After an 8 hour drive the day before, I was a walk-in patron and asked for an hour-long deep tissue massage. After the masseuse checked how strong a massage I needed, she was using her knees on my back. I extended the massage. I walked out feeling 2 inches taller and had lost all the pain and stiffness in my neck, back, and knees for 24 hours. 5 days later, instead of going to a Brewer game I went back to Rose Massage, since I was driving home the next day. Deep tissue massage again, almost as good as the first masseuse. Asked for an extension... the extension was with the masseuse from before. Was delighted to thank her for the first massage. Her name was Luna, and her hands were especially warm, firm, and soft. The drive back home felt great, even after being stuck in Chicago traffic for over an hour. The place is very clean, has soft music, and smells nice, and I could not imagine a better introduction to getting a massage.

It consisted of a rundown futon covered in old mismatched bedsheets, stacks of water in cases, a small refrigerator, microwave and a makeshift desk piled with stuff. The little older woman that was there was very nice but she was the only person there, just sitting on the futon watching something on screen, there were no other staff people at all. Let me start by saying I am completely blind without my glasses... she then led me down a very short dark hallway and I could make out the images of two doorframes with very old curtains (they looked old and dingy) hanging over each doorway but it was so dark I could barely see anything. Once I followed her into the room (which was also very dark and the only light was coming from a table lamp with a red light bulb in the corner on the floor which made the whole first impression seem super sketchy! And I had not even had the massage yet. Then the woman, who by the way did not speak English was saying something like "get undressed"... I'm assuming? It was at that point that I decided that I just wanted an upper back and neck massage ...no full body in this place! I tried to then relax to the loud Kenny G playing in the background that was hard! As for the massage this little lady was strong but kinda rough Then she suddenly stopped and left the room she returned with a tray of some sort and all of a sudden i feel something very HOT as she tries to put a hot towel on my back and I'm like "Too HOT" she quickly removes the towel from almost hitting my back! She shakes the towel around to cool it down, then sets it on my back, then she brings out HOT STONES way too hot!!! And I was not prepared for these at all. After that I was just ready to get the heck out of there, so I quickly threw on my shirt and shoes handed her a tip as she handed me a bottle of water...I will not be going back... ever! The next day I woke up in pain like i got beat up! My whole upper back feels bruised! Not a good experience at all :(

Even though the massage was really Good, I felt a little awkward with the pricing misunderstanding and that the full hour did not include the entire body. I would say maybe it was a little shady. They have a punch pass so you get a free massage after 10 massages. Also you get charged $3 if you pay with a credit card. Or you can Venmo no charge.
