Super experience with the team at Sun Country. Aaron is extremely knowledgeable and actually takes the time to address what the customer is looking for - it's engaged service vs a retail attitude. Just bought a bike there and have had several services completed here in the past and I'm completely satisfied. Originally, I was concerned with pricing, given there isn't much competition with other shops in the area, but everything I've bought there was competitively priced with the market. They don't have huge selection in the Killeen store but have pretty much everything you could need between the two stores (the other is in Temple) and will arrange to have stuff brought over. I'll start off by saying that I try to support local businesses as much as possible. With that being said, there's a reason shops like these are becoming scarce is their prices. I went in for a few parts and of course I was expecting a normal markup. But, their prices are three times the amount of online stores. If you can absolutely wait a few days for the parts to arrive, I recommend you do so. read more

Nice bike shop very helpful in getting me the parts I needed to get my bike back on the trails. Staff was very knowledgeable

I stopped by 20 minutes before closing and as I parked someone exited the front door, locked it and yelled, "can't help you." I can understand needing to leave early but there are professional ways to handle that situation and that was not it. Sometimes you don't get a second chance to make a first impression for business. Left my Cannondale there to have new fork put on. 1 1/8 steerer take off and replace on 1.5 headset. Cannondale did this conversion from the factory. I was told everything from "you need a tapered fork" to "it's 1" steerer tube and not 1 1/8" both of which is bogus. I was also told by the manager, Aron, that they don't make parts for this conversion. Once again, BOGUS! It took him three weeks to NOT figure it out. It took me 10 minutes of googling, $12.00 in parts and 15 minutes to complete the job. He didn't charge me, but with all the misinformation, he could have caused someone whose not as tenacious to spend uneeded money ( he suggested I buy another brand new fork) among other things. Staff was friendly, but not knowledgeable, IMO. read more

Loved loved loved how helpful Jimmie was! We just moved to town and got a flat tire and he helped me by putting the tube on and showed me how it's done! He also helped with selecting a New seat and got it just right for comfort! Also helped my with getting a set of tools and spare tube for emergencies! Jimmie went above and beyond to help me find a solution to put a emergency pump on my bike since it couldn't go in its normal spot- He's also currently helping my boyfriend find a perfect Bike for him! What a great guy, very informative! Very out going and friendly! He's a great part of the biking community! Really knows his stuff! Seemed like a nice shop. I paid $55 for the "tune-up". The service tech told me everything that he was going to do to the bike...when I received it, none of the services were performed. I know, b/c I checked the very things that he said that he would check. And, a close friend told me the exact same story. My friend said it was b/c neither of us had purchased our bikes from Sun Country. I wanted to support local business. I will be using YouTube videos from now on. read more

They gave me info about the type of bike I wanted and pointed me in the right direction. It's a great bike shop. Specialized is the best brand out there, and if you need maintenance on it, this is where you need to go. Go see Patrick! He was so helpful in every way!
