After a year of trying to get my Aventon Sinch repaired at E-bike shops in Mansfield and Farmers…read moreBranch with no luck or hope, only months of broken promises and aggravation, I found E-Bike Central had opened in Temple. A phone conversation with the owner renewed hope my Sinch might live again. Within minutes of bringing my bike in the door it was surrounded by all four employees diagnosing the problem each of the aforementioned e-bike shops couldn't in months of trying. Within 15 minutes the E-Bike Central team had my Sinch running like new! I won't mention how little they would accept for resurrecting my bike, other than to say I had to resort to tipping each employee $20 to keep my self-respect intact. By the way, E-Bike Central's showroom is like AN E-BIKE WONDERLAND, with dozens of cool models I never knew existed despite hours of e-bike shopping all over cyberspace. These guys are not just golden, but actually renewed my confidence that excellent business-people still exist; they're just few and far between. Suffice to say my 200 mile round-trip to E-Bike Central in Temple was well worth it. I can't thank these guys enough for saving my Sinch that two other e-bike shops FAILED MISERABLY to accomplish, despite $150 out of my pocket, and hundreds of miles in multiple round-trips to the D/FW metroplex.

But the most disappointing event was that my Aventon lock, a $70.00 item, was missing. I called immediately and explained the situation, and was instantly told my lock was not on the bike when I dropped it off and that I was mistaken. Talk about a slap in the face. I trusted that facility and was met with this. I will never return and will share the situation with my fellow riders. I had hoped that they would be a dependable partner in maintaining my bicycle, but that will not be the case. And to be told I don't know my bike is truly condescending. I guess the small amount I spent, $130.00, was good enough for them, that they would forfeit any further purchases. I can buy another lock; that's not a problem. But if considering their services, I would think twice and definitely seek service elsewhere.

I wasn't comfortable on the roads here and my bikes were gathering dust. My daughter is just starting to ride and some shops are opening within easy riding distance, so now is as good a time as any to get back in the saddle. The problem is my bikes needed a serious makeover. I brought two bikes in for service, a Trek 720 Disc touring/commuter and a Scott Addict RC 15 road bike. Both have disc brakes that needed major work and replacement parts, some new drivetrain parts, a general tuneup, and new handlebar wraps. The repair prices were competitive compared to what I've paid in the past. Both needed some parts ordered and the shop was in the middle of a move, so each repair took 1-2 weeks. It was worth the wait and every penny spent. The Trek 720 is as good as it has ever been, even compared to the days before it survived a car collision and a crash (both before moving here, if you're wondering). The Scott Addict is another level though. It's the nicest bike I've ever owned and I bought it new, but it has *never* shifted or braked as smoothly as it does now. I cannot explain how wonderful it is to have such a nice bike that rides to its full capability. We live in our forever home, and Taylor Bike Shop is now my forever bike shop!

I've brought a couple of bikes to this shop, and each time I've left extremely happy…read more The shop is on one of the main streets of Taylor, inside one of the older buildings in the area. Inside you'll find a wide selection of bikes for kids and adults, as well as traditional and electric-driven bikes. The company has been there for around 1 1/2 years, so it's still in its infancy. My son has an e-bike, which I've had issues with a couple of rear-tire flats, which I'd had fixed at Taylor Bike Company. Last time I was there, Eddie suggested that if I came in again, I should consider a liner insert, which would protect the inner tube from punctures. So, this time I've taken his advice, and he expects the tyre to wear down before I have to return with another flat. Service there is great, as Eddie talked me through everything he was doing. He also points out issues as he goes along, but would also adjust and fix minor things for free (much appreciated). One thing I really like about this store is that you can walk-in with a flat and they will try and fix it on the spot or do it within an hour or so. This allows you or your kids to be up and running quickly. It's a small, locally owned store that cares about making people happy. Oh, they play a great range of music, switching between rock, metal, and punk. What a great contrast to the building and its location. This is the only place I will bring our bikes from now on. I highly recommend it, so go and support this store!
