Clean pool! Large warm hot tub! Pleasant music throughout entire property. Very nice/clean gas grill that we used to cook pork chops and baked potatoes on! We love this place and can not wait to go back next year when we are booking an extra night this time just so we have more time to enjoy all this place has to offer!! BTW: this is a great motorcycle destination as the roads surrounding have lots of curves with awesome views. Just head south out of western Missouri on Rt23 and ride the "Pig Trail" down ... set google maps destination for : Mena Mountain Resort ... and then just sit back and enjoy the ride!! They have done a great job of increasing that value. Last time we were in town we let the others pick the place to stay. It was about $60 higher but not nicer. It was more than one level ( a hotel) , but that was it. This stay was Nov.7th, 2024. Andy at the desk , was very friendly. No negatives to report. Being a retired truck driver , I've stayed at hotels quite a bit. This Motel is one of my favorites. I hate to pay a sizable amount and it's nothing special. This place suits me perfectly! There is a steep grade climb up to the cabins, no issues for a car or truck. All of the cabins have a view. We stayed at the honeymooners cabin number three in the view from the screened in porch was amazing. The porch is where we spent most of our time. We used the Jacuzzi tub in the living room for a good hour of soak time before bed. The queen bed was comfortable for two people. Cabin was clean and spacious enough for us, And had everything we needed including a small refrigerator microwave toaster oven sink. Good size shower in the bathroom. We stayed in cabin 3, Honeymooners. The interior of the cabin is all wood but in really good condition and there was no smell of smoke. Good communications by text we never have to actually see anyone. Looking forward to the next visit!

They said the housekeeper walked out that day, but no one ever finished the room or closed the doors. They came and made the bed and let us go in. The room didn't feel clean, and after being a paramedic for years and going into nasty homes, I decided to check things out. I pulled the mattress back that they had JUST MADE and found remnants of blood spots and waste on the edges of the box springs. I knew it was from bed bugs, but trying to be optimistic I kept looking to see if I was wrong. Nope, the further I looked the more I found and then bam, right on the seams I found young and mature bed bugs still alive and moving. We immediately packed our stuff and went to tell them we were leaving to go across the street to Sun Country Inn (definitely recommend that place) and they weren't even surprised, they acted like it was normal and supposed to be acceptable and rudely told us "well you know there are no refunds, right?" I will NEVER stay here again and you shouldn't either.

This place is a nightmare. There is a sign posted at the front door that reads, "Absolutely no…read morerefunds". This should have been a red flag but my husband and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. What should have been posted under that sign was one that read, " Stay at your own risk!". The first night we discovered the room was infested with cockroaches. The moldy smell of the room should have been a warning. We notified the front desk and the hotel clerk walked with us to THREE other rooms before we found one without evidence of cockroaches. The rooms all had the same heavy, moldy smell. We awoke, on the second morning, to find BEDBUGS crawling across the pillows and after tearing off the bottom sheet, discovered blood spots everywhere! Sure enough, we were both covered in bites. UGH!! We took the evidence to the front desk and checked out of the hotel. We had payed for 5 nights in advance and asked to be refunded for the two nights that we were not using. We were assured that "management" (and I use that term VERY loosely) would get back to us. Of course they did not. After repeated attempts to reach somebody who could help, I was told today by someone in "management" that the mysterious man in charge was only able to offer us a free night in one of those vermin infested rooms. It was almost comical until I glanced at the ferocious red bites in a ring all around my neck. In fact, the silly woman I spoke with today, said that she found no bedbugs in the room when she looked at it. WARNING: Stay away from this place. It is not worth the risk.

Darren answered my call late at night and was able to get me a room. This place has incredible history. It's very charming. But, Darren was a big part of what made me enjoy my stay. I was alone, scared, and tired after being caught in that storm. Darren made me feel at home in this inn. He even made me some incredible blueberry muffins in the morning to send me off. This historical B&B is nested in the small town of Mena, Arkansas. As we drove upon the property, I already knew that we were going to have a comfortable stay as the driveway itself is elegant. The exterior of the home brings back all the character and charm of the 1900's. The innkeepers were one the friendliest hosts I have met. Both Darren and Jill went above and beyond to ensure that we had the most pleasant stay. A plus on this, is that Jill herself is a baker and had different types of cookies and muffins ready for us daily. Highlights were the blueberry muffins (berries locally picked) and the Louisianna Tea cookies (original family recipe). They even had plenty of drinks stocked for us throughout the stay. Darren himself is a concierge and was so knowledgeable of the home's history and the surrounding areas. The house itself was comfortable and one of a kind. We were given the top floor of the home which felt like a suite. The house has been kept to its original state. Everything from the windows to the doors, and ceilings are authentic. As we walked into the first room upstairs, we could not help but notice the coziness of the decor. The room itself has two twin beds and is connected to the primary bedroom and bathroom. The space was huge and felt welcoming. The beds themselves were so comfortable that we ended up sleeping in daily getting caught up on some much-needed zzz's. I was a little worried about thin walls, but you could not even hear a pin drop! On our last day, we sat out in their back porch sitting area to view the beautiful sassafras trees. These trees are the oldest trees in the area and were absolutely beautiful. As the sun went down, we started to see the mesmerizing fireflies making the our experience majical!. This brought back so many memories since do not have these back in Vegas. This was just a priceless moment for us! This by far was one of our best stays while out traveling. If we are in the area again, we will book another stay but if not, we will stop by for the treats! Thanks to Darren and Jill for the wonderful experience!

Every corner has dirt and cobwebs and who knows what else in it. The tray that holds our hotel soap is covered in either rodent feces or some type of mold. There was a live insect crawling on the wall that the TV is on. The bathtub is disgusting and the shower curtain is a barf-yellow color. This was one of the only places open because we booked last minute, and I can see why! I will never voluntarily come here again.
