I have used this business for 15+ years. I pulled a dress shirt out that was just picked up from Sun Clean, and it had a burn hole and plastic where a piece of plastic melted on the shirt when it was pressed. No big deal, right? I mean they have had my business for 15 years; I'll show it to them and ask for a small simple credit. Went back to pick up my dry cleaning and asked about the credit. Nope!! the staff told me Claudia said they are not responsible for damaging clothing; I said how about a credit for what I paid to have it cleaned since you damaged it-Nope! Don't bring any clothing of value to Sun Clean and expect them to do the right thing if they damage your item, because the will not! I learned the hard way. I guess a $10 credit for damaging a customer's item is worth a 15-year customer. Good Bye! read more

Sharon is so unfocused, and apparently enjoys arguing and proving customers wrong than anything else. I've 'officially' complained at least once, but it seems that it falls mostly on deaf ears. I love Mark and I've been with Sun Clean for a long time. But the Safety pins you use to attach shorts to the hangers are a problem. I'm 82 with arthritis and trying to get the safety pins off the hangers is a real chore and in some cases painful. The pins are too small and even if they were the largest might be too stiff for my fingers. Please find a way to deliver the shorts in a more finger friendly way. Just so you know, Mark gave me a bible I still have and use. Further, we quite a while ago we dealt in antiques including a sale at his home. I still have some. I don't want to leave his dry cleaning business. read more

I do like this dry cleaners!!! The only bad experience I had there was when I brought a tie in with a stain and they put a pin through the silk tie and not the tag. But they were apologetic and assured me it would never happen again. They are fast with same day services available depending on the time you bring it in. Recently I had dropped off my dry cleaning and a button had popped off of one of the pants. I forgot to tell them when I dropped it off and had to call. When I called it the phone went to the answering machine because they were closed. I let a vm about the button in my front pant pocket and to my surprise they listened. When I picked up my dry cleaning the button was sowed on. Yippee!!! read more

Lost my nice hangers and gave me back cheap wire hangers not to happy won't be back. When I asked them about it they told me they would have to ask the manager so I waited until they told me the manager wasn't going to be in the rest of the day so I guess my nice hangers are gone forever. They lost all my suits, finally did locate them the day after they were to be ready for pickup, could not speak English well enough to explain the issue to me. Then charged me full price for the pleasure of doing business with them. I don't know why this place gets such bad reviews. I used them twice and for convenience and location I can't complain. They have a drive thru in the back and come right out. I've never had a problem and everything is returned perfect. Prices don't seem too bad either $8 for a suit jacket and $12 for a winter coat. On the water by US1 and central so easy to stop by on my way home. Definitely recommended. read more

DO NOT take your clothes to this place. My mother had a $200 shirt which was brand-new in perfect condition (directions were to dry clean only) which their dry cleaner machine ruined completely. The ladies at the store (who are actually very nice People) even acknowledged that the machine ruined it and that, if it was their decision, they would pay us back. Still, the owner refused to pay ANYTHING for the shirt or even give ANY kind of credit for dry cleaning. Not One penny offered, despite the fact that we have spent at least $200 per month there on dry cleaning for several years. Instead, the owner sends the shirt to an "Independent Laboratory" which is really a company that Sun Clean pays to write a fancy report that says essentially whatever the owner wants it to say...simply a tool to protect their bottom line. Even this report acknowledges that the garment COULD have been messed by the machine, but that it COULD also have been a "design defect"...trust me, there was nothing wrong with this shirt . We are not the type of people that expect something for nothing. In business, when you make a mistake, you admit to it and do what you can to fix it. We were legitimately screwed over by this place, and they did nothing to accommodate us. They should be ashamed of themselves for treating long time, paying customers like this. Needless to say, we will not be going back. It seems the owners care only about their bottom line and not their customers. read more

I took my black dress for my Mother's funeral into the cleaner to get a little perfume from the store out of it so it didn't aggravate my husband's asthma. I told them I needed it scent free because of my husband's asthma and that it was for my mother's funeral in a couple days. It came back smelling like a floral bouquet and since my husband picked it up he was coughing as he came in the door. They offered to re-clean it and give it back to me the day after my mother's funeral. So now I have a brand new dress that I can't wear & no dress for my mother's funeral. Thanks for adding even more stress to a very stressful day. I asked for a refund since they didn't do what they were paid for & they refused. I won't ever use them again and I'll make sure to tell others about my experience. read more

Had been going business with Sun Cleaners for 10 years. However, I now refuse to do business with them. Recently, I brought in a wool sweater to be dry cleaned. They washed it. It shrunk and lost its soft feel. When I brought it back they acknowledged it had been washed. I left it with them for resolution. Next time I picked up cleaning it was in the package. All they did was dry clean it and they even charged me for it. It was still shrunk. Next they tried to stretch it but that did not work. They have not offered any compensation or even return of the cleaning fee. read more

TLDR Sun cleaners will ruin your items with no remorse. I am medieval recreationist/ renaissance fair worker and often wear hand made gowns. When dealing with these gowns they must always be dry cleaned so they aren't damaged. I have had two of my other dresses (one of which is the exact same as the one sun cleaners damaged) dry cleaned multiple times with no issue. My regular cleaner no longer is in business so I decided to give sun cleaners a try. They ruined one of my $185 medieval gowns. I am absolutely heart broken as it was my newest dress that was purchased last year for my birthday. My dress smelled a bit musty after being folded up and sitting in my closet for a year so I wanted it to be dry cleaned to freshen it up. I assumed a dry cleaner that advertises they care for wedding dresses would be a safe bet. First thing I noticed once I picked up my dress was discoloration on the shoulders. Then I realized somehow the fabric was baggy in certain areas. The dress is reversible so one side of the bodice is tweed and the other is a poly blend. The poly blend was baggy and there was odd stretching near the gromets for lacing. I had a family friend bring the dress to sun cleaners when I had to work to discuss what they planned to do for replacing my dress. I ended up having to call while said friend was there. The cleaner told me the shoulders were discolored because of having it on a hanger. Which is completely wrong since it has lived folded for it's entire life and wasn't discolored before I left it with them. Second they started to blame me because there was no care tag on the dress (spoiler handmade dresses usually don't have a care tag) so how would they know it would shrink. I will admit I could've been more polite when I pointed out how incompetent they were for not being able to recognize natural fabrics that could shrink with improper care and that my other dresses including an identical one have been dry cleaned before by someone else with no issues. The dress also still smells musty! Which is amazing honestly considering they were rough enough on my dress to ruin it. After going back and forth they told me they would do nothing and that it's my fault. I brought my dress in for dry cleaning. If the dress had been dry cleaned and only dry cleaned nothing else it's impossible for the fabric to have shrunk. At the end of the call I was told I wouldn't even get a refund on my cleaning because of my attitude. I brought my dress to the people who made it and after looking at it for a few minutes they were immediately able to tell me the tweed was shrunk and there is bubbling near the gromets because it was tossed in a washer and dried in a hot dryer and that is the only possible way for them to cause such damage and completely ruining the dress. But sun cleaners won't take any responsibility for the fact that they ruined my dress by washing and drying it instead of dry cleaning. If I wanted to ruin my favorite gown I could've done that for free at home instead of wasting $10 on someone who should've dry cleaned it. The kicker is that the people who made the dresses I've purchased don't even have that specific fabric pattern any more so I can't even get the same exact one again. Long story short if you have handmade or important items and request dry clean only don't trust sun cleaners. They will unapologetically ruin your items and not even refund the cleaning let alone help compensate you to purchase a new item. read more

If I could I would give negative stars. I have never been treated worse as a customer AND as a human. I dropped off my clothes while in town for business, when I went back two days later they had misplaced all of my underwear, socks, two shirts, and a jersey. When I went back to the store I couldnt get a straight answer from anyone, and the only resolution offered was to come back on Monday, this being Saturday morning and me not having any clean underwear, was not acceptable. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was informed she was off, I told them I also was off and its unfair to me to spend my Saturday chasing down my missing clothes, and I had work on Monday. The resolution was for me to go buy some additional undergarments, and I would be reimbursed Monday, when I could speak to the manager. Monday comes and fortunately enough my missing clothes were found, I went to the store to retrieve them as well as receive payment for the clothes I purchased. I was immediately told I would only receive half of the money since my clothes had been found, I informed the woman I would be receiving all of the money ($40), to which she replied "we will be keeping your clothes then." I could not believe what I was hearing, this was the worst customer service experience I had ever had. I firmly informed the woman behind the counter, that I would be getting my full refund, and she would not be keeping my clothes. They were trying to haggle with me, with MY CLOTHES! I ended up getting the full refund and my clothes back. Please, I cannot strongly enough advise you to not use these cleaners. Trash business, and worse people. read more
