Barnabas Hospital Livingston is a place I would not recommend any breathing soul to visit. PLEASE DO YOUR LOVED ONES A FAVOR, GO ELSEWHERE (Morristown Memorial, St Claire's, Holyname, Englewood) Our experience felt like something straight off tv! Pediatric Nurse Erin R (a disgrace) and Grace R (horrible) Nurses in pediatrics HORRIBLE! These nurses are a disgrace to RWJ St Barnabas. The Pediatric Emergency Room is beyond horrible. My child could not walk, or stand. I asked the nurse at the entrance if she could bring a stretcher to help, get my child into the ER., my child was weak, in enormous pain. The nurse huffed at me like I was asking for millions of dollars. My child was admitted, needed 2 transfusions, and needed intensive care. The lack of compassion, care, no concern, desensitized, inappropriate behavior of the ER nursing staff, lack of communication amongst doctor's, nurses, and patients is life threatening. I will say the Pediatric floor has improved, and I appreciate all of the nurses that has cared for my child for the past 4 years. Unfortunately due to a few bad apples in the ER, we will never return to this place, regardless of the circumstances. This hospital is a train wreck looking for a time, and place. It won't be with my family or friends! Yes sharing your review on social media will encourage others to think twice. Hopefully positive changes for the better will happen, that hold a few bad surgeons, and nurses accountable. The Joint Commission, medical board, nursing license board, consumer affairs, as well as going after these negligent surgeons at St Barnabas ability to write medication for pain, narcotics will get immediate attention, adding loss of accreditation, possibly being kicked to a Tier 2 hospital which will hurt the hospital financially. Only after RWJ St Barnabas is held fully accountable on every level that affects there finances will they understand the depth of pain, and disappointment, that they have caused patients, families, and the community!
