She stated she could pay off a loan I had with Sun Loan, take over my car payment, AND help with some medical bills. I thought this was awesome (despite them taking over my car loan). I mentioned how nice it would be because not only would I get rid of both Sun Loan, and my car payment, I would only have the one payment to One Main instead of the three. She backtracked saying no, it would be a second loan, and I would have TWO loans with them because I couldn't refinance the first one, despite that being the reason she called me. 1) how could I be able to take out a second loan if I couldn't refinance the first one, and 2) why would anyone do that? I declined, and ended the call. She called me back an hour later, saying that she COULD refinance my first loan, and just not take over the car payment. I agreed, refinanced, and paid off Sun Loan. She did the same thing to my parents, actually tricking them into taking out a second loan. I didn't find out about it until a week later, to which I told them how she tried to trick me, but I caught her in her lie. Being a week later, the money was already spent, and she said there was nothing they could do, and actually tried to convince my parents she told them it would be a second loan. Both my parents state that she NEVER mentioned it being a second loan, and they never would've agreed to it. My Mom contacted corporate, and explained the situation, but nothing was done. Today, the branch manager called my Mom because they are behind on payments, and told my Mom that she spoke with corporate, and (covering her ass), said that she heard the assistant manager tell my parents repeatedly it was a second loan, it was their word against hers, and if they didn't pay, they would repossess my Mother's car. The branch manager heard no such thing come out of the assistant managers mouth as she never once mentioned to me that mine would've been a second loan. DO NOT give One Main your business. They are crooks. Period.

They got on the phone talked back and forth and decided That I would wire the whole payment for the car which paid it off in full and she would mail them the title to my truck. It used to be a good bank. Now it is more like a sitcom…read moremafia knockoff. Have had business with them for a decade, until i recently tried to get a loan. Long story short, after 3 weeks of waiting for an answer from the bank, a board member from them offered me a job, I refuse, i like my current one. The next day i was told i don't have the right employment to qualify for the loan. Reported to FDIC, they contacted bank, got letter from bank with different made up reasons why i didn't qualify. Had valve cores removed from tires giving me flat tires, newspaper glued to my windshield, and a note taped on vehicle , threatening the safety of my family if i don't drop it. State police wouldn't even make a report, no surprise since person i reported brother-in-law is one over the area. Made reports with sheriff department, filed another report with FDIC on new developments. They contacted bank, received letter full of made up stuff, and final line of no-one affiliated with our bank is responsible the actions taken against you/your property. Final note: took me 3 days at a real bank to get the loan, without threats against my family or slander against me. Thus ending my bus with them.
