Then the lady who booked us also told us the electric was 15-20$ but we are being charged almost 100.00 for the electric. Then Sid gave my husband a job in May and on our move out date, he changed his mind on. And my husband is extremely hard working and will go above and beyond for his employer. But your employees barely do anything. They just pick up the trash bag and that's it. The employees you have working here are so rude and they make up rules as they go.. If they do not want smokers smoking in certain places, put up signs where you do not want people to smoke at! I have never seen them even test the pool and I run every morning! All they do is pick up the trash at the end of the driveways. This park has potential but they need to hire people who are actually willing to work! I have even heard customers complain about how nasty the cabins are. They never clean the inflatables either! We have spent a lot of money to be mistreated. And not to be able to use the ammentities you guys supposedly offer because your employees refuse to actually clean them! Not to mention, I've walked around this park every night cleaning the loose trash (3-4 trash bags) that your employees are to lazy to do. 10/10 this place isn't worth it! This wasn't even that bad

Dauphine Island Campground is a great place to camp. We stayed in the tent camping area in our…read morerooftop tent. There is a spot to have a fire and every site has picnic tables which is nice. The tent camping area is very wooded so there is plenty of shade which is nice. We stayed here in April and were surpised that there were SO MANY mosquitos! We did get eaten alive by them even having bug spray on. There was a walking trail right by our campsite to walk to the beach. We took full advantage of that. The beach was clean and peaceful right on the Gulf! The bathhouse was pretty new and so clean and nice! There are sinks and mirrors right outside the showers as well as sinks and mirrors right outside the toilets. The showers were clean, spacious, have a bench to put all of your things, the water was hot and the water pressure was great as well. When checking in the staff was very friendly and informative. The office has a small selection of "general" merchandise you might need to save you a trip into town to a store. They also have firewood for sale. Be sure to get wood when you get there because the staff is gone at 5 or 6 and you won't be able to get wood after that; we made that mistake. If you have kids, there is a playground for them to play on which excited our kids. It was close enough to the tent camping area that we were able to see them playing from our campsite. They do have bicycles for the kids to ride if they didn't bring their own. My daughter learned the hard way that the bike she chose didn't have breaks and she took a pretty hard crash! I definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area.

If you are in a camper you are probably fine from the noise but if you are in a tent good luck with sleep. Otherwise, this is a fantastic campground, cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at a campground, great people staying there. As a solo female traveler this was the perfect spot for me to set up except no beach access and I was in a tent so got no sleep. Left after 1 night instead of 4 and while they told me it was nonrefundable they did not disclaim that the beach was closed or the noise.

It's a 10 minute drive to larger beaches, even though the resort has its own beach and pool. The grounds were meticulous and had such beautiful flowers and bushes! On a Friday night they had a singer perform and he was amazing as well.

This is a lovely Class A RV Resort located right on the water. The clubhouse, pool & hot tub area…read moreoverlook the beach & are well maintained. The location & surrounding area are near wonderful restaurants & great shopping. So, why did I give it a 1 star rating? The pictures on the resort's website were the determining factor in our decision to book a 28 day stay here. We chose site 20 because it is has a beautiful water view, the pix showed a direct path to the beach, & the landscaping looked so pretty & pristine. Imagine our utter disappointment when we arrived to find landscaping full of dead & overgrown shrubbery, weeds growing rampant that have completely overtaken the site, & no path to the beach due to the out of control, overgrown shrubbery & weeds. It could literally be the Munster's landscaping. That beach path was very important to me. I have mobility issues that prevent me from using stairs, & without that path I am now denied access to the beach because all the other ways to get onto the beach area involve stairs. Upon our arrival, I called the management company to ask for someone to come & clean up the site, & I was told that "landscapers had just been here two days ago, & there has been a ton of rain in our area the last week." Did she really think I could be talked into believing those foot tall weeds & that out of control & dead shrubbery had been serviced by landscapers in the prior two days, & were the result of one rainy week? Very politely, I asked once again for someone to come & clean up the site. She said she would come by to take a look & talk about what could be done. That was five days ago. We have not seen or heard from her yet, & our site is literally 50 steps from her office in the clubhouse. Somebody did come & use a weed whacker to cut down the weeds that had grown up through the pavers & completely overtaken the fire pit area, but the rest of the site is still a mess. It is a haven for lizards, snakes, & rats. It's extremely hard to sit outside & enjoy the bay view while constantly on the lookout for something slithering or running your way. We feel completely deceived, we are disappointed, & we are paying $143.00 a night for a site that we cannot fully enjoy. The bottom line is this resort is advertising one thing, but delivering something very different. It even touts bold statements on its website such as 'Protective covenants to ensure resort uniformity and excellence, Beautifully detailed & maintained landscaping, & Full time resort property manager on duty to make sure your time here always exceeds your expectations'. Needless to say, we are not experiencing any of that. Happy update: My husband talked with the resort's landscapers yesterday morning. They took one look at our site & agreed that it was a mess & unacceptable. They spent all yesterday afternoon cleaning out the weeds, dead shrubbery, & trimming all the overgrown plants. My goodness, what a difference! It's going to be a pleasure to spend time out there now. It will now be less attractive to snakes, lizards, & rats. And, today we received a visit from the resort's HOA President. He seemed genuinely concerned that we had issues that weren't addressed by the resort's property managers. He was apologetic & promised we would enjoy the rest of our stay. So, all is well now on site 20! My initial 1 star rating is now 4 stars.
